I love it, I call it home. Have lived here for 23 years now, raised my kids and now have a grandchild growing up here. Glad you enjoyed your stay in our neck of the woods.

I really enjoyed this video. I grew up a half mile from the Boy Scout Tree and there and at the falls, caught a lot of trout in Jordan creek

Stuck on the ‘Last Chance Grade’ what an opening, and very familiar to anyone who lives in the emerald Triangle.

They truly are impressive, walking among them begs you to slow down and just appreciate the grandeur!

Had to work backward to catch up. We were short on cell service in the Black Hills National Forest. Thank you so much for putting the date on your videos. Makes it so much easier to figure out good dates to visit. The hardest part of planning a trip is figuring out when to arrive at certain campsites. So many not open until Memorial weekend. Opening and closing dates are not always easy to find.

Sorry you’ve had trouble with opening dates, I feel like we haven’t encountered that too much but then again we follow the weather so maybe that’s part of it. Anyway, happy to help! Best of luck with your trip planning!

I use to go to Crescent City a lot for work but it's been years since I have been there. Thanks for sharing. Very peaceful place... Water is too cold to swim in thought, at least for me :)

On our honeymoon we ended up in a line of traffic like that just after we got over the California border into Oregon along the coast. Turns out that a cement truck had an accident and they were cleaning up the mess. We sat there for a couple hours. During those days we didn’t have a trailer. Certainly would have come in handy! We love Jedediah Smith park. The trees there are just huge! Thanks for sharing a bit of home. We have totally enjoyed your visit to California. Thanks for sharing.

Wow. The Redwood forests are so amazing. I'd love to see them again. Fun shots of the snails! They have to be the weirdest things. 😄

Wow - the photo of him walking away on the trail through the trees (the last one) - awesome! I had to write Orman Guest Ranch down - just our style. Beer looked good too! I’m concerned about when we head out in a a couple of months as we literally have no plans. I don’t feel I can plan until we know what’s on fire. We have had to deal with fires so much in the last 7 or 8 years. We might just have to head East instead of North. Anywho - loved this one!

Wildfire season is definitely something to plan around 😣 I feel like if you’re ok with short state park stays (maybe mixed with private campgrounds) you should be ok, especially after the peak of summer travel, fingers crossed! Safe travels wherever you end up!

We will have to keep that place in mind. We are a few weeks behind you guys heading up to the Olympic Peninsula. Are you guys continuing north? The 2019 Bash shirt reminded us of meeting you guys there. Would be fun to meet up again. Safe travels,
    Eric and Robbyn

We still have yet to visit the Olympic peninsula, sounds like you’re on an amazing adventure. We’re in Oregon for a few more weeks then we’ll see! Thanks for reaching out, always great to hear from our fellow Xscapers!

Come back again someday and add another review once you start really learning about the redwoods. Share something unique that maybe you noticed changing over a year, two or three.

It’s definitely difficult to do a deep dive when you only visit a place for a few days but we’ve loved every visit to the majestic Redwoods, any amount of time you can spend here is well worth it ✨
