For any Pyromania fans out there, it's definitely worth checking out the deluxe edition. The bonus disc is a live show from the LA Forum in 1983. Adrenalize had a couple of excellent songs: Tonight, and White Lightning being the best of them. Retroactive (the followup) is a criminally underrated b-sides album from 1993. It was the heaviest thing they had released since Pyromania. Songs like: Desert Song, Fractured Love, Action, She's Too Tough, Only After Dark, Ride Into the Sun, From the Inside, Ring of Fire and I Wanna to Be Your Hero. I can do without Two Steps Behind, Miss You in a Heartbeat and When Love and Hate Collide.
I totally agree with your comments on both, Adrenalize and Retroactive. In fact, if Retroactive had been included in the list, it would be my number 2, after Pyromania.
I was about to chew you out but read your comment wrong. I originally saw it as, " Desert Song, Fractured Love, Action, She's Too Tough, Only After Dark, Ride Into the Sun, From the Inside, Ring of Fire and I Wanna to Be Your Hero, I can do without."

1. Hysteria (there I said it) 2. Pyromania 3. Adrenalize 4. High and Dry 5. On through the night Obviously I'm not the only person out there that loves Hysteria.
Hysteria is my favourite album also. 1995, 12 year-old teen, amazed with this disc. All right, the first two records are amazing, but come on, is it the same band from Pyro ? Three eras = 80-81 = hard rock 83-92 = pop metal 96-now = hmmmm, hard to not be disrespectful (although Slang is a great record, I said it, and Eupho has its moments)
It's my favorite as well. Sure it didn't rock as hard as the previous albums but they did something better imho. They created a whole new sound and wrote the best songs of their career. 1. Hysteria 2.Pyromania 3.High and Dry 4.Adrenalize 5.On Through The Night
1. Hysteria (my first album) 2. Pyromania 3. High n Dry 4. On Through the Night 5. Retroactive 6. Adrenalize 7. Euphoria 8. Slang 9. Def Leppard 10. X Def Leppard was never the same after Steve Clark died. I love the first four albums.
Euphoria was a good throwback album with some very goods songs: Promises, Paper Sun, Disintegrate (a great instrumental), Day After Day, and Kings of Oblivion.
I actually think Slang is criminally underrated. It's different for sure, but the ballads are pretty darn good and Deliver Me is fantastic! Not their best album, but it's better than a lot of their catalog.
1. Pyromania 2. High n dry 3. Hysteria (despite Sugar) 4. On Through The Night 5. Slang 6. Euphoria 7. Def Leppard 8. Sparkle Lounge 9. Adrenalize 10. X Honourable mention Retroactive has some garbage on it, but also some real gems. Especially Fractured Love and Desert Song.
Hi guys, love the show :) "On Through The Night" is one of those perfect albums for me. Everything works there for me - production, drumming, solos, riffs, vocals, energy. I really like every single track on that album. A lot. Great stuff!
I remember coming home from partying when i was 17 in 81 and plopping myself on the couch to watch MTV. I'm watching this video with the drummer that has no shirt and Union Jack shorts and it was Saturday Night (High n Dry). I was blown away!! What a great song and why don't they play this on the radio?? Then I later saw Let It Go and was further blown away! I immediately went out and bought the album and still listen regularly to this day!!
Totally agree. My all time favourite band. I like the diversity. I love Slang and Euphoria. And Hysteria and Adrenalize are my all time favourite albums.
Same, I think they have a really strong catalogue, there are some weaker albums in there but I love some of the albums that are showing up in the lower ranks here!
1. Pyromania 2. High N' Dry 3. OTTN 4. Hysteria 5. Slang 6. SFTSL 7. Adrenalize 8. Def Leppard 9. Euphoria 10. X My favorite band, I've seen them 21 times, but definitely hit/miss on the later albums. X is the album I might listen to every two years just to do it, but the rest I'll usually pop on when I'm working. I also had hoped Viv would add some needed hard rock influence, but it's become clear that Joe runs the show and he is quite comfortable having a more pop-leaning emphasis.
