    Of course we respect those Hmong in Laos for the fact that they well represent the unity of the Laotian ppl. Unlike those Hmong-American and the Vang Pao fraction who disregard themselves to service the Laotian as a whole. They clearly forgotten where they came from. Today Hmong in the state only speak Hmong, but not Lao. How could we Lao ppl accept your ppl if you entitle to speak your own language that your own ppl don't rarely have a history among our country and ppl?

    Do you actually believe that the Hmong is a part of the Laotian greater community? They are actually isolated on there own by oppressing the Laotian people who has nothing to do with the war. The Hmong are fighting against all Laotian people including the one in the U.S. The Hmong has no idea where this may lead too next.

    Aren't we American too? What makes u have the right for our people to voice our opinion here? I know many Hmong-American are against us Lao-American. Every generation we sense that the Hmong-American are creating a wall against us. Which is why we rather turn our attention with other national & ethnic 4 our own development in the states & over in Laos in the near future. While u Hmong shelter yourself among your own ppl with no royal pride or service to the country that we once shelter your ppl.

    You also have to understand that Gen. Vang Pao didn't have any other choice but to flee during the end of the war. Let just say we Lost and if he stayed he would be executed like what is going on today with the remain force of Gen. Vang Pao ,or sadly if their are any remaining Choa Fa left in the jungles of Laos.

      Please get your grandpa to tell his story, get it on video. The story of the Hmong is not widely known and the wars in Laos remain disputed history. If the Hmong don't document themselves they will be at the mercy of American "academics" who have repeatedly disgraced themselves by constructing false histories full of lies of omission.

      ntxawg yaj Its unfortunate though as our generation are becoming Americanized and not enough of us are helping our own people. Majority of hmong people in Laos are finding ways to con the hmong Americans and even the Hmong Americans here are going back for all the wrong reasons. Exploiting young girls and what not and the Hmong Lao happily exploiting themselves along with it. I understand there's always going to be a change in modern society though. I just wish we all can do something bigger that will make a positive change to better our people as a whole.

    After Gen. Vangpao left Laos to Thailand, the exodus begun. It has been 30 years, but in the heart of many Hmong, it just like yesterday. They have endured so much pain and sorrow. Arduous lives and perilous journey. The Hmong are truly heroic, as they fought for indepedence and freedom to all ethnic groups.

    Yes. During the night when my parents were about to cross the Mekong River, one Hmong gentleman wanted my mom to throw my older brother into the river or kill him with a dose of opium, but my mother couldn't. It was a life and death situation. My parents tried crossing the river three times, First try, they didn't make it. Second time, they got arrested. Third time, they finally crossed. My parents would of die if they crossed the first and second because that what happened to their relatives.

  • @seize7days
    @seize7days 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Your point is: for the Hmong to save our ass, Vang Pao should join communism with Kaysone and Souphanouvong--then we would be fighting the Americans and Lao loyalists. Either way, our ass get kicked. I'll admit Hmong is a violent race. We fought the Chinese in China. And we had to fight the Secret War too. VP chose America. We were close to winning, but in a war, it can go any direction. We lost. We didn't get slaughtered like the Cham or other Kmer groups BECAUSE we fight back. Be proud.

  • @seize7days
    @seize7days 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Coming here, anyone can become Americans. Anyone can rise up to lead better lives.
    I think Lao people lost some identity culturally when Laos lost its king and royal family. But with over 3-4 million ethnic Lao people, you don't have to worry about your people becoming like the Cham. Your government is run by Lao people so you shouldn't worry. I don't like what the communist government did to Laos but maybe they will change. Once it changes like in China, then it will be better for all.

  • @seize7days
    @seize7days 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    With communism Hmong are safe, but Hmong are already too pro-western in 1950s. We were with France and then America. Vang Pao had no choice but be with America. 1-We lost because the Lao people are too weak (they betray us like this Sengto Lau). 2-Hmong are 400,000 against 20,000,000 North Vietnamese, we cannot win with that number. I think Vang Pao did good, because we Hmong are known world wide. America did not abandon us. They took us America and now we are Americans. I think that is good.

