Marilyn Monroe war nicht nur Schauspielerin, Pop-Ikone und Sexsymbol, sondern sang auch in vielen ihrer Filme. Dieser Song - "I'm Gonna File My Claim" - stammt aus dem Film "River Of No Return" von 1954. Geschrieben wurde er von Ken Darby und Lionel Newman. Ken Darby war ein US-amerikanischer Komponist für Filmmusik, Musiktexter und Arrangeur, der dreimal mit einem Oscar und mit einem Grammy ausgezeichnet wurde. Er war zeitweise auch der Vocal Coach von Marilyn Monroe.
