Thanks, Seth! Like I mentioned in the live chat, the coolest things are sometimes in the details of seeing you improvise, so thanks again for going overtime and showing us more!
Around 1:13:02, what kind of attachment is that on the stand that is extending out the mini softbox? And is it something you can use with a regular lightstand? Or only with a C-stand?
Thanks, excellent segment! Learning so much from both you and Daniel. Just picked up Profoto B2s... will add A1X for Fuji when it comes out. Hopefully, it will be out soon.
Just watched this video, no idea how I missed it. Excellent as always Seth. Question for you, I shoot events, weddings, etc., and use Nikon cameras, am I better off with Nikon flashes from a reliability perspective or will third-party flashes, like Godox be good enough? Thanks
with the last photo with the 3 lights in the back of Cassy what would you do to eliminate any view of the people holding the lights so you only had the flash?
Thanks, Seth. Side question on traveling with your equipment. How do you deal with TSA in keeping the locks on your equipment bags/cases? Unless you're able to carry all the A1's/A1X's in your carry on, you have to put hem in checked baggage, correct? I've tried using the TSA approved locks and they still used a bolt cutter to remove the lock for inspection rather than their access key. So I've always limited the equipment in my checked baggage to my tripod and laptop charger with cables. Have you had good luck with pre-inspection? Thanks in advance for your time and response.
Seth are any tips on getting the download software (MAC) recognize my A1 for the new C3 firmware update? Trying to get it to work via on screen instructions but no luck. “Holding the rightmost button and test button for 1 sec”. This ain’t working. Let us know and thanks in advance
Thank you for another great demo. You have done shutter drag so many times before but people keep clamoring for more. You must really be the undisputed 'drag king'. Wait, something does not sound right. On a serious note, I am only an amateur and getting a profoto is an impossible dream for me. However, it makes me think of getting a Godox V1. I wonder if I am the only one.
You're not. I've been researching for the past 2 years all the brands and configurations regarding lights. You can buy 5 godox v1's for the price of one profoto A1X. I used them and they are super-reliable. I also got myself a Godox AD600Pro last month (that's 600 wattseconds, has ttl, has hss) for 800 euros. That's less that a single of these guy's profoto :)) But they do look gorgeous, I have to admit (the profotos, I mean)
Did Casey not want credited? Did you post her info anywhere? Nice work. Definitely a Profoto advertisement. But good info throughout. The shutter started to close before the Rear sync completed. Could have been the camera, Also could be the flash transmitter sending the wrong info out.
Hi Seth, great demo as always. However I see a cross shadow on her left cheek from the on camera flash. So it looks like being that close without much diffusion on the on camera flash, I think minus 2 stops looked best the shadow seems very mild almost not noticeable.as you bring the power up on the camera flash it's looking kind of unnatural. Almost a bit too specular on her right cheek. I know arm chair quarterback. :)
this is why i am shooting Sony HVL-F60RM 10 flashes per sec and consistent correct color and temp which is not consistent with godox, nissie or other options for sony will test with profoto now they have triggers for sony, i don't see benefits if using a round head if using softbox

What bracket are you using to mount it in the soft box?
Still wondering the same!

Any answer to this?

Such a flexible setup. Seth thank you again for the details...……..
while shutter drag,, both lights have fired at the end of exposure or else only right side one only?
with the last photo with the 3 lights in the back of Cassy what would you do to eliminate any view of the people holding the lights so you only had the flash?
Great video; can you tell me what speedring and Profoto soft box you are using please?
Seth, please let me know the accessories you used to mount the soft box on your stand. Thank you! John Peterka
Nice demo. Thanks!

He has all of his lights in his carry on. He's gone over that on either here or his personal YT channel

Can we see it up close?
The flash device?
What lens was Seth using?
Great stuff...
The Profoto looks very usable and flexive to use in aq small package congratulations Seth and God bless.
$1000
Another great video. Especially using an on camera A1 for a fill light.
It seems like since he A1 cost lest than the A1X you could buy the A1 and an A1X battery for backup... Great show Seth….
Great Stuff

Be careful dropping the A1, mine fell out of the hot shoe, a $500 repair!!!
BREATHE BROTHA BREATHE and do some shutter drags.
