New Years resolutions do not work. The goal is not to lose weight. The goal needs to be I desire to get healthy. If you eat healthy and make the necessary lifestyle changes the weight will follow. Secondly, we must decide I am committed to eating healthy for the rest of our life. After being diagnosed with an “incurable disease” I woke up to the reality I needed to get healthy and take responsibility for my health. I have been on a healthy eating plan for ten years as of now. Have since dropped seven prescription drugs I was told I would be on for life and lost 40 pounds. This can be done although it will require commitment and consistency. If you stick with it long enough it will become your new normal and become relatively easy.
