Every moment we spent together we laughed joked and were the happiest couple you would have ever crossed paths with. She gave me everything I could have ever asked for or wanted and I gave her everything I had including my heart and soul. She was the only woman to make my heart melt into my tequila glass This song makes me sad. I lost my fiance Kayleen Davenport to cancer a week before our wedding in June of 2018. The day of and days before our wedding I wasnt celebrating, I didn't have a bachelor party, I wasn't trying on suits or freaking out about getting married, there were no wedding jitters, I wasnt jumping around nervous, I wasn't putting on a suit and tie preparing for the most amazing day of my life, I was drinking tequila preparing for the worst years of my life to come, drinking till I couldn't walk straight laying my fiance, my best friend and soul mate down to rest among the stars. I remember the entire week leading up to my wedding I sat in bars getting drunk off my ass and sleeping in bushes and parks afraid to go home because it hurt to be in our house alone, I would crank up country music as loud as I could hoping to drown out the world around me and just drink bottle after bottle of tequila praying I wouldn't wake back up I packed up one suitcase and walked away from my life in Hawaii. Got on a plane to California and then hopped on a Greyhound and began to lose my self and everything I once was. Tequila became my best friend and at times my only friend. I lost a big part of who I was and am and I lost my heart. The day she passed away I didn't get to say goodbye or I love you, it just came in the blink of an eye unexpected. Hit me like a ton of bricks. She was my strength and the only thing that kept me going. Now all I got is her love packed in a suitcase and bunch of pictures and memories and a good bottle of tequila. I love you Kayleen your prince charming is here waiting for the day the good lord takes my life and brings me home to you. It's not the same here without you, drinking tequila and Coors lite alone smoking cigs and dancing under neon skies everything is just reminders of our life we had, never have I ever watched my heart melt into my tequila glass until I met you now my glass is full of tears and memories and my life is fading away the curtains have closed and the show is over. The lights shut off and am standing in the dark lost.
Hi John, thank you for that, I'm hoping to see gig in Wales though. We had tickets for Great Yarmouth in October, unfortunately, the event has been cabcelled. So we still wont get to them. Here's hoping
