Fun! I agree that frames can help the page look less daunting! I do like the hardback versions though, but when I’ve finished maybe I’ll get this version!
Thank you Wendy. Glad you like the books! Copic markers are good and I think they can be refilled which I love, but they are expensive. I have been using Ohuhu markers which I have enjoyed. You can purchase packs from Amazon which seems to be the most cost effective way to buy them. I bought the 60 pack and there is a good range of colours... but of course now I want more. 😂
I enjoy the duplicates with a difference and we are fortunate here in Oz to have Amazon print paper that is workable. Wishing you continued success (in spite of the AI stuff 😑) Regards, Jackie
Thanks for kind words! So, at the moment the options for al the books are : 1) the paperback books have duplicates with a difference and are printed on Amazon KDP paper which changes depending on location from 50-61 pound (74-90 GSM), 2) the hardcovers are not Amazon printed, have one set of illustrations and are 70lb (105gsm), 3) and we have PDF downloadable packs from the online shop: store.rjhampson.com And we will keep adding different paper options as they become available, we are always looking for that magic combination of quality, affordability and global distribution.
Thank you for the slower flip through, the old ones were impossible for me to see. Just to be clear has this been out for a while? I thought I had purchased the new version but it was at least a month ago.... or is there yet another update?I 100% prefer these new versions, I don't care to color the same thing twice but these are different enough that it makes it fun to color the second set of pages.
Hi, The hardcovers are printed on 70 pound (105gsm) Paper and the paperbacks are printed by Amazon on 50-61 pound (74-90 GSM) depending on location. So the hardcovers have thicker paper than the paperbacks.
I like that you change the duplicates, but I guess if I'm honest I'd prefer one set of images for half the price! Especially now the books have gone up to £10+ Love your artwork though, wish you'd get picked up by a publisher like Kerby or Rita Berman so we could benefit from better paper for your artworks. Keep up the fight against AI art!
Thanks for getting in touch! Yes, I had no idea before I started, but the duplicates have passionate fans - both for and against 😂 . Unfortunately, the way KDP have structured their print costs, half the images doesn't mean half the price. And that people want different things is why the hardcovers have only the one set of illustrations, so hopefully more options for more people! So, at the moment the options are : 1) the paperback books have duplicates with a difference and are printed on Amazon KDP paper which changes depending on location from 50-61 pound (74-90 GSM), 2) the hardcovers are not Amazon printed, have one set of illustrations and are 70lb (105gsm), 3) and we have PDF downloadable packs from the online shop: store.rjhampson.com And we will keep adding different paper options as they become available, we are always looking for that magic combination of quality, affordability and global distribution. I love your work and have all of your books…..one question….why do I not get these pages in my hardback version of the books? I was so disappointed that I didn’t get them in my books. Is there a particular reason why you don’t include them in the hardback version of your books?
Hi Shelly, Thanks so much for your kind words about my art. Sorry you were disappointed with the lack of duplicates! I didn't know it at the time I started, but the duplicates are contentious - People love them or hate them! So in response to the fans who really didn't want them, the hardcovers don't have them. Maybe I'll have to create paperback versions with and without, and hardcovers with and without?? Not that that's at all confusing?!
I really like that you add changes to your duplicate pages. It's a really fun idea.
Thank you! I have enjoyed doing them. Fun to hide little things on the pages. 😊
Hi RJ! I love that you did a flip through of this book! Long live Mr. Fogherty! He is my all time favorite frog!
Glad you enjoyed it Katy! He is my favourite frog 🐸💚

I just adore your books. I've been coloring for years with pencils. I think i want to try markers and your books! What markers are your favorites?

Thank you. Yes, this one has been out for a while but I realised that I hadn't done a flip on the Duplicates With A Difference version. Now I have 😊
@@rjhampson Oh good! Thank you for confirming.
Hello! Can you tell me if the hardcover books you can purchase through Amazon in the United States have thicker paper? Thank you
