I swear, we’ve been waiting for this for forever and while I’m still excited, I’m worried abt the live service aspect. What made the Arkham games great were the combat and the single player, story driven aspects. I’m scared but still have hope.
Story will be A plus definitely even though I didn’t like Arkham Knight that much the story, gameplay and graphics is what made me come back. I personally believe Batman Arkham Origins is THE Batman game
Yeah the game still looks fun just not what we were expecting it’s probably going to be at least ok.
What’s crazy is u could def tell flash wasn’t himself after Wonder Woman lassos him. Like u hear Barry and his kindness and goodness sayin they have to die for the world to live. Tht was a crazy moment. Just reminds u we aren’t fighting villains as evil as he seems. Like these guys are still the same heroes we know and love. I’m sure the acting is gonna be great.

Of course they will be the same. There’s no way they’ll stay like that forever and the ending would be just that. Im just more excited to play as Suicide Squad taking on the Justice League. Its a change of perspective and story is what im excited for.

For a third person shooter game, this is great!!! However i wish that they would maybe add a little bit more on-ground fighting (hand to hand) and traversal. make the game feel a bit more immersive like the Arkham games are. it feels like i’m watching them jump around and shoot like it’s fortnite or something. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

I’m hoping for the best, and that rocksteady will prove us all wrong. I only want the game to succeed. Especially since this is Kevin Conroy’s last performance.

Maybe that’s just editing for the video no where in the video do they mention switching characters. I think they said if you play single player you will have to use bots for teammates. To me that means you have to stick with you character. I hope you are right though.
They confirmed in the FAQ that you can’t change them during an active mission

It kinda looks like the whole gameplay loop is just a lot of shooting stuff. There will probably be quite a bit of bullet spongey enemies too if i had to guess

Deathstroke should be a DLC character because of the cutscene in Arkham Origins with Amanda Waller and Deathstroke. She was recruiting Deathstroke for the team, but nothings happend in the future.

I think they could have saved themselves a lot of trouble if they just came out from the beginning and said it was 100% a 3rd person shooter. Seems like some people were still hoping for some of that Batman hand to hand. If they started with 3rd person shooter from the beginning I think people would have gotten over it by now

Honestly gameplay looks fun to me but by biggest fear is the fear of what happens after the story. I know the story will be great but if there isn’t extra stuff to do around the map like in Arkham I’m going to be very upset.
I totally understand why people are nervous about certain elements of the game. Personally, I believe Rocksteady has earned the ability to receive some faith and I’m still really excited.

@@roninhubbard9059 I have faith in Rocksteady. I don’t like that there’s a battlepass, but personally that’s the only thing thus far I actively don’t like. The devs have shown how great they are in the past and I feel they’ve earned the benefit of a doubt.

I don’t like how every character is just a jump, high shoe character there’s no variety between them. If I want to plays boomerang, I want to throw boomerangs my plays Harley. I want to have a pistol in a baseball bat. I want to be king shark. I want to be just a melee tank, but they all just have machine guns and stuff.
They also have melee weapons. Harley has bats and sledgehammers. King Shark I bet will have a melee tree. Not sure what Boomerang and Deadshot have, they may not have melee weapons.

My opinion on what you said about The Batman boss fight and how they'd handle it. Going off what you said in the Batman reveal trailer for this game, I think the device he was holding is going to deactivate their firearms, and you have to fight Batman with melee combat. Which I think is how you SHOULD handle a Batman boss fight.

If I may, I wanna give a good explanation of this new footage for those hating on the shooter gameplay and traversal.
The reason why the Batman Arkham gameplay looks the way it does is because it encapsulates how Batman would move (with gadgets, detective mode, gliding, etc) Kill The Justice League’s gameplay is more like Sunset Overdrive (as stated by some of you guys), and it fits how the Suicide Squad would move (with agile and fast-paced traversal, very wacky and explosively fun shooter and hand-to-hand combat, and a battle pass for a bit of a side feature). This game can still turn out very good in terms of gameplay (even with live-service). It just depends on how Rocksteady decides to use the live-service element. Just wanted to put that out there, in case any of you were wondering.
My problem with it is that with a battle pass you’re expected to constantly grind to get loot. If you’re going to have loot/skins locked behind a paywall at least have the option to buy it separately. Mind you it’s already a $70 game.
@@nonameman7114 Well, I mean, considering that this both being made by Rocksteady and it being open-world, I can make a safe assumption that they’ll try and find a way to make it useful and easy for people. Besides, there’s no way Rocksteady would try to actually make it like Marvel’s Avengers. We can only hope, though for now.
Yeah a lot of people expect it to be similar to the Arkham's style of fighting. Its like they wanna see Boomerang or Harley fighting like Batman