  • @seize7days
    @seize7days 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't talk to me like you are in Laos, from Laos. We are in Ameerica so talk like we are in America. In America, we don't need to learn Lao or speak Lao. In America your people don't have to accept my people, Stop thinking like we want your acceptance. We could careless what you think. In America you do what you want. In America, we don't want to associate with you because we can go out with whites, blacks, hispanics, russians, etc.

  • @seize7days
    @seize7days 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    You don't see Hmong as your own people, you are absolutely right. We have more ties to the Chinese than to your Lao people. Our culture, our names, our religion are all similar to the Chinese. Where as you Lao are similar to Bremese, Thais, Cambodians. I agree with you there buddy.
    Did you not just agreed that communist Lao-Hmong can live in peace with Lao people in Laos?? You said you respected them, so don't say that Laos is small for twp ppl. Only hate Hmong Americans, okay.

  • @seize7days
    @seize7days 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    You are ethnic Lao so if Communist Laos take you back then go join them. Go be with your Lao people. Hmong Americans will never go to Laos again, we are Americans now.
    The Lao King, our king, was who Vang Pao's Hmong (Hmong American) are loyal to. Since your communist brothers killed the king in a prison, Hmong Americans have no loyalty to communist Laos now. Hmong American's unity to Laos is dead when communist killed the King. Only his faction respect us, not you and the communist.

  • @seize7days
    @seize7days 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't talk like a commie. You sympathize with the communist Lao right?. Hmong Americans want nothing to do with communist Laos because they treat us as the enemy. We no longer need Laos, we are Americans now.
    But as for the communist Hmong in Laos, they are in all sphere of Lao civil society right now. There are Hmong generals in the LPDR and police. There are Hmong ministers and even Mayor of Vientaine capital is Sombath Yialyher, a Hmong. They get along with Lao people in Laos now.

  • @seize7days
    @seize7days 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's because you were born in America. The white Lao, the Loyalist, are friends with the Hmong. Together we fought communism aggression. But then again, even this non-communist Royal army element only fight the communist half heartily. It was the Hmong that put a dogged fight against the commies Viet and Lao.
    When Vang Pao was alive, he always spoke in Lao during New Years celebrations, and he is always with other Loyalist Lao generals at those celebrations. You don't go so you don't know.

  • @seize7days
    @seize7days 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The loyalist Lao came to America with Vang Pao's Hmong, we were allies and friends then. But now this younger Lao American generation are turning against Hmong Americans. They say Hmong are the only enemy of Laos. They don't acknowledge to have fought in the war on our side. And because they are ethnic Lao and Laos accepts them back, they are brothers again. Whereas, Hmong Americans don't have that choice, we are the scapegoat and blamed for everything. I'm happy Laos is doing good now.

  • @seize7days
    @seize7days 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I guess you're not very educated historically. You know the Hmong by watching Air America movie, that explains your ignorance of all ethnic of people in Laos. You're in no position to debate history due to your own admission that you're clueless about the Hmong. You must live a very sheltered or privileged life. The Hmong were recent emigrants to Laos, yes, but over 200yrs ago. We're highlanders, don't practice buddhism. We even have more in common with the Chinese. Hence our differences.

    @NinXio only cuz we're forced to be from the moment we come out of the womb. what if there was no america, and when people were born they were just "one" with everyone instead of labeled as a specific race, culture, religion, after all we are one, except for some damn reason, certain people just deserve to be rich because they can, the most greediest and racist people control where all my and your money goes in the end. you wanna ask me if i know we are americans? well yes, we are. but its sad.

    Your grand father didn't bring my family here or anybody else's. He only brought his top soldiers. One of those top soldier was my great uncle. His family came to U.S. before mines. My family had to pay through with money we had from the French and Hmong war. Plus your grandfather killed one of my grandfather for "betraying". He was killed on a road coming from the farm. Is this your grandfather's way of saying he loves his people

    Of course I'm Hmong. Story for personal account doesn't change historical political agenda, Let just say that I'm will aware of the historical aspect of the war and the current government of Laos and Vietnam. If you do know more please tell me why do you have a grudge against Vang Pao when he only did what was Necessary for the Hmong, You have to understand that part of Laos wasn't even Laos during the communist took over. You have to look at the political aspect of The NVA motives.

