His Worlds 2017 free skate is still said to be the best figure skate ever by anyone. It's magical. But then again all of his programs are.

He got his highest ever score for "Hope and Legacy" (his free skate at the 2017 World Championships). It is the most perfect thing you will ever see. Just breathtaking.

今回も、彼を理解してくれてて自分のことのよyにうれしかった。
今回も、涙が、なぜ？ 彼の選曲もあるかも。そして彼の演技力。
他のも、彼は、その都度、俳優がそのものになり切るように演技するように、いろんな表情で本気で演技します。
初めは、ついていけなかったですが、これが彼の本気の演技なのでしょう。本気で、成り切っていると思います。

That is Yuzu and his coaches watching and discussing the replay in the kiss and cry and Yuzu is laughing at his "mistakes". He apparently thought that his saving that last combo was hilarious for some reason. But a happy Yuzu is our joy and all we ever wish for and that was definitely a very happy Yuzu.

I've watched this performance so many times and yet I still find myself getting anxious with each jump
I love that man.. i became a fan of figure skating because of him. His artistry is just so amazing. I love how he interprets the music and integrate it in his movements. whenever he perform, i feel like its as if he's commanding the music to follow his movements (if that's even possible lol). No wonder why he was called the GOAT of figure skating..
edit: 14:26 as far as i know he holds many world record scores in FG. back then he was just breaking his own world records.. pls correct me if i'm mistaken.

This time, we would like to introduce you to his strong mental strength as an athlete.
In one of his matches at the 2014 China Cup, he collided with a Chinese skater during the six-minute practice session just before the competition and injured himself, but did not abandon the competition.

He had stitches to his head and jaw, and injuries to his abdomen, lower abdomen and thighs that required a three-week recovery. It was controversial that he may have suffered a concussion and should have abstained.
However, he returned for the last-minute practice (which had been suspended due to cleaning up bloodstains on the ice), which resumed 10 minutes after the collision.
In the competition, he finished second, despite falling several times on jumps.
Compared to the other competitors, all the elements of the technique were very difficult, and the composition was of a high level, even if the points were deducted from the respective basic points.

Brilliant, it reminds me of the Ukrainian skater Victor Petrenko in the 90s, he was also such an elegant skater
11:18 that's actually normal. The slant is from his curve to get on the proper edge for the jump.
