Thank you so so much for this video. I have been pulling my hair out trying to make the difficult decision on a pool. You have cleared up so much of my confusion. Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to make your videos and especially for sharing your knowledge. I'm in the process of learning everything I can before making a purchase so your videos are very helpful. Obviously, you have a passion for this business and I appreciate anyone who's passionate about what they do. It says you care and that is something I want from a vendor. I've pretty much decided to contact you to install my pool ( I live in MA) once I've decided which kind is best and fits my budget. Thanks again!
Excellent review, I learned quite a bit and you cleared up some confusion for me regarding the extreme differences in prices and why its probably worth paying a little more
Hello and so grateful I ran into your video and your list of reviews!!! :)). My husband has talked of us gett A pool for years and now getting super serious about it…I told him we should sell our house and move if we really are going with a pool, an inground pool that is!! Here’s the thing we have a beautiful, gorgeous back yard that is approximately 3/4th acre but it tears downward and continues down into a beautiful wooded area until you reach a beautiful creek! There are a few retaining walls, like ,5 circle retaining walls…anyway by the time we cleared the 25 huge trees that would have to come down and build a retaining wall for an inground pool, we would be into at least 40,000 then have a 100,000. Pool installed to me is insane…we should just move if we have to have a pool, right? We are not rich and that pool would be huge deal for us and that makes me nervous!! So seeing all this about above ground pools being that dependable and last 30 yrs, you’ve made this not just a dream but way more doable!!!!! We are in Northern KY and wondering if you could by chance recommend someone in my area to call about planning????? Not many people around here have above ground pools so I never realized just how beautiful you can make them look w/ decking and all the other things that make a pool a comfy cozy oasis to chill, have fun, play and party setting!!! Now I’m getting excited!! Reality for me now so THANK YOU again!!! Please help if able?
Hey, great video - I've found both your website and your videos amazingly helpful. I wish there was someone local to me in WA that was like you!! Question for you, do the optimum panel wall, Oasis panel, and the Aquasport52 walls sway at all when in use? I believe the rolled wall pools do sway a bit when in use and I'm trying to avoid it so we can get that nice solid feeling when the kids are in there playing. Thank you!
Such Great Information, I really appreciate the time and effort you and your team has put into all of your content! I've been researching above ground pools for a few days and I'm definitely seriously considering the Aquasport 52: 17x32x52!
Thank you for the excellent video! Content was SUPER helpful. You obviously have a ton of knowledge and experience with these pools. Showing the thickness of the materials was eye opening to say the least. I am still doing my research but have found this video and your information to be the most beneficial.
Very useful information, and well done video. I'm no expert by any means, but I have a question/comment. I owned a better quality Doughboy pool years ago and it was solid built. until we had the deck/ walkway built I could actually walk on the top rail. We sold the home after owning the pool maybe 6 or 7 years and no problem. A relative had about the same Doughboy, maybe a different model, and he had his above ground pool for 35:years. Now he had several liners replaced in that time, but about a year ago it collapsed, but that is 35: years later. So, Doughboy above ground pools seem very solid to me. Also, we never totally drained our pools, only dropping the water level down below the skimmer opening. What is your view of Doughboy pools, and in the same price range, which is the best ? Thank you
High end doughboy pools are very good. I used to be a doughboy dealer. I don’t know their prices Any more. Palm shore, Saratoga, and Tuscany had good walls like ours
I know pool manufacturing and deliveries have been greatly impacted, I want to order a pool from you (Aquasport 52 12 x20) soon and was wondering if the manufacturer has put a time frame on a pool order by next month. Thanks in advance and also thanks for the informative videos.
Hi Mike Appreciate the video. I live in Central Cali where it's gonna be 108° tomorrow...whew! Anyway, how much would it cost to deliver the Aquasport 52 round pool out my way and do you have a dealership out here? Maybe I can open one if you don't? Jk. Thanks
So I saw on your blog that you don't really care for sharkline or Atlantic. I'm debating an atlantic aluminum pool but now im unsure because I know some are steel and I'm wondering what you think about the atlantic aluminum pool?
so if i get an intex pool 18x48 i still have to get a wall or a fence ? i’m very confuse about this situation and i want to get a pool i understand safety fist and i have a toddler what do i do?
hmmm..... just saw a video where an aluminum pool corroded from intex salt system. Not sure about these above ground pools. For the money and if you take care of them, i believe intex wins for me. If it gets thin or gets holes you just throw a new liner over top of it.
Salt is corrosive to metal which is why it voids our warranty. That being said, intex is a great deal for the money. But salt systems just create chlorine (strong bleach), why not go with Oxygen pools system that's chlorine free?
I prefer to backfill after I fill the pool, but with the round pools, I don't see a problem with going in 30 inches and backfilling first as long as you don't compact the backfill until it is filled. Hope this answers your question
Cheap Canadian steel you kidding me. Don't think so. We have some of the best made above ground pools in the world made in Canada with Canadian steel and made to withstand our winters. How can you say cheap Canadian steel. Yes cheap steel from China.
Thank you so so much for this video. I have been pulling my hair out trying to make the difficult decision on a pool. You have cleared up so much of my confusion. Thank you
It’s a fucking pool calm down. It’s not like you’re asking for what wife I’m gonna marry Next.

Pretty much decided?? Why not, you are the man?!!! 😊
I really appreciate your knowledge and all the time you took to explain the difference between pool materials and cost!
Thanks for commenting.

Fantastic video. Thank you. Hawaii is under served when it comes to these pools. Either cheap "Intex," or $100K in ground pools.

Hi.
Your comment was 9 months ago can I capitalize on ymthe research you've done and ask what you came up with?
Great personal and honest review. Very informative and to the point.
Really helpful even if i live in a different continent. Thank you

Great job Mike. Very informative. We are looking for a pool and its hard to find comments on Doughboy and shortfalls of the Intex pools. Thanks
Great video, Information was perfect! Thank you so much Mike!
Great job. I am hoping to put an above ground pool, in the ground on one side. Looks like I found my answer here. Thanks again.

VERY HELPFUL!! Wish you were here in St.Louis so I could buy from you!
Great video with a lot of helpful information! Thank you!
I like your honesty. If I were to order a pool from you and have it shipped to Florida, would you know who to recommend to properly install it?
I’m in the South Shore and where’s the webpage where you discuss pool brands and list the top ten best above ground pools? Thanks.
Extremely informative. Can you tell me the name of the one you beat with the mallet? I couldn't make out exactly what the name was or who makes it.
Aquasport 52

They are still behind roughly weeks as of today. The only people getting premium pools next year are ordering in the next month or two.
whats your take on kayak pools?
Can you give me some good name brands I live in WI so winter gets cold but tell me ones that are the best please in your mind
Hi Mike

Not familiar with it, but definitely better than steel especially in the rust belt
@@MGKPoolServiceLowell Thank you. Its a wilbar atlantic vista aluminum wall pool.

Do you service atkinson NH? Or can I buy off of you?
Impressive. Much appreciated.
I have an Auquasport 24 round. I am wondering what winter cover to buy for it??
I buy the solid covers with a 20 year warranty. They hold up the best. should have a 4 foot overlap in the description. Just hit up amazon.

Where can't I buy it?
Can I bury the Aquasport 52 24 ft. round without water in the pool? The pool goes 30 inch into the ground. Thank you. Frank

Yeah that steel wall isn't pushing in with 10,000 gallons of water behind it.

sorry us Canadians can afford a real pool. You say our steel is cheap, we only make what the poor Americans can afford.
