I've got this it's the shit especially for it's size. Powerful with good bass for all-in-one. Great voice clarity and detail. Must be one of the very best small all-in-one sound bars around. Also one of the complaints about the previous model s60a was lack of bass. I've seen a review from someone who swapped the A to the 2022 B model. And they mention how the bass is better.
@@TellyDan Yeah 450 for an all-in-one isn't cheap either it's on the more expensive side so it should be good. You can of course get a fair number of soundbars with subs for less than that. Samsung have clearly tried to make the best smaller all-in-one they can. To rival Sonos mainly and I think with this model they've managed it.
One thing they got right: External PSU! Yeah I know it's not a favorite with everyone. For me no deal. Just hide it. But it has one huge advantage: When the PSU dies in 2-4 years time just fine another one capable of driving the bar and solder its connector on that and it's working flawlessly for years again. Switchmode PSUs just dies too quickly these days (most likely combined with a bit of planned obsolescence)
So i have a samsung tv q70a compatible with qsimphony (no atmos compatible). If i buy this bar and connect it with the q70a tv all the speakers of the bar works even if it wont be used with atmos?

I have this but have had mixed thoughts. It has good volume but it sometimes just doesn’t turn back on with the TV (connected through eARC). It also doesn’t seem to snap out of Game mode when it changes from Switch back to some other app (Switch is direct HDMI into the soundbar). Wondering if firmware might help with the issue.

I have just bought (but not installed) this soundbar - it came as a freebie with a new 2022 Samsung - The Frame. We have a 2019 Samsung The Frame and we plan to hook this new Soundbar up with this 2019 The Frame in our bedroom (as we have dedicated 5.2.1 Surround Sound system in our lounge for the new Tv) As we have the 2019 The Frame - I understand that we cannot use the Q-Symphony set-up as this only started to be compatible with The Frame 2020 Tv's onwards- is this correct? - has there been any software updates for the 2019 Tv's!? If so, then I will probably only set this up via Wi-fi, rather then run a HDMI ARC lead - what am i missing out on if i connect via Wi-fi to the 2019 The Frame? Can you still get the Dolby Atmos sound as stated?
Yes, you can add a subwoofer and rear speakers for that cinema sound. I have this sounbar and it's pretty good. However I feel it needs a subwoofer atleast to really enjoy it. So I ordered the subwoofer and rear speakers online for it. Just waiting for it to be shipped and can't wait to get it. IF you decide to get a subwoofer or rear speakers just be careful which one's you purchase because they don't all sync/work with this particular sounbar. I paid $249.99 for the rear speakers on sale and $499 for the subwoofer ( CAD dollar ) I should have waited for the subwoofer to go on sale as well but I couldn't wait. I can't wait to get everything setup. Will update once I do but yeah just my personal opinion that it will sound better with atleast a subwoofer. Hopefully this helps and this particular soundbar doesn't have EARC which sucks. My new Samsung TV has an earc port so definitely disappointed this soundbar doesn't.

I looked it up on Google and all the results I got were from USA, Canada and the UK. It's weird since I can buy the SWA-W500 from last year, but I can't find the 510. Maybe it just shipped in North America and the UK and will be and will be available for the rest of the world a bit later? Who knows... I bought a new Samsung S95B and the store gave this sound bar for free, so I'm waiting for both. The Q700B is much better. I paid $377 on sale. Good deal. Larger sub that sounds fuller- both the bar and the bass. In the specs, the 700 does a lot more. Biggest thing is it DOES support eARC so if you have a source with that, the bit rate will be far better (sound.) The Bose 900 did sound a bit better than the 700 but was twice the price. It's sub it weak however- the bar alone however still sounded incredible. Was going for $699.
Unfortunatelly, I bought this soundbar and I regret it deeply. It has just worked for 20 minutes. After that, I don't know what happened, it has disconnected from tv and it never turned on again. I just have white lights blinking left-right-left. During the 20 minutes it has worked, I noticed the sound was not at the level this bar costs, but ok. Anyway, I have a nice brick now, a bit expensive for a brick.
Thanks for the upload. Quick question though. Do you know how to check whether the S60B is outputting Dolby Atmos as there is no LED indicator or preset sound mode? The SmartThings app also doesn’t indicate Dolby Atmos.
That white light is hard to see as is let alone see it blink 3x. But appreciate the response! At least for Netflix, you can clearly select a Dolby Atmos audio option if available. I’m guessing for listening audio only it would be more difficult to tell.
@@asiaticgodborn I think TV also gives you a clue about sound output, so just like image (when I select image mode with Netflix content, the HDR label appear for each Dynamic, Standard, Movie... modes) you'll see it appearing when watching such Dolby Atmos content.
How old is your LG TV? It works with more than just a Samsung tv, have you gone into your Bluetooth on your tv settings and pair your sounbar with your tv? That could be the issue, especially on an older tv set. Hopefully this helps.

