It's unreal what some companies charge for NG. The exchange market price is around $3/mcf or 30 cents per CCF. Our utility claims they pass on their cost with no markup, but they charge .60 to .80. You say yours is $1.70 and the host says his is even higher.
Which thermostat is that? Do you not need a outside sensor?
The Thermostat I used in this video was an EcoBee. It does not require an outdoor sensor.
At a $1.70 a CCF for Nat. gas in my area, I'll stick with Natural gas as the primary source of heat.
I love the energy density and heat output of Natural gas. I only wish it was that price in my area!
