These two never had the chance to be happy. Every time you put them together something happens to tear them apart. Meredith and Derek always tried to protect Lexie from Mark not realizing that she was the best thing for him. He just wanted to be loved and she loved him for him. She was the only one who didn't treat him like a man sex toy. He was brilliant and smooth and charming he had flaws of course but he was a good guy. Sometimes good people do bad things and he was one of them.
The reason they were never together for a long time was because they really never fought for each other. I love and adore Slexie but it constantly annoyed me how they could never talk things out...or just gave up on each other. Derek and Meredith came together because they fought for each other. I wish Mark and Lexie had more guts. This is just my opinion anyways.
@@thisnigerianlovessuya Well I wouldn't say they didn't fight for one another, it was more of a timing issue with them is that after their first big break up, when one of them decided to reveal their feelings, the other one was trying to move on with someone else and was too scared about getting hurt again. Plus from the very first series til their proper commitment to one another, it took Meredith and Derek four seasons to finally get it together for real as they were on and off so much until Meredith came to the place where she face up to her deep feelings for Derek. Lexie had also come to accept how much she love Mark and I'd like to think that if Chyler and Eric hadn't left their roles at that particular time, then Slexie would have been reunited for good.

i literally cry every time i see them because i realized they die and broke my heart since they were like my favorite couple. them and derek/meredith were like perfect 😍
I am just gonna say when this two died that was when the show started falling apart and then when Cristina leaves I though I had lost all the good people of Grey's and then Derek's death I mean- I still watch it and I like it but is never going to be the same show as it was with them. My opinion :/
I’ve stopped after the 12 season, because Meredith has gotten mad annoying and it’s literally so sad because all my favourite characters are either written off or dead like Lexie, mark, izzie, christina, George. Also Shonda is an egoistic idiot who ruined the show, she should’ve just ended the show instead of stretching it. I MISS THEM. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. 😌
@@meredithmoriarty3323 not really, I have to disagree with you on that. jo had alex, and alex had jo. they loved each other through the troubles and chaos, and alex chose his life to be like that forever when he married her. so for alex to just leave her for his ex-wife and their kids is horrible, he could have went to kansas with jo for visits. he never had to abandon jo. he also could have payed child support, there were options.

She changed him jo came when he was in a better place in his life it was izzie that went through with him and Alex did the same with izzie and in my opinion if I have to choose between jo and izz I will always chose izzie because she’s one of the best characters on greys and the most human and realistic.
In my opinion LEXIE is being selfish, if she truly loves Mark she would accept Sloan and her baby. When I met my husband 15 years ago I had 4 grandchildren (I was 47 and he was 35). At first he wasn't too sure about being a grandpa, but its grown on him. Fifteen years later we're still together and it doesn't bother him that he has 5 grandchildren now. When you truly love a person you learn to accept things in your life.

Izzie didn’t die. Alex found her and they now raise twins together and are both surgeons in Cansas. It was a really nice ending for them actually 🤗
