Since the death of Emmylou's singing partner and mentor, Gram Parsons, in 1973 at the tragically young age of 26 Emmylou has promoted his music because she wants the world to hear his beautiful voice. How pleased she must have been to hear this beautiful song paying tribute to their partnership.
I assume the most bittersweet context to Emmylou hearing this perfomance live is Graham , June and Johnny have all passed ... ~ Just thinking of the good times and missing them ...
First aid kit are 2 sisters. Toured abroad. Emily sits with our King. (Polar price is formed after the Stickan Andersson. Former manager to ABBA) Tip: Sabaton /Apocalyptica "Angels calling".🤘🎻 Hug from Sweden 🇸🇪
I absolutely loved how beautiful and honest you both were with your reactions to this song.❤ First Aid Kit's music got me through a lot of tough times in my life, and it was so wonderful to see others experience and love this song like I do.
Hallo you two. My name is Thor and i am one of your Norwegian longtime subs. In Norway we know good music ref. Aurora or Angelina and other nordics. First Aid Kit i heard first time more than 10 years ago on a forestconsert on the border Norway Sweden. UP here they have a sort of cult status. This is swedish native forest girls like our Aurora. You absoluttly ned to realt to they perform The Lions Ro are. Then you vill understatement wat i talk about. I love your reactions by the way, allways. Feb facts, heretter Emmylou sits Witherspoon king Carl Gustav of Sweden by here side.😊 Love from the north.❤
If you want to hear more of the polar music prize look for Gregory Porter singing “it’s probably me” a song written by Sting and Eric Clapton! Unbelievable arrangement and sung by one of the best artists out there right now! I saw Gregory a few years back and his voice brought me to tears. So so good! You could see the audience was under his spell! Please check it out you won’t regret it!❤
Johanna and Klara are very, very talented. Not all of their work is country influenced, they have some pop songs and they can really rock out as well. They had the same impact as this when singing for Paul Simon at another Polar Music Awards.
Hi guys, I've been following your reactions for the last few weeks as you discover the music of Led Zeppelin. I've been a LZ fan since around 1973 when I was 14 years old. I discovered First Aid Kit about 4 years ago and they have become my favorite modern artists (along with Mary Fahl). They are another band who have few, if any, bad songs. They are so different from Zeppelin, though. Their live performances are very faithful to their recorded music, probably because of the intricacy of their harmonies, where Led Zeppelin's live performances are an experience separate from their records. I don't think either is better, just different. Please react to more F.A.K. and keep up with the Zep. You guys are cool; I love the emotion you bring to your reactions. P.S. Greetings from Rhode Island, U.S.A.
First Aid kit are great ..Check out more of them Like the song Silverlining.. Fun fact ...The man sitting next to Emmylou is the King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustav
The man at her side is the Swedish king, the guy without sense of rhythm 😂 I wonder how it felt for her seeing two Swedish young girls from a whole different generation singing a song for her and on that a country song, a music style that is not Swedish at all. And I bet she was thinking about the day with Parker. She is really emotional
It is this song and then a ton of other covers people are guiding the reactors to. I really don't understand that. Their own music is so good that it stands by itself. They are also known for sounding just as good live as the studio versions. They have been trained by busking a lot by the way.

These sisters are kind of local of where i am from and we're so proud of them!
The Soderberg sisters are incredibly talented songwriters and musicians. Their harmonies are beautiful. Families make the sweetest harmonies.
such a perfect tribute to an icon, and a beautiful reaction as always guys
They did the same to Patti Smith and Paul Simon too. Amazing girls.
I assume the most bittersweet context to Emmylou hearing this perfomance live

This is a song that First Aid Kit wrote to honour their heroes in country music. So its not a cover☺️
The man with the gray back slick hair sitting next to Emmylou is the king of Sweden.
It's easy to see how proud he is, our king sitting next to E.

❤Love U 2! Music is Gods voice on earth. Greetings from Jonas Gothenburg .

They seem most influenced by the Bakersfield Sound, which is country at its roots but tinged with rock and in many ways the groundwork for Americana.
Check The lion`s roar from First Aid Kit for the beauty of music ❤❤❤

The man sitting next to Emily is the king of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf (the man with light grey hair)
yes weirdly bobbing his head. love it:D
Their cover of Kate Bush's Running Up That HIll is great.
Now you need to listen to some Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons songs, as well as Johnny and June Cash (who they are also referencing in this song).
The man at her side is the Swedish king, the guy without sense of rhythm 😂

Swedish king is sitting next to Emmy Lou.
You should check out some Emmylou Harris songs like " Beneath Still Waters " Wayfaring Stranger " " Two More Bottles of Wine " etc .
The "Stockholm's cold..." line is the only thing that betrays them as not being from the American South.
Bye the way The guy who sitting behind EmmyLou is the King of Sweden

This is their own song though. They wrote it to honour their heroes in country music.