I just ordered this sounbar with a new Samsung 65 " QLED Q80 TV. My question is this, will this soundbar sit on my 16" width TV stand with my new TV? My new TV has the middle support instead of legs on each side. Just hoping this soundbar will fit infront of it as I don't want to purchase another TV stand. Cheers

Great soundbar in my personal opinion. It gets pretty loud and I only turned it up half way, can't imagine full volume. Love it for how compact it is, weighs only 10 pounds.
@@are_meerchannel6181, Hi 👋 In actual honesty I didn't find this soundbar put out enough Bass on it's own. Not atleast for me anyway since I enjoy bass when watching movies or listening to music. I gave it about 3 weeks on it's own with just this soundbar and wasn't blown away. So ended up purchasing a separate Samsung subwoofer and let me tell you that made all the difference. The bass now with the add on subwoofer blew me away, just awesome sound now. I also ended up purchasing the rear speakers as well for true surround sound effects when watching movies. This soundbar is obviously better than just using your TV speakers, like a lot better. However there wasn't enough bass for my liking solely in this soundbar. It wasn't awful by any means but just not enough for my liking. My personal opinion is if you can't afford to add the subwoofer but want way better sound than this little soundbar is definitely worth it. If you can afford to get the subwoofer then it's definitely worth the extra money. Especially for movies and music whether just on your TV or using the tap feature. I tap my cell phone to this soundbar to continue playing a TH-cam video or Spotify and it's way better than just my cell phone speakers forsure. Unfortunately when I purchased this Soundbar it wasn't on sale at the time. Payed $499 CAD dollars and the subwoofer alone cost me another $499 but absolutely worth the price. The rear speakers I managed to get for $249.99 so all in $1249.99 plus tax but absolutely worth it, especially the subwoofer add on. I cranked it fairly loud the other day and the walls and floors were just bouncing, lol. I live in a Condo and had the neighbour's below me complaining because of the bass thumping. I can't imagine what it would sound like full blast. If you don't want to spend another $500 on the subwoofer right now then I would imagine they will drop on Black Friday or possibly sooner. Worth the cost to add on to this soundbar forsure! Super easy to setup as well, I just plugged the subwoofer it in to the wall outlet. Then turned off the sounbar and waited a few minutes and powered it back on. Then both were paired together and ready to go within 5 minutes, super easy. There aren't honesty a lot of things that I would spend a lot of money on. However a good new model TV , soundbar, subwoofer and rear speakers are something I wouldn't cheap out on at all. The model of subwoofer that works with this soundbar is the Samsung SWA-W510/ ZC. Hopefully this helps with your decision. If you have any other questions let me know. I would recommend this soundbar but the only negative is No earc, not a huge deal but would have been nice. Especially at the price point.
We connected this soundbar to our projector and every time we press the sound mode or the settings button there is this extremely loud voice that reads out the options. It is horrifying and we have no idea how to turn it off! Please someone help us! We turned everything off from the accessibility menu on the projector, we have tried everything!
I just got this and tried to hook it up Q symphony to my Sammy TV. Well it does Q symp easily. But if you do that the TV does not allow EQ to be used. Just flat sounding. So I disabled the Q symphony feature and just use the soundbar alone therefore able to use my own EQ settings. It sounds TERRIFIC and enough bass without a subwoofer. You don't need a subwoofer unless you are watching a movie like those god awful Transformers movies where and explosion happens every other minute. The music coming from the speaker is so clear and detailed. I highly recommend unless you need a booming subwoofer.

