My family was hesitant to watch IdolPH. But they subscribed to TFC anyway. As soon as they started watching the show, they became so hooked with James Reid. They realized how deep of an artist James Reid is.

I watched Dimash and Vitas version. Tama si James. He almost hit the notes, not in a sarcastic way but in a positive way. Sana pinakinggan nila yung original para maappreciate nila yung ginawa niya.

I’m quite surprised to know james’ knowledge on international music is wide. Anyways, opera 2 is a beautiful song. He should’ve sang it with background music, could’ve made his performance 10x better. Singing acapella is always very risky, even for professional singers because it’s too raw and exposes each and every note you let out.

Kudos to James for knowing Opera 2. Di ko alam kung saan ako nasorpresa, na alam ni james yung kanta o na hindi alam ni regine yung kanta. Vitas is a great singer. I really love his song 7th element.

Vitas was the original😁, Dimash is the class A😅, nagmukha tuloy tayong pirated😂✌️
His start was a clean one... it's just that the judges doesn't know the song. In his high notes, he didn't hit the notes that well(but the control was there). He also lacks vibrato in the high parts of the song. It seems that he is heavily influenced by Dimash, not Vitas. He can have a bright future if given a chance. He should have bought a minus one of the Opera#2 . He also lacks proper singing techniques and style(to be able to sing that song, it requires you to merge the contemporary and the theatrical style of singing). If I were to rate him over ten, I would give him 5.5 to 6👍 he has such a wide range and I personally like his low notes.

You can see in this video How deep of a person/ an artist is James Reid. I don’t get why some people question his spot as a judge in IdolPH.My whole family here and abroad watches this show mainly bec. of him.
Wengskie Lorenzo we all seconded! It’s just because of James Reid that we’re all watching Idol here abroad. In my own opinion, they’re questioning his sit on the Idol coz they can’t still accept the fact that despite of James being new in the music industry he became one of the judge of a prestigious franchise singing competition and as a newbie in judging he’s a revelation- INDEED!

sa totoo lng isa siya sa mga judges na nagbibigay ng magandang comment. totoo yong mga comment niya, alam niya. strict siya, pag ayaw niya, ayaw niya tlga. hindi siya nadadala sa mga paawa effect.
unlike others, sa sobrang lambot ng puso kahit di masyadong naimpress sa perf/boses nagYES nlng. syempre kung ako nman ang judge jan bka wala akong mareject kasi maawa ako sa effort ng nag-audition. pero as a judge dapat maging strict. wag magpadala sa paawa effect.

Vitas is the original, Dimash himself admitted to being inspired by Vitas. Check out Vitas singing Opera #2 and Ave Maria. It's like angels came down to sing.

Dimash is influenced by Vitas. Dimash just changed the notes much more higher than Vitas' original version.

Well for me hindi lang talaga dapat kasi ginagawa to in an acapella prod kasi this song is like an elemental/fantasy song magmumukhang adik lang talaga ang kakanta nito without it's instrumental music on the background, para sakin maganda kalalabasan nang audition nya kung may sound para malaman talaga kung magffit talaga sya dun sa music na yun kasi he started it well and beautiful.