When Pyromania came out in 1983, EVERYONE was listening to that album. It ruled the airwaves, even though other bands also released some of their best albums the same year, many of which have held up better over time: Thin Lizzy: Thunder and Lightning Motorhead: Another Perfect Day Metallica: Kill 'em All Mercyful Fate: Melissa Iron Maiden: Piece of Mind Slayer: Show No Mercy Black Sabbath: Born Again Fastway: Self-titled Savatage: Sirens Accept: Balls to the Wall Gary Moore: Victims of the Future On a side note, I still remember the first time I saw Def Leppard at Legend Valley in Columbus Ohio, on a bill that included Ted Nugent, J. Geils Band, Scorpions, and Blackfoot. Def Leppard was virtually unknown at the time (pretty sure it was their first U.S. tour), and I remember someone brought a home-made banner with names of all the performing bands, and they spelled the band's name "Death Leopard!" I even found their set list from that show online. How's this for a quick, barn-burning set: 1) Hello America 2) It Could Be You 3) It Don't Matter 4) Answer to the Master 5) Medicine Man 6) Rock Brigade 7) Rocks Off 8) Wasted

HIGH AND DRY is without question the strongest Def Leppard album. The best songwriting, performance, and production, period. IMO, when Pete Willis departed, it was the beginning of the end. I saw the Pyromania tour live, and it was great... kicked the show off with Rock, Rock 'Til You Drop... but in all seriousness, all you need to have by Def Leppard are these first three albums w/ Pyromania at #3.
It has two new tracks. The rest are b sides, covers, bonus tracks, and songs they wrote that other bands released first. A typical odds and sods collection.
The Massengill moment had me snort my hot beverage through my nose but it was worth it! Classic fun which shows that this channel can even review bands with great and not-so-great albums and still show us all a riotously fun time doing so. Thanks, Pete and Lynne, for the shows today. Seeing Pete speechless was a first for me. Thanks again!
Thanks John...glad someone gets that every so often you can have some 'fun' at a bands expense who perhaps doesn't have a top to bottom stellar catalog. Too many people here acting offended because Lynne and I aren't in love with their whole discography.
1 - High And Dry 2 - On Through The Night 3 - Pyromania 4 - Hysteria 5 - Adrenalize Never liked much after the first 5 honestly except a song or two off of the 2015 self titled and Sparkle Lounge. They were one of the first hard rock bands I got into which led me to metal so I'll always thank them for that.
Good episode. The other day I was actually thinking that you haven't ranked Def Leppard yet, and here it is. Hysteria is my favourite but I totally understand why people put it lower on the list.
#1 High N Dry #2 On through the night #3 pyromania Also like parts of Euphoria, and Songs from the sparkle lounge, and Adrenelize. Don't need to hear hysteria ever again.
1. Pyromania 2. High N' Dry 3. OTTN 4. Hysteria 5. Slang 6. SFTSL 7. Adrenalize 8. Def Leppard 9. Euphoria 10. Very nice episode. Love Lynne's perspective, which definitely is fresh, in a fantastic way. The discussion on dancing is such a good point. Wish I was old enough to have been dancing to Def Leppard in the '80s with some rocking chicks.
T.Rex's 20th Century Boy is one of the heaviest anthems of the 70s, what a killer riff! Bolan had a massive metallic guitar tone at the time (Tanx era, late '72-early '73, you can hear it on Children Of the Revolution, Jitterbug Love, The Groover, Midnight). Girlschool covered it too, Placebo as well feat. Bowie live, but nothing like the legendary original.
Def Leppard rocks and Rick Allen is an amazing drummer!! Rick keeps rockin’ and is a miracle!! *I wish the best for him and his wife. Thank you for ranking all of Def Leppard studio albums. I’m looking forward to their next release!! I will always love Def Leppard!!🎤🎸🎵🥁
It's amazing how I know what your Top 3 will be in your videos and particularly this one. High n' Dry, to this day, will always be in my Top 10 favorites of all time. This album KICKS ARSE!
Great list and it's cool to see that people still like their early albums. But my favorite has always been hysteria. Rocket is definitely my favourite song. The main riff is one of my favourite riffs ever.
Great video! I like Hysteria and Pyromania more than the other albums. Followed by High N Dry. I don't mind their pop rock era. The songwriting tanks in later albums though. Still a great band though.