We ordered this sounbar online and was told it had earc when in reality it doesn't ( we're pissed they gave us wrong info) Our new 2022 Samsung tv has an earc hookup but like you mentioned this sounbar ONLY has HDMi arc only unfortunately. Its not a bad sounbar but I would have preferred earc on this model. We're just going to keep it because we ordered a subwoofer and rear speakers hoping the sound is better than what just this soundbar produces. We will eventually just use this setup on one of our other large screen Tv's and order the Samsung soundbar that has earc. If you're interested in a model that has earc check out the Samsung soundbar model HW-B650 430 Hopefully this helps and sorry again.
@@SURFERGRL72RAKM Don't worry dude! It has misleading info in several webs. But I got some info and investigated. Especially from the Samsung web, you can see it supports only the Dolby Atmos version of Dolby Digital Plus, therefore HDMI ARC is enough (modern TVs can pass it through it). It's a 5.0 and as you said, the soundbar alone is not enough for a complete home cinema experience, although I do live in an apartment. So a minimalist design and not too loud bass is appreciated. @@jairon_2518 , You're very welcome 🙏 I try and help when possible because I've been there before. Desperately seeking information on products and nobody replies or when they do it's too late. I also agree it's great for an apartment and it definitely sounds better than just the TV audio. We were just expecting more considering we paid $500 CAD for it plus tax and shipping. I personally feel it's worth maybe $350 at most but just my personal opinion. It obviously has sone great perks like tap in order to play Spotify on it as well as Q -symphony and because its a New model it will be around for some time. We ended up paying another $749 + for a subwoofer and rear speakers to go with it. So all in all it's over $1250 for the setup (too much in my opinion) Other soundbars are fairly comparable, have earc and atleast come with not just the soundbar but the subwoofer as well. Not to mention they are also cheaper. Was hoping we would be able to use Alexa on the soundbar as well. However because we're in Canada it's not supported as much as it is in the USA. When I set it up I was able to ask Alexa the weather and so forth and it was a great feature added i thought. We asked Alexa to change the volume, channels and bring up the guide but unfortunately it's not supported here. Changed to Bixby and sure enough we can do all of the above and more. So we basically paid a premium for a product that is best suited to the USA only. These things should be made crystal clear before purchasing but they don't seem to care. Our new TV is pretty awesome though, model QN65Q80BAFXZC so that makes up for the lack of the soundbar. Its not that we're not happy with the soundbar but feel cheated in a way if that makes sense. @@cthomas6008, I got Alexa to work with telling me the weather etc but as far as the major ones like volume up/down, change channels and bring up the guide it doesn't work. Changed our tv back to Bixby and can do all of the above and more. Alexa isn't supported as much here in Canada or other countries as it is in the US. Definitely feel like we overpaid for this soundbar but just my personal opinion.

I tap my cell phone to this soundbar to continue playing a TH-cam video or Spotify and it's way better than just my cell phone speakers forsure. Unfortunately when I purchased this Soundbar it wasn't on sale at the time. Payed $499 CAD dollars and the subwoofer alone cost me another $499 but absolutely worth the price. The rear speakers I managed to get for $249.99 so all in $1249.99 plus tax but absolutely worth it, especially the subwoofer add on. I cranked it fairly loud the other day and the walls and floors were just bouncing, lol. I live in a Condo and had the neighbour's below me complaining because of the bass thumping. I can't imagine what it would sound like full blast. If you don't want to spend another $500 on the subwoofer right now then I would imagine they will drop on Black Friday or possibly sooner. Worth the cost to add on to this soundbar forsure! Super easy to setup as well, I just plugged the subwoofer it in to the wall outlet. Then turned off the sounbar and waited a few minutes and powered it back on. Then both were paired together and ready to go within 5 minutes, super easy. There aren't honesty a lot of things that I would spend a lot of money on. However a good new model TV , soundbar, subwoofer and rear speakers are something I wouldn't cheap out on at all. The model of subwoofer that works with this soundbar is the Samsung SWA-W510/ ZC. Hopefully this helps with your decision. If you have any other questions let me know. I would recommend this soundbar but the only negative is No earc, not a huge deal but would have been nice. Especially at the price point.

