Easiest way to put on a duvet is to turn the cover inside out and sandwich it to your comforter. Tie off the corners (if it’s got ties) and then put your hands inside the cover to the top corners, grab the comforter top corners at the same time and then flip the whole thing right side out. You can find this method with video on TH-cam and it really works! Taught my family and my kids can even do this.
Lay it out flat on the floor too.

A tip I learned a long time ago to keep your nightstand tops nice (if you know you are going to set down cups a lot like I do-) get a couple of really nice quality thick fabric placemats from HomeGoods or Walmart and use them as a “topper” for your side tables. Kinda like the old school dresser scarves and runners. This works well without ruining the paint or finish on your table tops and you can wash them. I’ve also used the plastic wipeable placemats from Walmart (usually on an end cap) for years under my coffee station, as it’s on an antique piece of furniture. This helps protect the furniture and I can change the prints or colors out for the different seasons.
