I’ve used anger on occasion to scrub floors. It’s an energy…a powerful one. Anger is best used to get something done! It’s fuel for change….whereas depression rarely gets off the couch….
My go-to is dishes and power walks when I'm pissed!
I “get medieval” on dirty grout myself.
I guess it's just timing that this arises. A young woman I have greatly admired for turning her life and marriage around after the fact has discovered she has diabetes. This hits hard since she is a chef at a local restaurant. My daughter, who works there part-time, feels bad for her, but is having a hard time under the shrapnel of her anger. Still, if she gave in to depression, she'd probably just curl up and give up.
@@helenpatterson3858 I learned from an acupuncturist that to move depression, get angry…I’ve thought of this in terms of the body parts involved. The lungs, breathing is involved with depression…low energy…lethargy. The liver, is called the energy governor…It’s what give the juice for flight or FIGHT…Part of living in these bodies is learning how to channel these energies. We’ve all got anger, but that doesn’t mean that we express it as violence. “We shall over come.” That one line says a lot. Maybe someday humanity will move beyond WAR…
@@deepost2604 depression can arise from stress too, weakened or deficient kidney/adrenal meridian. I figured out anger, liver and alcoholism together =cirrosis. And violence comes from violate, to have one's rights violated can cause anger. We have a lot of work to do to correct parenting practices and understanding of how to raise a healthy, happy child. So much abuse.

I like you lost my dad through suicide. I am 58. I had to reach out for his soul visited me not even 24 hours after he did this. I was 9 days married and 21. The pain never truely goes away but it heals. His soul showed me his pain but also left me with a message - a gift- we are here only temporarily - we never truely die x
I have experienced a drunk, violent husband, who disrespected me and i left.
My dad was the opposite kind and wise and funny.
