I dont know whether this is just me, but i feel that We Are Young makes me more emotion over Dont Stop Believing because we are young is showing that we are young, and we are invincible, and in this moment, we should spend it with our friends, messing around, and waiting for the sun to rise. This is the song that brought them together, to make them realize how much they missed each other. RIP Corey. And dont worry, because while you lived you set the world on fire and burned brighter the sun. :)
People get emotional because of Don't Stop Believing not because of the message of the song. It's the emotion that was attached with each performance. The first time in season 1 was their first number as a group. Those people would change the glee club and each others lives forever and even in seeing the series for the first time, watching that performance you knew these people had a lot ahead of them. The second time in season 4 was Rachel auditioning for Funny Girl. The emotion is in seeing the alumni in this performance and for those that have seen it before or know what happens, it's Finn's last number. The last time in season 5 was pretty obvious. The glee club was ending and the whole gang joined together to perform one last anthem. Everybody prepares a video for Will's child and the audience is already crying by the time Rachel walks out doing Finn's part of the song. Sorry for this being so long, really did not anticipate this lol.
It's sad, becauseCory was an exceptional person but he made a mistake and now he is remembered for that ONE mistake. It's just so unfair. Let's remember him for all of his good actions, not because he died for an overdose.

The coroner wrote that Monteith had experienced intermittent periods of drug abuse and abstinence throughout his life, and that "after a period of cessation from opioid drug use, a previously tolerated drug concentration level may become toxic and fatal." Monteith's body was cremated in Vancouver on July 17, following a private viewing by his immediate family and girlfriend, Lea Michele.
