Sheer nostalgia... British Rail blue and blue-grey trains, Cortinas, Corsairs, Anglias, Capris, Imps...

I walking past a side door at Victoria Station in 1976 or 77, I looked in as it was half open. There was Bernard Cribbins putting on a pair of trousers. He froze when our eyes met, but no words were spoken, and I went on my way. I read later he was doing some filming for the Night Ferry.

In the days when Battersea and Clapham were about as working-class as they come before all the yuppies moved in during the late 1980s.

I used to walk over that footbridge when I was a kid to get to Battersea Park School (formerly Battersea County school) from 1985 to 1990. Great to see how it used to look again and I remember the building on the corner where the man stops and puts down his case was a newsagents during my secondary school years. #fondmemories 🙂

Those were the days! We could actually be trusted to open and close our own carriage doors, Public conveniences were...convenient, life was simpler...

FYI Clapham Junction is in Battersea SW 11 and not Clapham! Nice scenes!

I'm sure I saw this as a kid, they used to show this kind of stuff on Saturday mornings at my local cinema and this looks really familiar. Jesus I'm old.
