When she said she wants her champagne to have "structure and depth" she was talking about their Pinot Noir, which the film also depicted here prominently. Today, champagnes of Veuve Clicquot are still Pinot Noir-dominated.
I came across a bottle of Veuve Clicquot at work a few years ago and thought it was a dark name for a champagne. Lol! I looked into it and read about her story and was very impressed. I'm delighted that a movie was made of her story!
Just finished watching and I’m a little disappointed. I wish the movie was in French or at least some french words here and there. Almost no French culture was portrayed IMO. Very little was mentioned about her innovative techniques that are still used in the champagne world today. Big house with lots of staff & no interaction with them. Nice story and scenery but I wsh there was a little more

maybes she's also talking about her life
Even though I speak English I want this to be in French for some reason....
I’m glad it’s in English, I hate movies that’s in a different language when this is America, we speak English here.

It's a true story about a woman who runs a vineyard and makes wine after losing husband under all odds n derest
Haileyyy
Shouldn't the movie be in French? makes no sense to have filmed in English.
Are you sure this isn't television? The sun never shone through a window, making it more dreary and boring.
It's a widow that defys all odds to run a wine vineyard on her own as ppl try to go to judge to take away it
