We're not angry that billionaires can't solve our problems. I'm angry that billionaires are buying our politicians and manipulating our laws and regulations in a ways that favor their corporate interests at the expense of small businesses, startups and people like myself. I'm angry that I was making minimum wage and struggling to feed myself and find shelter and 26% of my income was taken off of my paycheck before I received it for taxes and Social Security, but major corporations like Google pay nothing in taxes after deductions and corporations like ExxonMobil even get subsidies from the government meaning that my tax dollars were going to for-profit corporations that were running multibillion-dollar profits, while providing no tangible benefits to taxpayers in return for those subsidies. I'm angry that deals sit before Congress today that have 80-plus percent of the American public supporting them and they cannot even get voted on because billionaires have paid our politicians not to vote on them. I'm angry that net neutrality was canceled by billionaires whose opinions are apparently so much more important then ours even though we are the voters. And bankruptcy protections are going away for the same reasons. Our students are in so much debt that it is insane. They can't even declare bankruptcy on student loans at all. Thats why we're pissed off.
@Al S Just disagreeing with your world view doesn't make him unstable. People don't want billionaires buying elections. Not them and not now. That man who shouted at Schultz is a hero, and we need someone to do the same at a Bloombucks appearance. I lived in NYC in those years. If you enjoy skyrocketing rents and more giveaways to the rich, vote Bloomberg.
Blaming Bloomberg for skyrocketing rent is kind of like blaming Trump for a particular person’s unemployment. Sure, they’re technically related in a bureaucratic and overcomplicated way, but expecting the leadership to directly engage in helping you solve your personal problem without any consideration for other issues is unreasonable. I’m not a fan of a bloomberg run despite my neutral-positive feelings on the guy, but he was pragmatic, decisive, and left a good legacy with a lot of people.

Bernie has a lot of good ideas but he needs to attack less industries and focus tax reform for billionaires to pay a little more, and not the middle class. If He tries to demonize bankers, contractors and landlords and other upper middle class people he won’t win. His idea to tax real estate so much that contractors can’t profit from buying and fixing homes to resell, it’s ridiculous and pandering to populous ire against the wrong target. Making money shouldn’t be the problem. The problem should be things like access to healthcare for all or billionaires paying tax fair tax rates and not rates below the middle class.
Bernie's routines isn't exactly "swim, go to the coop and go back home". It's more like, up at 5, swim, go to the coop, go to a roundtable with veterans, have lunch, radio Interview, staff meeting on legislative agenda, meet strikers on the picket line and fly to Iowa for a rally. The dude's only time where he wasn't canvassing the whole country was the week of vacation he took after his heart attack. He's not really the lazy stay at home type talking to none type.
So true. He keeps an intense schedule! Earlier in the campaign, he was doing multiple parades in one day (walking 8 or 9 miles!), then going to a rally & speaking, plus meetings, plus travel. I'm half his age and I couldnt keep that up. I have complete faith in his ability to run the country.
Did a quick dictionary search because I was genuinely curious and I think the word you're looking for is "screw". He screws his employees by not paying them a living wage. It's only vilify if he spoke or wrote about them in a abusive manner.

@First Last Here's a way to understand why being a billionaire is way different than being a millionaire. If you made and saved $15,000 a day, it would take you just over 2 months to become a millionaire. It would take 182 years to become a billionaire. It would then take you 19,908 years to have as much as Jeff Bezos.
@First Last so you're just guessing how much Jeff Bezos has in actual money. And isnt that the same for Bernie. As in he doesnt actually have millions in cash, but in assets. The whole point is no one needs that much money, especially the owner of the company that makes billions, doesn't pay taxes, and until recently was subsidized by YOU the taxpayer because he did not pay his employees livable wages.

We're not angry that billionaires can't solve our problems. Look at the current political climate, middle class is shrinking with little to no opportunity to rise up from their status and make it. You have to ask yourself why is the system setup that way? Who makes the rules? Who gains the most from these rules and system? It's always the ones with the most wealth because again money = power, with money you can influence governments, economy, education and health to a large degree, I'm not saying all wealthy people are selfish, greedy sobs but I'm pointing out to a system where it's messed up where a majority of the populace have little opportunity to gain because the few with the capital and the most amount of resources control and manipulate the control mechanisms in place for the majority of the populace to gain some semblance of quality living.

@Jib Jabs Well, actually the wealthy are ruining it too. You don't think Microsoft has lucrative government contracts ? One of the things too is the current job works program we have with the out of control defense budget (It is HALF of the budget - everything else crammed in the other half, so consider that) and yet no accounting has been required by the Pentagon before Congress hands out funds to it (which tRump stole some for his wall, putting long due projects like base school updating etc. on hold. The wall that has been sawed through by a $ 100 saw too) . That one Inspector General's report found that they wasted 150 billion- and those contracts pay off for those initiating them, but if you call for defense cuts as a politician, like Bill Clinton, the right hammers you and you are accused of endangering the country.