I don't really listen to Def Leppard anymore, but back in the day surprisingly, I loved Pyromania, and subsequently checked out High 'N Dry and On Through The Night, and liked the former but not the latter. Def Leppard decided, appropriately enough, in around 1984, to declare that they are not and never have been heavy metal (ala "We have never been at war with Eurasia" etc). Granted, they were a more polished and commercial version of metal, but the first three albums were definitely metal after a fashion. At least by early 80s standards. I think a lot of bands eschewed being labeled metal because they thought the term would limit their commercial and critical appeal.
One of the things I love so much about the Sea of Tranquility crew is the way they (especially Pete) convince you to go back and listen to stuff you have dismissed. I always liked "High and Dry" and "Pyromania" but dimissed "On Through The Night" as garbage. In fact, I hated OTTN because of the track "Hello America", and thought I had heard the whole thing. But an old friend insisted that I actually never heard the whole thing because I gave up on it He was right. That's a solid album. I recently re-listened to Whitesnake"s "Children Of The Night" based on stuff Pete said about it and realized, holy shit, he's right, that's a kick ass song. Thank you for all you do Pete. You're making life better!
#1 High N Dry #2 On Through The Night #3 Pyromania The rest i leave. Ha. I feel exactly the same. WTF happened after HnD?! They went from UFO to Nickleback. Damn disgusting.
Right there with you. After adrenalize which I like the quality has dropped off a cliff apart from the odd track. The most recent self titled was a decent effort but again after pyromania/hysteria it's hard to understand what happened. Undefeated which is a newer track is the best thing since pyromania. High n Dry has never been bettered.
Just for backdrop, I'm 39 and grew up hating Def Leppard. A vinyl group convinced me to get High N Dry about 6 years ago now. I was absolutely floored. Flat on my ass floored. How was this the same band that did garbage like Armageddon It? Quickly got the debut as well. Now I don't think they suck but instead get to lament how or why their hard rock awesomeness declined to little more than bubblegum rock. To know they were once amazing has been a blessing and a curse!
I love Slang ,Euphoria,X.Yeah!,Def Leppard these albums are so underrated and don't get the recognition that they deserve for being such amazing albums.
Great episode. Lynne with the Masingil comment...hilarious. I think Pete was turning red. Comin' Under Fire is one of my favorites as well, Pete. My rankings: 1. High N Dry (no argument there) 2. Pyromania (In my opinion Photograph is the perfect pop rock song) 3. On Through The Night 4. Hysteria Thats it....haven't listened to Sparkle Lounge but I will give it a listen...other than Euphoria I fell out of interest with them years ago unfortunately.
Lynne looks wonderful as always! Glad to see her doing programs! High N Dry, Pyromania and Slang are my top 3. I think I stopped listening after Slang, which I dug the grungyness. I remember when Hysteria came out, I was all excited because I had heard the lead single that came out before the album, which was Women, and I loved that track. Then I heard the rest and I didn't get into it at all. I've softened a bit since but it's not my favorite. Adrenalize was okay but nothing overly memorable aside from Do You Wanna Get Rocked.
How can you not love Lynne? Love chicks that say what they mean. It seems that everyone Pete has on are just nice folks. Must be something in that Hudson River water supply.
I'm with ya, Pete! Comin' Under Fire is my absolute favorite Leppard song. Why they never pushed this one is beyond me. Another great track is their concert opener, Rock Rock (Till You Drop). I can see why they open every show with this! It just gets you up and never lets ya down.
I was expecting them to open with it for the Stadium tour because that's what they started with the only other time I saw them. They didn't even though the beginning of the song they did open with was a complete ripoff of it.
As Pete predicted, glammed up or not, you're rockin' Lynne. Can't imagine the envy your dancer friends must have, lol. And I love hearing you two saying what fans have been thinking about Def Leppard forever.
Pete, I Thought You Weren't Going To Rank The Def Leppard Albums. Anyways.. My Top 5 Def Leppard Albums! 5. Adrenalize 4. Hysteria 3. Pyromania 2. High N Dry 1. On Through The Night. Nothing Beats That Debut.