We went from playing batman, and never even meeting any member in the justice league. Now we're meeting EVERYONE and not even as batman. I feel like this would've been better if you had to come back as batman (after faking the death) to save the world from the justice league. We all know batman has a failsafe for each member, but why not be batman and experience that. That would be the ultimate batman experience and a great send off for his character and Kevin Conroy as the character.
I’m worried about this game. That battle pass co-op an gear system history says it goes wrong. I don’t know why they didn’t do a skill tree an that’s it. I hate gear score games. No matter how old Batman’s three games get I can always come back an have a blast. I’m really intrigued how they make superman work because if works we need a superman game

Im really excited for this however I’m still pretty disappointed to not see Deathstroke not being involved with this, especially after Arkham Origins teased that he would have a role in Task Force X. I hope he’s DLC
They did say there’s more “villains” to appear and with Justice League obviously not being villains I would presume Deathstroke makes an appearance. I’m just praying we get some rumors answered such as if Bane and Mr Freeze are dead?

Personally I don't hate what I see but I'm not that hyped either, which is mainly due to the fact that I don't really care for the suicide squad. It's not because of the gameplay because it looks decent and very momentum based, similar to sunset overdrive. I also like what I've seen from the story so far, and the inclusion of the justice league. What I don't really like is the art style, because it doesn't seem like arkham at all. It looks more cartoony to me.

I've always been a massive fan of the Riddler, he's been my favourite villain since I was a kid. I would Love to have the Riddler as a DLC character, especially in his mech.

Man idk, this looks pretty fun. I thought very little of this game prior to seeing this gameplay, but now I'm legit excited to see more.
I’m really hoping there’s open world exploration elements to the game rather than just being dropped into the map for a mission then being immediately pulled back to the hub for upgrades. Half the charm of the Arkham verse is exploring and appreciating the details of the world-it also has me curious if there will be any sidemissions as well.
Like you said I’m wondering if there will be hand to hand melee combat because both the state of play gameplay and the og gameplay trailer from 2 years ago pretty much look like the exact same location/fight taking place which has me concerned if the entire battlefield is just going to be weightlessly zipping around the metropolis skylines fighting waves of similar enemies or if there is going to be any variety throughout the runtime

After watching this I'm pumped to get to play it now. It all looks great. Kind of wish they had some melee in it other than just executions but overall very satisfied so far. Definitely blowing gotham knights out the water. Still a little eery of the battle pass because I'm honestly tired of micros in games and all this extensive paid battlepass stuff when we already sometimes pay 100 dollars or more on game depending on the editions
I feel like they're gonna meet batman and get their asses handed to them, but batman will regain control of his mind and help free the JL from brainiacs control, all ending with the JL defeating brainiac with the help of the SQ and setting up other games for superman and the flash
Should've made it like Guardians and just let you use one person (preferably Deadshot) while simultaneously giving you the ability to command other team members.

Traversal looks fun but the gunplay seems really lacking, like it's got no impact and everyone's a bullet sponge.
@@meathandsmans They aren’t bullet sponges, there’s literally a scene where deadshot 1 shots them with his sniper. On top of that the game is based around stats and skills so if you’re build isn’t optimal then they will feel like sponges.
@@Only1Left ye well I dont think anyone wants to grind this boring combat to get better gear and loot. It's really just the most boring and overdone gameplay loop out there. And you're right, not EVERYONE is a bullet sponge, but there are enough, like the tank, that big brute, the helicopter, and even some of the little guys where it doesn't look too fun. Especially when some of the characters use smgs or machine guns, there just no impact or weight in the shots and none of the enemies really react. Like I said, the traversal looks pretty fun but what else is there? It's all just shooting. I saw like one grenade toss but otherwise everyone is just shooting. Could be okay but im not getting my hopes up.
@@meathandsmans The devs are using basic builds in this, once you have control you would be able to do crazy amounts of damage. That’s how every rpg is, I do agree that the gameplay does seem boring due to the fact that we only see them shooting and using takedowns. I also think it’s stupid they gave King shark and boomerang a gun when Boomers whole Schtick is literally throwing boomerangs and Shark is a bulletproof maneating brawler. Why would he need a gun…

I wish captain boomerang used his boomerang more than a gun. Like they all feel like he same just one is more powerful than the other. Why am I using Deadshot and boomerang if I can do all the same things just more power as king shark.
I was really worried about this game but this preview really lessened that for me.
I can tell an achievement for playing with DeadShot would be ,I missed, that would be funny if you missed just one shot

After seeing both new trailers, and not super impressed with some of the gameplay. I mean some of the graphics I saw in the gameplay were a little rough and the shooting looks the same as everybody else’s. Not enough melee or close combat which is what I hoping to see more of and it seems like King Shark is gonna be the main and only character for when it comes to melee fights. I’ve been way too hyped for this game for over 3 years so I’m definitely still gonna play it and looking forward to it.

