Chris Coleman is the best imo. He plays different stuff every damn time. The other guys are amazing and legends like Tony royster and aaron but I have seen them play a lot of the same licks a lot of times. Nothing wrong with that but Chris has more tools in his bag than anyone. He can play and rip tracks but he can also play a freestyle drum solo forever and the stuff he comes up with on the fly is truely incredible. His solos showcase speed, power, dynamics, and musicality. His solos are truely musical if you ever seen his solos. Love all these drummers though.
All these guys are beasts, but Coleman’s combination of technique, speed, and power is terrifying. Those drums are begging for mercy. By the way, that clip of Moore didn’t do him justice.
Mr. Chris Coleman hands down for me out of these four despite all of them being good within their own styles. But Mr. Coleman's speed and sensitive touch plays the drums where they still sound like an instrument and not just "look, I can play the fastest). He really was blessed with this talent that would have left Mr. Buddy Rich aghast to the point of cursing him out.
Yeah, Something about Chris's playing every time ..Keeps you engaged whole time! his famous quote " Percision over Speed" coming through here put them together like he doe's and you've got GOLD'n notes !!
I love all 4 drummers but for me it has to be Chris Coleman, I use to love Tony but after finally watching more Chris Coleman I realized every time he plays he always has something unique and different. His foot game with the high hat is crazy. I do feel like Tony, Eric and Aaron use the same grooves all the time. Chris is the only one where I can’t spot a repetition in groove, he’s always changing his playing!! Again no hate I love all 4 but Chris has the edge.
When I began with drumming, chester thompson, vinny colayuta, dave weckle, steve gadd was my inspiration. All of them with their unique style. Then Tony royster, calvin rodgers, eric moore and Mr Chris Coleman!!!! I respect them all, but IMO.. Chris coleman isn't even human. That guy is in a whole different league
I've seen these individual videos in full and I can tell you they were all amazing. But for this performances Aaron spears was amazing. I mean watch the videos guys
Sorry for not replying on time bro Here Chris Coleman Go th-cam.com/play/RDRft8vFYTELs.html&feature=share&playnext=1 Zildjan live - Aaron Spears th-cam.com/video/XFIYIySQK7M/w-d-xo.html Eric Moore praise and worship th-cam.com/video/KKHRg7raa-k/w-d-xo.html Tony royster jr Gonna do me th-cam.com/video/wiUwe1k9HLo/w-d-xo.html
As a musician, I have had fun playing and I've watched others have fun while playing. But it seems as though no one has as much fun as drummers while playing.
A lot of musicians are arrogant. Try not to be naive. And don't care about that cause u can learn a lot if not more from your less favorite drummers like Eric Tony Aaron. It's probably more comfortable for your ego to like Coleman more since you're likely closer to his skill level of playing.
Machines! Everyone of these guys are incredible! As for everyone calling out one as better than the others? Check out more videos by Aaron and Eric and they are all pretty much on par with each other... The gospel drummers really spread there legs out like jazz drummers did 50 or 60 years ago. Max Roach, Philly Jo Jones, Chick Webb, Buddy Rich, Louie Bellson. You ask the 4 drummers in this video and they would all mention several jazz drummers I mentioned as influences. Ginger Baker and Mitch Mitchell were Jazz drummers who played outside the 2 and 4 back beats most of their peers played.
What I love about tony is his risking style to hit all those rim shots rather than buying a small snare next to the hi hat like other drummers. Amazing
In this case you just have to pick your favorite drummer cause they are all amazing! My fav is Coleman, but they all have their own style and all are crazy good drummers.
Chris Coleman is not human! I hope to be like him one day! Aaron you are my dude Bro, you quote and texture! Eric you are the Mr I will hurt you when you expect not! Tony you seem to do just anything your mind tells you with your hands, that's crazy as hell
Dudes not underrated. He's been known as a prodigy since he was a kid. He's played with some of the biggest artists in the world like Jay-z and Katy Perry and has also been on the cover of modern drummer several times.
Definitely not underrated dude is one of best to grab the sticks but I will say his presence on TH-cam could be more frequent, miss seeing new vids of him doing his thing.

Absolutely amazing drummers. I love all the textures and flavours they bring out in drumming... constantly raising the bar :-). Not sure why the title is gospel chops though? Nevertheless, it’s all good.
How do you rank 4 separate moments in time??? The answer is .... You don’t!!! Respectfully!!! I think it’s safe to say they all have inspired us to push further and go beyond our own set limitations!
Chris Coleman is the most versatile of all three. Tony is very technical but hes not chris. Chris always brings an African implication vibe to his drumming.
coleman namm videos from 2011 and 2012 or the meinl drum solo video changed my mind on coleman. his playing is most diverse and unique and seriously mind blowing.

Yes! Totally agreed.
All these guys are beasts, but Coleman’s combination of technique, speed, and power is terrifying. Those drums are begging for mercy. By the way, that clip of Moore didn’t do him justice.
Chris Coleman and Tony Royster Jr, totally a different level.
Coleman is far better.
That's right if you think the same way I think!
Chris Coleman is a beast.

Great drummers that motivate us to play even more🔥💯
This is truly an all star lineup
Yeah, Something about Chris's playing every time ..Keeps you engaged whole time! his famous quote " Percision over Speed" coming through here put them together like he doe's and you've got GOLD'n notes !!
After hearing that, I feel the spirit
All the guys I grew up on. Wow
Out of all Eric Moore's amazing videos you chose a simple gospel one. Doesn't make him any justice
I’d have to say the same thing. Eric Moore has better videos than this that has chops that are a lot crazier than the ones he did in this video.
Eric Moore numero 1
Eita pegaaaa toop lembra-se bateras unidos jamais serão vencidos 🥁👍 mister
Coleman is the best

As a musician, I have had fun playing and I've watched others have fun while playing. But it seems as though no one has as much fun as drummers while playing.
I only came for Chris Coleman the rest are good but he is the greatest out of all his attitude is super humble and that goes long way
I always think Tony and Aaron is the best
A lot of musicians are arrogant. Try not to be naive. And don't care about that cause u can learn a lot if not more from your less favorite drummers like Eric Tony Aaron. It's probably more comfortable for your ego to like Coleman more since you're likely closer to his skill level of playing.
Have you met them to know they’re not humble?
Aaron and Eric are amazing players, Tony is arrogant, Chris is a god
Machines! Everyone of these guys are incredible! As for everyone calling out one as better than the others? How do you rank 4 separate moments in time??? The answer is .... You don’t!!! Respectfully!!! I think it’s safe to say they all have inspired us to push further and go beyond our own set limitations!
5 star quality, we´re talking drum royalty ...
How you have a GOSPEL DRUMMER VIDEO without CALVIN RODGERS is perplexing but OK. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤔😳🙄
Johnnie James thank you
Totally agreed!
Dude how do you guys do it. How do you move lightning fast like that and when youre doing it what rudiments are you using to make that happen?
Larnell Lewis the best gopel drummer for me.
You don't know much.
He might actually be the only good drummer in this genre you call gopel😂😂 jk yeah he’s awesome
Definitely

Gerard's Place facts!
They are all good in their way of playing
If I'm correct, Eric Moore is a gigantic fan of Chris Coleman
coleman namm videos from 2011 and 2012 or the meinl drum solo video changed my mind on coleman. his playing is most diverse and unique and seriously mind blowing.