I'll be the only one here who loves the album 'Slang'. It was different and to this day I still love it when the songs come up in my mix. IMO an underrated album, but that's me.
Finally some love for slang, and personally I think it has some of their heaviest stuff since pyromania, deliver me and gift of flesh. It also has some of their softest stuff as well. It's probably one of my top five albums not just by Def Leppard but by any artist
Had my hands on the High 'n' Dry Album, easily. For On Through the Night I had to order and wait for it for a couple of months, both albums were worth collecting even at such a high price.
Easy! High and Dry! But...I was 13 when Pyromania came out, so I friggin love that album! I had to backtrack to High and Dry and On Through the Night on the advice (orders?) of my older siblings....Some of my fave songs? Me and My Wine, Foolin, and Let it Go
I'm really interested in knowing how people rank Adrenalize, Retroactive and Slang cause those 3 have the potential to be dark horse albums for some people. I know Retroactive is a compilation but it's better than more of the later albums. I may listen to their album from 2008 after watching this video.
Yeah! Great comments of Lynne Versace. Especially I really like their comments on T. Rex. What a Killer riff is 20th Century Boy. It would be nice Pete Pardo would do someday a ranking of T. Rex albums. Lynne has to be in the Co-Captains chair. BTW the 20th Century Boy cover of DL is great.

I remember Def Leppard coming to prominence in the U.K. I bought the original EP on Bludgeon Riffola. At the time it was them and Maiden (who played at a local pub to me - The Ruskin Arms where I also gigged with my band) leading the charge of the New Wave of British Heavy metal and the first albums were hotly awaited. Both released, and I think in the U.K. Maidens was better received. They then supported AC/DC (Leppard) and Judas Priest (Maiden) on their respective routes to the top. Only gigs I have been to where the support act filled the house as well as the main act! But I agree with you guys here that after Pete Willis left Leppard they lost something and my interest also wained after Hysteria. Did enjoy seeing them on that tour though. Great memories seeing these bands rise to prominence back in the day.
The 2 first albums are must have classics! Once Pete Willis left and Phil joined, it went downhill fast and bad! I like the debut better than High & Dry, for 3 reasons: 1. A sentimental one: On through the night was my first NWOBHM album and I played non stop. It is my 2nd favorite album of 1980 only topped by Iron Maiden 2. On through has the better (metal) tracks: Answer to the master, Overture, When the walls came tumbling down are some of the most epic songs of that whole era. They combine the best and finest of the seventies British hard rock (Thin Lizzy, Queen, Priest) with the high octane of NWOBHM. Sorry Lynn, I don’t hear the connection with Southern rock. 3. Mutt Lange gave the band an almost forced AC/DC sound on High and Dry. I honestly think that those amazing songs would have been better if produced by Martin Birch or Tom Allom.
I think Pyromania is a fantastic album that got played out because of the hits, but really, if you could erase the memory of hearing 'Photograph' and some of the hits ad naseum and start fresh, it's a fantastic album and it does incorporate some of the style from 'High and Dry'. After Pyro though, 'Hysteria' has a few good tracks, but they were a different band completely, one that I never bought another album from.
Fun show...enjoyable discussion... LOVE the first three DL LPs...although I've heard bits of all of their records, I never liked anything after "Pyromania" enough to buy em.... I still own these: 1. "High 'n' Dry"- IMHO, one of the best LPs of the 1980s. I absolutely agree with Lynn, nothing in their catalog even comes close...every track is a killer... 2. "Pyromania"- tons of great tracks...although its a bit over-produced, the excellent performances and arrangements are fiery and inspired... 3."On Through the Night"- good straight hard rock...the material is a little hit 'n' miss (mainly its the juvenile lyrics)...killer guitars: Pete Willis sounded like a young Michael Schenker... IMHO, Viv Campbell likely started the Last In Line band to get his gunslinger on, as Def Leppard is quite tame and restrictive for such a talented player...
Retroactive should have got a mention, it's a good album, a mixture of rare tracks, b sides, and alternative versions of songs, with a good mixture of heavy rockers, mixed with a few ballads.
