I get the point that you’re trying to be a good mom but if you’re wasting money on teens who aren’t even you’re kids. And if their parents know that they are going to a pool then shouldn’t the parents make snacks for their kid?? Bc it would be more fun for the kids to trade snack so they could try new things. I would have been grateful as a teen just to be able to be invited to swim in a friends pool...I never asked them for snacks and drinks...never even crossed my mind...dont those kids have parents?? Bring a bag lunch if you want to eat...why should this mom feed all those kids every single day? Plus, when kids are in that " part type mood" they are just stuffing their faces full of food or wasting great amounts of food and drinks because they are having to much fun with their friends to pay attention to how much they are consuming or wasting...call me whatever name you choose...blast me in the comments but I never did that as a kid and there is no way that I would do this every day...maybe a once a week treat but BYOB
Why are her friends your responsibility? I understand they are at your house but life’s full choices, if they are teenagers they can pack themselves something or even bring their saved up money, put it all together and buy food.
It's not about it being her responsibility or not, those are her daughters friends. She wants to create an environment where teenagers are free from daily life in a sense. Not all teenagers work, or have spare change to get snacks like that, you don't know what their situation is like at home and if they have access to a lot of food And it is kinda impolite as a host to guests, to not at least have something simple to offer or have if requested. She's not making entire meals for them, simply having snacks and drinks by the pool. Which if u are in the pool, it's a hot day and u wanna stay hydrated and fed. She's not doing it because it's her responsibility or because she has to, but as something she wants to do