We connected this soundbar to our projector and every time we press the sound mode or the settings button there is this extremely loud voice that reads out the options. It is horrifying and we have no idea how to turn it off! Please someone help us! We turned everything off from the accessibility menu on the projector, we have tried everything!
It's an horrendous thing lots of brands are doing. They insert guiding voices that are extremely annoying.

I just got this and tried to hook it up Q symphony to my Sammy TV. Well it does Q symp easily. But if you do that the TV does not allow EQ to be used. Just flat sounding. So I disabled the Q symphony feature and just use the soundbar alone therefore able to use my own EQ settings. It sounds TERRIFIC and enough bass without a subwoofer. You don't need a subwoofer unless you are watching a movie like those god awful Transformers movies where and explosion happens every other minute.
The music coming from the speaker is so clear and detailed. I highly recommend unless you need a booming subwoofer.

We ordered this sounbar online and was told it had earc when in reality it doesn't ( we're pissed they gave us wrong info) Our new 2022 Samsung tv has an earc hookup but like you mentioned this sounbar ONLY has HDMi arc only unfortunately. Its not a bad sounbar but I would have preferred earc on this model. We're just going to keep it because we ordered a subwoofer and rear speakers hoping the sound is better than what just this soundbar produces. We will eventually just use this setup on one of our other large screen Tv's and order the Samsung soundbar that has earc.
If you're interested in a model that has earc check out the Samsung soundbar model HW-B650 430 Hopefully this helps and sorry again.
@@SURFERGRL72RAKM Don't worry dude! It has misleading info in several webs. But I got some info and investigated. Especially from the Samsung web, you can see it supports only the Dolby Atmos version of Dolby Digital Plus, therefore HDMI ARC is enough (modern TVs can pass it through it). It's a 5.0 and as you said, the soundbar alone is not enough for a complete home cinema experience, although I do live in an apartment. So a minimalist design and not too loud bass is appreciated. Expanding them by other speakers is a great alternative too.

I also agree it's great for an apartment and it definitely sounds better than just the TV audio. We were just expecting more considering we paid $500 CAD for it plus tax and shipping. I personally feel it's worth maybe $350 at most but just my personal opinion. It obviously has sone great perks like tap in order to play Spotify on it as well as Q -symphony and because its a New model it will be around for some time. We ended up paying another $749 + for a subwoofer and rear speakers to go with it. So all in all it's over $1250 for the setup (too much in my opinion) Other soundbars are fairly comparable, have earc and atleast come with not just the soundbar but the subwoofer as well. Not to mention they are also cheaper. Was hoping we would be able to use Alexa on the soundbar as well. However because we're in Canada it's not supported as much as it is in the USA. When I set it up I was able to ask Alexa the weather and so forth and it was a great feature added i thought. We asked Alexa to change the volume, channels and bring up the guide but unfortunately it's not supported here. Changed to Bixby and sure enough we can do all of the above and more. So we basically paid a premium for a product that is best suited to the USA only. These things should be made crystal clear before purchasing but they don't seem to care. Our new TV is pretty awesome though, model QN65Q80BAFXZC so that makes up for the lack of the soundbar. Its not that we're not happy with the soundbar but feel cheated in a way if that makes sense. @@cthomas6008, I got Alexa to work with telling me the weather etc but as far as the major ones like volume up/down, change channels and bring up the guide it doesn't work. Changed our tv back to Bixby and can do all of the above and more. Alexa isn't supported as much here in Canada or other countries as it is in the US. Definitely feel like we overpaid for this soundbar but just my personal opinion.