    Susan Certeza you do realized that majority of the Hmong had no choice during those tuff time, as Majority was already fighting the Vietnamese before the actual support of the US, You have to understand that we didn't have a choice but was only to be Assimilated with the current ruler of that time. Have you heard the quote either you joined us or your against us while little girl that what the NVA intention was. Would you preferred to live under communist rule which hinder our customs belief ?

    Hey sengto, a mutual person won't name calling. Again like I said, whether you like it or not, you can't do a thing about it. The good thing is to move on. Hmong is living happily in laos. If you have issues with Hmong American say to Hmong American not just against whole hmong. Cause you will just stir the fire ok. And for FYI: Hmong American don't care about Laos anymore. USA is the country of the great. It is our country and our home now, we live happily and pride what we have.

    You spend too much times worry about Hmong American. You can call China and Vietnam your friends no one care. But I like to point it out if Laos is not benefit for the Viet. and the Chin. own good they are not going to give a darn thing about Laos. Look Laos Governments allow the Viet. and the Chin. to come to took all the golds and minerals stuffs and if you still see that is right than good for you and Laos. amen.

    You have too much high hope for your own people fought. I haven't heard Vang Pao speak Lao or that served the old Lao Royals. He does not serve Laotian as a whole. He only served his own ppl and the usage of the Lao Royals and his status among the Lao Army. Without the Lao Royal. He would never been a General or that a leader for you Hmong. Also he wouldn't be worship like saint among your people today. sadly

GVP is right, hmoob hlub hmoob cause if you think about it who will? who will carry on our last names, our traidtional events, ect... Think about it before you or someone else start saying stupid stuff that is just going to make you dumb to the bone!!

    Well I'm not sure about him tricking Hmongs to join the CIA. Itwas either join one side or the other at that point.There were in fact alot of Hmong traders who sold out to the Vietcongs and that costs thousands ofHmong lives so it wasthe right wayto go about things. War is very difficult andit must be black and white as possible (although ironically it never is). The main issue I have for VP is his opium dealings and collecting cash from elders who believe in him and going back to laos to fight.

    @alexvang you say that the Americans are the greedy ones. you yourself are just another hmong meekah kid who probably doesn't respect what it was that our grandfathers did to get us here. my grandfathers on both my mom and my dads side fought with vang pao. and i will forever be grateful that i also born hmong meekah. because i respect those who died for us to get our freedom. rip gen. vang pao, xay chai hang, and bla xang kue. because of the three of you, was born free and hmong.

    seeing all these videos piss me off at how the US just left so many of us to suffer and die over there to this day. although i'm born here and a citizen and love my country (the US), i still know and won't forget what my parents and grandparents went through to get me to be here today. i appreciate the sacrifices they made for me, for us, all hmong. and it pisses me off even more when hmong-american spoiled brats who don't appreciate all that and even forget who they really are... no honor!!!

    The term "Hmong" is pronounced, "Shimon" in the Hebrew language. Hmong is a Lost Tribe of Israel, descendent of Simeon, one of 12 sons of Jacob, son of Abraham. Originally, Hmong is from Israel, not Mongolia nor China. If you look at it closely, the Jewish s original term for God is, "Yeshua" (Ya-shua) & in our language is, "Yawm Sauj" (Yer-shou). Two syllables, monotone dialect. Please read the Bible to find out more ..

    Lao people don't want to contaminate our ppl with the Hmong for the fact that Hmong aren't capable with our civil society and our tiny country nationalism under our ppl. For a very long time. We Lao ppl fought a war to have a country for our people. You Hmong just threaten our lively hood as Lao ppl and our ancient brother and sister that fought over this Laos land.

    You are mistaken. He's not crying for the Hmong people. He's crying for all his dirty little secrets & abandonment's he committed back then. It haunts him to this very day. Why do you think he preaches Hmong love Hmong every freaking year? He thinks by doing so it will make up for his deceptions, greed & cia plots. Fail.

    @InsearchofHmong Whoever you are, please don't bring any religious stuff here. I TOTALLY DO NOT agree with you. PERIOD. I'm not trying to hate. I live with two Hmong Christians, and I'm glad they don't talk like you do. I love them because they respect me for what I believe in. What ever you believe in, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF!