Gods of War is the most underrated Def Leppard song. My favorite on Hysteria and definitely in my top ten favorites by them.
did you know the weird backmasking on Rocket is Gods of War chorus backwards?
Where do you get these ratings from?

Thank you! Hysteria rules. I was in high school when i discovered Def Leppard and my dad and i bonded over them.
I love Hysteria! One of my favorite albums of all time.
I'm with you!! Love Hysteria.
It's my favorite as well. Sure it didn't rock as hard as the previous albums but they did something better imho. They created a whole new sound and wrote the best songs of their career.
1. Hysteria
2.Pyromania
3.High and Dry
4.Adrenalize
5.On Through The Night
After watching his channel for a while I've now realized that Pete has a great radio voice. It's a no brainer you're in journalism.
1. Hysteria (my first album)
2. Pyromania
3. High n Dry
4. On Through the Night
5. Retroactive
6. Adrenalize
7. Euphoria
8. Slang
9. Def Leppard
10. X
Def Leppard was never the same after Steve Clark died. I love the first four albums.
I would have put Retroactive up there too but couldn't work out if it was a compilation or not...
Euphoria was a good throwback album with some very goods songs: Promises, Paper Sun, Disintegrate (a great instrumental), Day After Day, and Kings of Oblivion.
Love Day after Day
I actually think Slang is criminally underrated. It's different for sure, but the ballads are pretty darn good and Deliver Me is fantastic! Not their best album, but it's better than a lot of their catalog.
1. Pyromania
2. High n dry
3. Hysteria (despite Sugar)
4. On Through The Night
5. Slang
6. Euphoria
7. Def Leppard
8. Sparkle Lounge
9. Adrenalize
10. X
Honourable mention
Retroactive has some garbage on it, but also some real gems. Especially Fractured Love and Desert Song.
Hi guys, love the show :)
"On Through The Night" is one of those perfect albums for me.
You guys are the best and always put a smile on my face. 😄
I might catch a lot of shit for this but Def Leppard is my all time favorite band, it’s the diversity in their catalog that makes me enjoy them a lot
Same
Your not alone dl my favorite over 25 yrs
Totally agree. My all time favourite band. I like the diversity. I love Slang and Euphoria. And Hysteria and Adrenalize are my all time favourite albums.
Same, I think they have a really strong catalogue, there are some weaker albums in there but I love some of the albums that are showing up in the lower ranks here!
1. Pyromania
2. High N' Dry
3. OTTN
4. Hysteria
5. Slang
6. SFTSL
7. Adrenalize
8. Def Leppard
9. Euphoria
10. X
My favorite band, I've seen them 21 times, but definitely hit/miss on the later albums. X is the album I might listen to every two years just to do it, but the rest I'll usually pop on when I'm working.
I also had hoped Viv would add some needed hard rock influence, but it's become clear that Joe runs the show and he is quite comfortable having a more pop-leaning emphasis.
Awesome show guys! Lynne on the show is always a good time... love the brutal honesty!
When Pyromania came out in 1983, EVERYONE was listening to that album. It ruled the airwaves, even though other bands also released some of their best albums the same year, many of which have held up better over time:
Thin Lizzy: Thunder and Lightning
Motorhead: Another Perfect Day
Metallica: Kill 'em All
Mercyful Fate: Melissa
Iron Maiden: Piece of Mind
Slayer: Show No Mercy
Black Sabbath: Born Again
Fastway: Self-titled
Savatage: Sirens
Accept: Balls to the Wall
Gary Moore: Victims of the Future
On a side note, I still remember the first time I saw Def Leppard at Legend Valley in Columbus Ohio, on a bill that included Ted Nugent, J. How's this for a quick, barn-burning set:
1) Hello America
2) It Could Be You
3) It Don't Matter
4) Answer to the Master
5) Medicine Man
6) Rock Brigade
7) Rocks Off
8) Wasted
Just my opinion, After PETE WILLIS departure, never the SAME ! 👍💯
Agreed, and after Pyromania not worth listening to.
truest statement ever
Spot on. No decent later albums, Hysteria & onwards utter shite
That's true. I think he actually plays just about everything on Pyromania but was fired before it was released. Phil Collen only did some overdubs.
