Though I have different views on jesses than are shown in his book. If you go through my falconry video play list here, I have a video I did on how I make kestrel jesses. Feel free to reach out to me on Facebook and I can answer any more questions you have to the best of my ability. Kestrels are so much fun. But they are delicate. And you have to be religious about their weight control.

If landing is new habits that is experienced sometimes it could be sick or gaining weight specially Gyr/peregrine few grams may largely effecting his interest in flying then its the call for the day skip the dinner and go home
This was the hardest part for me as an apprentice....that concept of ignoring this landing behavior!

It is effective? When i fly my bird it always perch on electrical wire or land in the ground it is possible for your bird to remove this bad habit??
