Another good review, refreshingly without the silly jokiness in some other reviews.
Tom is always honest and is clear about his own preferences, which may not align with some people but which I do agree with re comfort and refined ride as opposed to wringing the extra seconds acceleration out of it.
I like the Elroq, I think it will be one of those cars that quietly flies under the radar but is a very very good car. I'm a Volvo driver but would have this over the EX30 any day!

Couldn't agree more. Very informative and useful. Do I really want to know how many water bottles the door cubby holds? With or without 'frunk'/'froot' is missing but you wouldn't base a decision on that, surely!

@chriswillson5052 RIGHT! SUCH great information such as 1:06 the "the 85 uses a 77kWh battery" and at 1:37 "it's also got the 85kWh battery... its actually only 82". And families surely need to know more about acceleration and steering feel, more than stowage. He's LITERALLY one of the worst reviewers on this channel. Original commenter, 3:36 yeah his ears being big in high school isn't that silly. In the DC video he makes marital spouse conflict joke about the infotainment screen in 2024 😂😂like it's the 70s, and using the large charging flap as cover yourself when charging in the rain, erm, how about just getting in your car. God he's insufferable. You must be family or friends 😂

I like it. I am planning to downsize when the lease on my current car runs out and this is one of the potential replacements. Ideally with the smaller wheels and longer range. I’m glad to see real buttons back. I hope they have a volume knob as well! Good review from Tom as well as well! It’s nice to see a man my age thinking about what most men my age want out of a car! I.e. a practical comfortable vehicle that gets you from A to B.

Another great review from Tom. So refreshing without daft "jokes" or moaning about a trivial detail. the Elorq appears to be on the same wheelbase as the Enyaq but with shorter overhangs. Interior lifted straight from the Enyaq. I agree with Tom on the power, it doesn't need 286bhp. A lower power big battery version might be ideal?

    • @SuperPatrick71

    • @alangravy27

@SuperPatrick71 I don't disagree. I do think people who can't charge at home might find a larger battery easier to manage and a big battery might help people who are more nervous about making the switch.

Informative review, but there is a mistake - or something weird. To summarise the info from 0:58 to 1:20,
the Elroq 85 has a 77kwh battery giving 360 miles of range,
the Elroq 60 has a 59kWh battery giving 258 miles of range,
the Elroq 50 has a 52kWh battery giving 260 miles of range.

Why bother watching a video on a channel called --- checks notes --- Electrifying if you have no interest in an EV?

Give it four wheel drive and a two hundred hp diesel engine and it would be a great car!

No, it would be 30cm longer with less space inside, since the ICE would need this in the front.
It is only 4.48m due to the EV Platform, has 9,3m turning circle (like a micro car), a wheel base like a Passat and a larger trunk than the new Audi A5 Avant (Elroq 470/1580L to A5 448/1396L)!!!
Only this pure EV Platform makes this perfect packaging possible.
