    In other words just use Scarlett Witch body and painted white no need to body swap

      Thats essentially what the Puck series Emma Frost was for her modern look. For the Hell Fire Club White Queen look you really need the corset from Typhoid Mary or White Rabbit

      I got it them from a local store in NZ but just did a quick Google Image search and found the Atlantic Media Wall Shelf range is the same/very similar. I have 2 side by side and getting a 3rd soon

    Hey, great work. On Emma Frost/White Queen, do you have to split the torso to get the arms on or can you simply just heat them, pull them off Scarlet Witch and pop them onto Emma?
    Also, what paint did you use the the flesh tone? Did you gave to paint the whole figure for consistency or did you just find a color that matched the plastic?

    • @chrisbob3007
      @chrisbob3007  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Na no need to crack the torso as the arms just pop in and out once you heat them. I only painted her thighs in a flesh tone as the existing flesh tones on the arms and torso are a pretty close match to the head. I used Citadel Kislev Flesh for her thighs but only because that's the one I happen to have but would recommend a lighter flesh tone as that is quite a bit darker than the rest of her.
      I'm still waiting to get a White Rabbit so I can get rid of the belt.
      Let me know how you get on

      @@chrisbob3007 Hey thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Going to give this a shot.
      White Rabbit uses a diaphragm joint and has no waist swivel. So I am not sure she will necessarily be a good donor figure. You may be better off dremeling/sanding down the belt?
      One last question: have you separated the torso on any of the female figures at the diaphragm joint? Is it a ball hinge that can be popped and swapped with heat??

      Damn i just watched a review for White Rabbit and see what you mean... and also didnt realize that the pocket watch is sculpted on too!
      But will still probably get her coz i was also going to use her coat for a custom Rogue im making so will see what I can do with it if anything.
      Yea the only female body that I have separated the abdomen from the torso is Scarlet Witch and it is similar to the arms in the sense that it pops out nice and easy once heated.
      Is this your first custom attempt or you made others?

      @@chrisbob3007 Not my first attempt as I have kitbashed a lot of Mattel DC figures/DC Direct. Marvel Legends I have barely done any but have painted some. I use acrylic paint and seal it with Mod Podge matte or gloss clear coat. Haven't done any spray painting or sculpting or anything like that, though. So this is well within my skill set. I have used a dremel for some peg joints. The hair dryer has become quite useful lol.
      It is more a willingness to spend a little extra for sacrificial donor figures and getting over the fear of wrecking your figure. Of course it all depends on how cheap the donor figures or project is. The scalpers are an epidemic with Legends but fortunately these figures are common in this case.
      My upcoming most ambitious Legends attempt will be removing Cyclops' jacket from the Love Triangle 3-pack. I like his more cartoon-y paint scheme opposed to the previous release. The jacketed arms look like they will require a lot of effort since his torso will need to be cracked. I am awaiting a Rock Python figure hoping that the blues will match and I can paint his forearms.

      @@tryksta7247 yea I need to learn how to paint properly using a seal to finish it off.
      Getting the extra figures for custom parts is so expensive so I always try to get ones that I can use for 2 or 3 different customs.
      Are you sure you need to crack open the cyclops? I thought all the newer Hasbro figures were popable? Dont quote me on that tho... I popped off Rogues jacket arms but not sure if the male figures are different... actually now that I think about it I did try popping off Deadpools shoulders one time and couldn't get them off

    been waiting for that white rabbit to come out just for emma. its to bad the dang watch is sculpted in. dang it Hasbro!! hopefully it can be taken off easily.

    • @chrisbob3007

      I feel ya man, I've been doing the same and just seen the watch is sculpted on. They probably did that so that you couldn't make your own so they can release one (hopefully soon) I'm sure the earlier prototypes had a loose watch. I was gonna remake white queen with white rabbit and turn my existing one into a diamond form regenesis emma frost but wont be anymore... "sigh"

    • @bcfowler82
      @bcfowler82 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be nice if they would just release one all ready. I believe that the watch can be takin off relatively easily with a xacto knife and dremel. If not, I'll be using typhoid mary and painting her pants like you did. I also toyed around with putting the typhoid mary top on the lower torso of dagger and it doesn't look to bad so might toy around with that as well. Just need to paint the midriff skintone and swap the shoulders with skin tone arms, probably from Polaris because it matches pretty well. I think that could look really good and not a lot of painting to do. Also cut the harder thigh joints off and use white rabbits skin toned ones, there a softer one piece part that can easily be popped on and off the peg. I have all ready modified a typhoid mary so that either a skin toned or black poppable leg can be used on it. I'm using the legs off of a punk storm right now and I really like the results. That works for emma as well for a more casual look.

    • @chrisbob3007
      @chrisbob3007  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yea i wanted to use the legs too. I will still get white rabbit and see what is salvageable from it. Hopefully if they do release a white queen soon they will do all the hellfire club... im keen to do an army build with the hellfire goons, havnt had a chance to do an X-Men army build yet... i mean there was multiple man but didnt think it fit in having too many on him with the X-Factor team and the Sentinels are way too expensive to army build even tho that would be amazing, same with Brood Queen

    • @bcfowler82
      @bcfowler82 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be awesome. I'd love to have some sentinels. They are way to pricey. An alternative for me right now is the kree sentry with a custom sentinel head sculpt. It looks pretty good. I'm about to mod the left hand to take blaster and tentacle effects. That will work for now.