@@b.g.5869 that was nice of them lol - he didnt really miss much after being fired -hysteria sounded gr8 but had nothing of much substance on it - it gathered dust soon afterwards for me - i like the title track also gods of war - thats it - pour some sugar!!! yikes lol no thanx

1 - Pyromania
HIGH AND DRY is without question the strongest Def Leppard album. The best songwriting, performance, and production, period. IMO, when Pete Willis departed, it was the beginning of the end. I saw the Pyromania tour live, and it was great... kicked the show off with Rock, Rock 'Til You Drop... but in all seriousness, all you need to have by Def Leppard are these first three albums w/ Pyromania at #3.
My Top 5:
1. Pyromania
2. High n Dry
3. On Trough the Night
4. Hysteria
5. Adrenalize
1. On through the night
2. High 'n Dry
3. Pyromania
I remember seeing them in Liverpool's Royal Court Theatre in 1981, really good times...
I was lucky enough to see Def Leppard in 1980, on their first American tour. Opened for Scorpions and Ted Nugent. What a night!
I actually like most of their albums and was surprised “Retroactive” wasn’t included. Certainly better than the “Sparkle Lounge” and “Yeah” albums.
wikipedia calls it a compilation album
@@billymuellerTikTok and the reason why they do that is because songs like Ring of fire and I wanna be your hero have already been released as b sides

Never liked much after the first 5 honestly except a song or two off of the 2015 self titled and Sparkle Lounge. They were one of the first hard rock bands I got into which led me to metal so I'll always thank them for that.
Euphoria is underrated! “Demolition Man,” “Promises,” and “Day After Day” are my favorites
On thru the night. And high n dry. That's it for me
I've heard an interview with Joe Elliott and he hates on Thru The Night. Claims it was too poppy and not enough metal but i love that album.
Yeah that's what I read. Lol
Good episode. The other day I was actually thinking that you haven't ranked Def Leppard yet, and here it is. Hysteria is my favourite but I totally understand why people put it lower on the list.
More great entertainment from Sea of Tranquility. Thanks to both Pete and Lynn.
Really enjoyed this one,Lynne is fantastic and love her input to the show.
Thank you ☺️

Very nice episode. Love Lynne's perspective, which definitely is fresh, in a fantastic way. The discussion on dancing is such a good point. Wish I was old enough to have been dancing to Def Leppard in the '80s with some rocking chicks.
Lynn looks good no matter what she's wearing.
Thank you !
@@lynneversaci7649 You're welcome! I enjoy watching you on Hudson Valley Squares, especially the way you and Butch go at each other.
Black Sabbath cross on - Sunday !
Agreed!!!!
First 3 albums is where it's at for me. Lynne looking fabulous as always. Happy Birthday soon!
Def Leppard went from having that unique rocking sound in the early years to morphing into a “sound like the others” to make a few hit records.
Great post guys🤘😎🤘. I really need to dive into the def leppard catalog. Cheese
1. Pyromania
2 High N Dry
3. Hysteria
4. Adrenalyze
5. On Through the Night
All the rest
1. On through the Night 2. High 'n' Dry 3. Pyromania (is listenable). THE END
word!
I can't argue much but I do like a couple of songs post - '83
I really did like Hysteria at the time it came out, but it hasn't aged well. I don't care for anything after that.
@@electrofunk5442 Hey, I'm sure there's a good song or two beyond Pyromania, i just lost interest in the band as they got poppy and cheesy. Cheers!
I'm with you. I love high n dry, but On through is a masterpiece. Only album I played to death back in 83
Def Leppard rocks and Rick Allen is an amazing drummer!!
Lynne's lines are getting up there with Chris Alo's! This is awesome!
Thank you!
"Find your lane AND STAY IN IT!" LOL!!
1. High 'n' Dry
2. Pyromania
3. On Through The Night
4. The Rest
But an old friend insisted that I actually never heard the whole thing because I gave up on it
He was right.
That's a solid album.
I recently re-listened to Whitesnake"s "Children Of The Night" based on stuff Pete said about it and realized, holy shit, he's right, that's a kick ass song.
Thank you for all you do Pete.
You're making life better!
