The beach u meantioned supposed to be MAWUN BEACH , i heard u said Muwan 😄 but yes its one of the most beautiful beach in Lombok! 2. As i see u travlled around Kuta Lombok area (now they called in Mandalika Lombok- to differ the name from the area in Bali) 3. The price of the tofu and everything in the restaurant is overprice , if u wanna try lomboks local foods, try visiting Mataram . U can get the tofu only like IDR.5,000- AND so many other foods worth to try 4. Try visiting Lomboks southern Gili island (Gili nanggu - Gili sudak - Gili Kedis) not so many ppl there and best place for snorkeling Love ur video 😊😊thanks for making video about Lombok!!

Doing sunset watching on Merese Hill (it's located around Tanjung Aan) 3. If u do surf, Selong Belanak Beach is a good place to surf. Or if u are an advance surfer, go to Gerupuk Beach 4. If u wanna chill and drinks, go to Siwa Cliff (it's the name of a lounge) very reasonable price with awesome view 5. What to eat? If u wanna try some local foods, try eating the street foods(usually they serve seafood) but be careful, most foreigner got something they call Bali Belly, if ur stomach not strong enough, better don't. But it's a romance in traveling hey? Trying something u never done with a bit of risk 😆😆

what the kids say is sort of poetry, but in a fun way :) .. basically they are rhyming and its commonly used back then for stages and what not..nowadays it is still used for traditional wedding ceremonial in Jakarta "I want a guitar, guitar from France.. I want a boyfriend, boyfriend who is romance" .. but they mention as Francis and Romantis at the end :D *p.s : glad you didn't see any ghost after going to the top there :p

Went to Mawun today.. looks beautiful but the trash is awful. Loads of plastic in the water and on the beach.. went to Tampa instead and it was so much cleaner and better for swimming

The recent earthquake has affected tourism there . Lombok needs our support. I do not want to see Lombok become like Bali inshAllah. It needs to stay true to its nature without over excessive tourism that could ruin the natural beauty of Lombok
Yeah lol I got some now! I went to some places but they never had my size, always too small. Weird because I don’t even have big feet either for a westerner anyway
People often compare it to Bali. I think it needs to stop and it’s certainly NOT better than Bali or worse. It’s an island on its own with different demographics and culture. People are incredible here in Lombok. The South is extremely dry without much vegetation and paves for some good beaches. North is beautiful much like UBUD offering plenty of nature. It’s nothing like Bali
She is the only one with a license, my license was tied to my USA visa which expired so my license also expired. You can still rent and drive in a lot of places without a licence but there are places where they ask for it when renting. And I guess now we are just used to it lol. It used to be me always driving in our early videos, now it’s always her lol

Since you’re basically just a beach junkie and not so much into what Bali has to offer, I very strongly suggest you go to Raja Ampat in West Papua or the Mentawai Islands in West Sumatra if you can afford them. Google them and look them up on TH-cam. They are truly one of the world’s last pristine beaches relatively unknown to the Western masses. Raja Ampat is considered to be the world’s best diving site.

I wouldn’t want to go there mainly because they are so pushy. Those kids are learning from their parents how to push selling stuff to tourist. That would annoy me if I’m trying to relax and enjoy the scenery and ppl keep bothering me trying to sell me stuff lol. I mean they even sit down on your table...ugh I would’ve told them “hit the road!” 😆

Bali is getting a bad rap but it's mainly due to TH-cam videos "the last secret place..." that has contributed to the rapid degradation of those beautiful places that weren't ready for the onslaught of GPS back packers followed by the Chinese tour trade. Culturally, Lombok island w very different place and I expect there will be significant blow back from conservative religious communities when hordes of tourists start exploring off the beaten path. After the earthquake some group sent care packages that were originally designated to be Christmas gifts for inner city kids in the US. The boxes with Teddy bears, coloring books, tooth paste and toothbrush were burned because they had Christian attributes. People visiting places other than Bali (regarded as the most tolerant place in Indonesia) need to be aware of the local culture and be careful not to offend local sensibilities. It's difficult for many Western people to understand but these people take their religion seriously and expect visitors to do so too. Don't get me wrong, they are good people and they need tourism as there isn't a lot of opportunities for other forms of income... definitely visit but just understand it's not Bali.
@@ily4as_lxq790 that's true. I visited Bali more than 50 times and I have Balinese family there. Bali is famous bcz of its life style. And now everything is about bule or foreigners and money. How locals treated local tourists? Horrible! I can't remember how many times they treated me like a prostitute just bcz I hang out with my foreigner friends even tho I don't dress up like them. This is pathetic.