I’ll wait for the reviews. Or anyone’s opinion. Just not the mood to buy 70$ due to it being online only. That means the developer can shut it down based on sales or the amount of support from the players and I’ve been seeing alot of live service games even the good ones getting shut down. It’s just a weird decision from rocksteady to do… once it shuts down it’s unplayable.

I’m not too hyped about combat, but these characters aren’t Batman. What makes it upsetting though is how there’s really no versatility between the characters, when it comes to combat. This feels like SunsetOD and the Crackdown series to me. The story seems like it will be the best thing about the game, and the open world appears breathable. The graphics from Arkham Knight are still top tier compared to this as well. Overall, its my opinion, maybe others feel the same. Only time will tell how the game holds up.

I wonder if Batman at some point will use Scarecrows fear toxin from Arkham Knight ending because that would make alot of sense.
However, I think Rock steady should add in alot of melee combat so the shooter style doesn't become boring very quickly for players.
I hope Rock steady sees the feedback for their game and fix what needs to be fixed before launch date.
Unfortunately they are too deep into development I don’t think they are gonna be able to add in a whole melee mechanic in time. I could be wrong but I think what we see here is what we are gonna get. The melee looks very simple, I feel like they spent more time developing the shooting and traversal gameplay and didn’t focus much on melee.

I wouldn’t want them to add melee if it’s tacked on it will be mediocre and take away from the shooting and slow the combat down I wish they had melee but it looks like most of the combat is centered around over the shoulder traversal. I just can’t see them adding combat without it slowing the gameplay loop. A good combat system would have to be built from the ground up and even then developers still manage to screw it up for some reason

Yk I figured out one of my main concerns. The combat doesn’t seem super satisfying. The lack of Melee is super disappointing but also the guns don’t feel like they have any impact. The only other thing is some of the hud and gear system. The graphics and story look amazing and I’m sure the traversal is fun

Ok this isn’t gonna happen but I think I’d be cool if you can kill the league or you can cure them. Curing them would be super difficult and a big challenge but at the end they help fight brainiac making his fight easier.
So a moral system like red dead 2’s where you can make good and bad choices? That would be sick
So glad that DLC characters have been confirmed. It seemed like a no-brainer, but it definitely wasn't guaranteed. Deathstroke is an absolute shoe-in for post-launch content, given how requested he is as well as the post-credit scene in Arkham Origins that was supposed to set up WB Montreal's Suicide Squad game. I also think Bane should be added to the game. I think he would be amazing. Ever since Arkham Asylum came out, little ReposefulCrane had nothing but a dream to play as Bane, especially since we got the Joker DLC for PS3. I dreamed up moves, how combat would work, just played with the idea. Arkham Origins Online was my favorite just because of the ability to play as Bane. I hope he at least appears in the game, maybe he is alive and in Metropolis, hence why we get Bane gear with what looks like poison status effects. But I still hope that down the line be becomes playable with an overhauled design that is closer to the Arkham Origins design or a mix of Origins and Asylum. But yeah, Deathstroke is guaranteed given his popularity in the Arkham community alone.

I actually don’t want to see anymore Arkham characters but Deathstroke would be great. Black Manta, Professor Zoom (Reverse Flash), also Ragdoll, Clock King, Dr. Light and OG members from the 80’s: Plastique, Bronze Tiger, Katana or Enchantress. All possibilities but i more so would like unknown villains. Peacemaker and so on are all new shit that came from the movie idk how i feel about it but Red Hood is a part of the Suicide Squad Z. Would like to see Squad members from SSquad Black like Gentleman Ghost and they can honestly bring back Batman since he’s a part of Suicide Squad Dark but it’s a Batman from an alternate universe
Looks so fire. UI is alittle bit ugly and I saw jank with Harley in the air but obviously it says they’re still in development so the gameplay will be polished and have more stuff. The story and graphics look fucking amazing though. Seriously. And the traversal looks OUTSTANDING. seriously. Finally another good AAA dc game. We haven’t gotten one for a bit
And lex looks like his Justice league animated series counterpart, which is fucking awesome, in fact so does deadshot with the helmet. The Arkham verse does take a lot of inspiration from the animated universe though. Which I always loved
This has 2 very melee type characters but they shoot 💀 this feels like a realistic only Dc Fortnite
