I love how Hao du is really the first hand audience and witness of how Changge is changing and doing all these things, despite him always on her tail trying to kill her. I think seeing Changge go through all these things plants a seed in his heart for it to melt later with Leyan, and for his own thoughts, judgement and wisdom to develop. It all works synergistically with Leyan scolding/love and Shu-yu's helpful scolding later on.
I love Leyan so much. I know some people think she is silly. But she will grow up. Everyone here will grow up, even for Changge. And I dont even understand why some people want to see changge and leyan become enemy? Leyan and Changge are good sisters. And girls help girls. I hate sisters fighting.

He's so sweet and good to her. Love him so much. He also demonstrates how well he knows her. Instead of coddling her, which might make things worse with her sense of worth and confidence since she has hit rock-bottom, he's giving her some space to build her own confidence herself because he's aware of how capable she actually is. Reminds me of the time he helped her with the rebel uncle and the general who wanted the seal. Sun asked Adou if he believed in his master, and even though Sun was trailing them and helping Changge when necessary, he believed at the time that she was smart enough and capable of eventually getting herself out of that situation. Sun is the perfect balance for Changge, knowing when to pull back and when to push her. I just hope that as their relationship builds, she can become that kind of a person for him too.
What I notice from Ashile Sun, even though he tried to be hard on Changge he still treat her lightly with no hard force even the way he touched her face, you can see how he didn't do it with strength. He know her well, live her some pride and time to think about her life.

Hao Du: "Li Changge, even I feel sorry for you." Hao Du might not be my favorite character in this series, but I like his sarcasm here, lol. 14:52: Hao Du might not be a likeable character. But between him and Wei Zhuyu, Hao Du definitely had stronger mind. 15:08: nice move. That embroidery owner lady had sharp tongue but she was actually kind-hearted.
Ashile Sun is just purely amazing. He has been so gentleman and so kind all this time. From the moment he realised that 'he' was a 'she' and sensed that she didn't want to admit that, he has been giving her the space that she asked for, never taking advantage of her. He has been nothing but encouraging to her. He'd rather make himself look evil and treated her/called her a slave only to make her feel like her ego was crushed and that she has to live to avenge. He is just amazing. I don't think at this stage he (realises) has any romantic feeling for her. He's just purely a nice guy who wants his friend to live.

Changge is not the type of girl who needs coddling anyhow. She just needs a little reality check when things go south(which he gave her with his speech) and then she's good because she's sensible, reasonable, and smart enough to put the pieces together.

Finally I understand why Ashile Sun made her as slave. He actually wanted to save her. But regardless how strong she was, she was raised as Tang princess therefore she couldn't bear the humiliation being a slave to the "barbarian" Ashile tribe.

Hao Du might not be my favorite character in this series, but I like his sarcasm here, lol.

Ashile Sun is just purely amazing. He has been so gentleman and so kind all this time. From the moment he realised that 'he' was a 'she' and sensed that she didn't want to admit that, he has been giving her the space that she asked for, never taking advantage of her. He has been nothing but encouraging to her. He'd rather make himself look evil and treated her/called her a slave only to make her feel like her ego was crushed and that she has to live to avenge. He is just amazing. I don't think at this stage he (realises) has any romantic feeling for her. He's just purely a nice guy who wants his friend to live.
46:19 He so hot and cold🥵🥶😂His mood changed so quickly when Changge refused to eat the food he offered. It was sweet of him to, but he can't blame her feeling so hopeless & therefore not having an appetite.😭
It's clear he understands her and isn't blaming her, but he still has to get her to survive. As he says, it's easy to die. It's struggling to live on that is hardest. Changge is not the type of girl who needs coddling anyhow. She just needs a little reality check when things go south(which he gave her with his speech) and then she's good because she's sensible, reasonable, and smart enough to put the pieces together.
He protect her and make her feel comfortable in where she is and advise her to keep stronger.

It's really sad to see changge alone again. It's like she's back from where she started: alone, hurt and nowhere else to go.
Sun provoke Changge and even let her hate him just to make her survive and the look in his eyes when Changge try to kill herself is just showing how much he loves her already.
Sun and Munji just like husband and wife, the wife so talkative and husband just take it easy and saying 1 line 😄
