Titus IS him. Not sure if the live action will follow Titus or another story - details are scarce. Titus is a relatively new character to the 40K universe... there are other, much loved characters that the fans have been screaming for for years. Only time will tell!
Feel like they gave Titus a whole new face design to fit Henry Cavill into that role easily especially even now since the episode blew up successfully.
@@SupremeNamelessOne It's a Psyker. He was kept in that box not that others are protected from him, but to his protection. If they didn't keep him in that stasis "coffin" he wouldn't even survive the Landing, because those drop pods are Astartes only. @@SupremeNamelessOne Because it's a mistake. As Merovinjian already mentioned Astropaths exclusively deal with warp navigation. Ultramarine Orbital Command Voice actor is credited as Mark Sheppard. I know the Actor well enough from Supernatural, he has a distinctive, easily recognizable voice. Yes i know voice actors being able to sound different, but not to this extreme, it's literally a entirely different voice.
The ending has a meaning within the lore of warhammer 40k, there is a saying in the human empire "Duty ends only in death" so when the Sgt at the end says their duty is done he means they are going to die. Titus refuses as he is not dead yet going to face the hordes of cultists so he and the Sgt will live on and rejoin their brothers on the ship.
First psychic victim, feared he was weak without his armor, so his armor crushed him. Second was skipped over for pacing. Third feared what Titus would become without fear, and that fear manifested as a chaos traitor Titus. And fourth was Titus, we all get that one. ^^
As for why Titus is him, the Emperor himself said it: ''They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them, and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines AND THEY SHALL KNOW NO FEAR.'' ~The Emperor of Mankind, on the Creation of the Space Marines Basically Titus is exactly what the Emperor was aiming for in his Space Marines
Just to get an idea of the size of the marines - the blade that lil' Titus was dragging along in the rain is the same one (or at least the same design) as the combat knife he used to kill the sorcerer.

“What could a soul like that be capable of” was the best line to end the episode.
