I feel like the suspension should be a little bit stiffer
My tailbone shares the exact same opinion!!! I cased a jump at the havoc pitbike race, and i thought i broke it. 😬

@@deadeyeduo9422 absolutely they are. The 2003 rides as if it was a 2018 or so. Both are great but the 07 has one of them thar 🕷 clutches so it makes it really fun.
So much you can do to these bikes. With the new decals and ALL the new colors the have for our bikes across the pond. Makes it worth wild to step out from the traditional orange and think outside the box.

Have a tunned up 65 the last 2 years it's a ripper basicly used it as a pitbike for 2 yrs also have a 450 but the 65 is more fun esp with a few of us on the minis 😁
They are so much fun, and like you said, it just gets better when there is someone to send off a berm.🤙🏻
How has the top end held up on the 65s with an adult rider?
wow! so much hate in the comments for a bunch of lads hitting up the small bikes having some fun. glad i came across this video im 30 years old and gonna buy a 65sx to go up against my mates 110s we all race them around the small track at the farm, so much fun, better then the big bikes haha.
It's all about having fun and making memories with friends 👍🏻 and sometimes sending them over a berm or two.

I bought one today and is using it as a pit bike, it is FUN!!

If you want to wake up the KLX 110 put a FMF pipe on it. Nice sound and adds power. I have a video of ours.
We have an fmf on it now👍🏼 and i definitly agree it helps wake it up.
You need a 50 Nm rear spring and 3,2 Nm fork springs to igualate klx handling
Ya sounds like that would help with the igualation...
65s are fun. My son has a KX65. But I’m about your size and on a small track they really don’t have power down low. We also have a KLX 110 and it pulls me no problem. But in an open field the 65 will rip when it’s in the power band and its light.
I adjusted the idle higher than it comes from the factory, and that gave it a lot more bark off the bottom. Maybe try that.
Also for referance I'm 6'3" 225 pounds
DeadEyeDuo definitely tighten up the rear suspension or you will bounce 😆
Remember they are made for 80 lbs kids. Also if they sit idling or ridden slow they will overheat. I use Engine Ice blue coolant in our liquid cooled bikes. It can stand higher heat if you every change the coolant 👍🏼 Have fun !

How long does the top end last with an adult rider on the ktm 65? With moderate riding?

Are you running motorex 2t at 60:1 or a different ratio since you are a heavier rider than the typical kids that ride these bikes?

A lot of the used 65s are going to be former race bikes, which is not always bad. I would go for one with no engine mods. Hope you find one, they are a lot of fun. 🤙🏻
how tall are these guys riding these bikes ?? i’m 6’4 and wanted one to use as a pit bike but i feel i’m too tall
One of us is 6’3. The other is shorter… it’s a small bike either way.

We ride big bikes too. I ride a ktm 500 and Ryan rides a 300. We ride mostly at the desert🏜 here in SoCal. You can check it out in some of our other videos👍🏻

They are great bikes. Perfect for a young rider to get their start, and a lot of fun for adults too.

We were commenting on the fact that i use it as a pitbike. A lot of people seem to think you can't use a 65 as a pitbike. It's not a pitbike for the kids who race them, but can be used as a pitbike.

@@deadeyeduo9422 I will if i eventually get one. But i asked my mom if i could get 65cc pitbike but she said no and we had plans on getting KTM SX 125 already so in winter i will hopefully get that and maybe in summer or even later i will get the pitbike if i need one

What kind of riding are you planning on doing?
@@deadeyeduo9422 back yard tracks but i want to be able to get the most out of suspension. I weight 185-190
The best suspension for that weight is going to be on the 85, but an 85 is way too much bike for small backyard tracks. You would have fun on a 65, just need to respring and revalve the rear shock. Also can't go wrong with a 110.

Lotta haters in here. I have a crf110 but thinkin of scooping a little 65 as well. If your an adult and riding a little kids bike, I’d consider it a pit bike 🤷🏻♂️

You are half correct on that one. The ktm 65 was designed for kids to race, i agree with that. However, the small dirtbike that i ride around in the pits of races is a ktm 65 sx. One man's race bike is another man's pitbike. It may not be designed to be a pitbike, but we use it as a pitbike.