#1 High N Dry
#2 On Through The Night
#3 Pyromania
The rest i leave. Ha. I feel exactly the same. WTF happened after HnD?! They went from UFO to Nickleback. Damn disgusting.
damn bones,
my sentiments exactly.
went deaf to the lep after their third
Bang on and there a local band to me living 20 mins from Sheffield never have got anything after pyromania

Again... Pete Pardo rocks
Thanks!
I love Slang ,Euphoria,X.Yeah!,Def Leppard these albums are so underrated and don't get the recognition that they deserve for being such amazing albums.
Agreed. Great underrated stuff to find. Sure, nothing beats H'nD, Pyro and Hysteria.
@@stinky_nut_blast I agree nothing will best the Steve Clark era but i will always stand up for Vivian Campbell era as well.
Slang underrated and last one self titled I dig a lot.
Lynne we missed you this past Monday on the Hudson Valley Squares. We need your interactions with Butch. So entertaining. 😆
They make the show 🎉
Lynn is gorgeous.
Thank you ☺️
Great episode. Lynne with the Masingil comment...hilarious. I think Pete was turning red. Comin' Under Fire is one of my favorites as well, Pete.
My rankings:
1. High N Dry (no argument there)
2. Pyromania (In my opinion Photograph is the perfect pop rock song)
3. On Through The Night
4. Hysteria
Thats it....haven't listened to Sparkle Lounge but I will give it a listen...other than Euphoria I fell out of interest with them years ago unfortunately.
I have said for decades that there is no better pop rock song than Photograph.
I remember that. Women was heavy and it seemed like it was going to be a much harder album.
1.- High'n Dry
2.- On Through the Night
3.- Pyromania
4.- whatever...
How can you not love Lynne? Love chicks that say what they mean. It seems that everyone Pete has on are just nice folks. Must be something in that Hudson River water supply.
❤️❤️😊
Almost 50, and looking great. Love the attitude.
Hysteria’s always been a guilty pleasure
Fun show, guys!!! 🤘
Thanks 😊
Great video, I laughed a lot on this one
Awesome
Great video! I love Hysteria though.
Lynne's the real deal, thanks for the great chat
Thank you !
Great heavy rock band. I dig them a lot. My top three albuns are: 1- Pyromania (kickass), 2- On Through the Night, and 3- High'n'Dry.
It was "Night" "High" "Pyro" and out for me with this band. But what a glorious reign it was.
Pete, I Thought You Weren't Going To Rank The Def Leppard Albums.
Anyways.. My Top 5 Def Leppard Albums!
5. Adrenalize
4. Hysteria
3. Pyromania
2. High N Dry
1. On Through The Night.
Nothing Beats That Debut.
High N Dry definitely beats it
Great show, love Lynne's energy.
Great ranking!
I'll be the only one here who loves the album 'Slang'. It was different and to this day I still love it when the songs come up in my mix. IMO an underrated album, but that's me.
I kinda enjoy 'Slang' too. Not their best album but not too far from their best, imo
Pete’s right about the comments , but Lynne is always smokin’ !! 🖤❤️🖤
Especially I really like their comments on
T. Rex. What a Killer riff is 20th Century Boy.
It would be nice Pete Pardo would do someday a ranking of T. Rex albums. Lynne has to be in the Co-Captains chair.
BTW the 20th Century Boy cover of DL is great.

Honorable mention: Retro Active, not a studio album per se, but an awesome collection of demos/outtakes
I really enjoy retro active. Everything after Euphoria I have no desire to ever hear again. First 3 are classics.
The 2 first albums are must have classics! Once Pete Willis left and Phil joined, it went downhill fast and bad!
I like the debut better than High & Dry, for 3 reasons:
1. A sentimental one: On through the night was my first NWOBHM album and I played non stop. It is my 2nd favorite album of 1980 only topped by Iron Maiden
10:44 is the highlight of this video
Fun show...enjoyable discussion...
LOVE the first three DL LPs...although I've heard bits of all of their records, I never liked anything after "Pyromania" enough to buy em....
I still own these:
Yes. Three of their best tunes are on it with Ring of Fire, Desert Song and Fractured Love
