This Ex soldier is disgusted with this, my son is also serving in the RAF now as a fifth generation serviceman, what he tells me shocks me to be fair. Absolutely disgusting in 1939 to 1945 white pilots seemed to be doing okay along with all the other nations' creeds and colours so what has changed. DISGUSTING.

All jobs should be given to those with the best qualifications and/or experience. I really worry when I see jobs being given out to some as a box-ticking exercise, particularly in our Armed Forces. It won't end well.
Especially when their job is flying a hundred and ten million quid supersonic jet fighter aircraft. It's no use at all being proud of diversity when your five foot two female Asian pilot blacks out in a high G turn and crashes in flames.
To me those words sounded like a declaration of war!!!

The RAF has been led by idiots for awhile. My brother is a commercial airline pilot with many ex-RAF (both fast-jet and transport) work colleagues. They've told him the RAF is haemorrhaging pilots. The situation is so bad that late 2022? the RAF wrote to all the ones who had left begging them to come back. None of my brother's work colleagues did.
They also said the RAF is a basket case. Skilled ground crew leaving in droves, with shortages of weapons and spare parts for aircraft.

The best people for the right jobs, it's that simple! The last time that I looked this country was mainly white so naturally the most qualified people will come from that stock. Good luck to anyone else that QUALIFIES on merit and not just because they are a minority box ticker, which is in itself insulting too.
I have always been amazed why there have never been diversity quotas in blue collar jobs, why is there not a push to get more women street sweepers, window cleaners, miners, construction workers etc.

if female military pilots had natural ability that made them generally better than males in the role, it wouldn’t bother me one jot if 95% of RAF pilots were women.
I don’t know how it can still be argued that diversity is a strength, if time and again it causes the most able to be rejected. It’s indisputably and literally a weakness in that case.

It's just a simple fact that men have faster reaction times, are less easily distracted, and have more physical strength than women. That's why no woman could win against men in Formula 1 racing. The same applies for being a fighter pilot. If British pilots ever go up against the Russians, Iranians, Chinese or North Koreans, they're going to be fighting male pilots... nationalistic pilots native to their country, not immigrants either.
There are a lot of good female fighter pilots in the world. There just aren't a lot in the RAF due to the high standard and sheer mental workload placed on the pilot. There are a lot of chopped male pilots, who just haven't made the grade. This happens with women too.
Imagine being prepared to die for your country and finding out this is what it thinks of you.
These governments aren't worth fighting for.

I wouldn't support diversity drives for a job in a typing pool. I could make a joke about women drivers, but there really is only one qualification for pilots; merit. They are responsible for millions of pounds worth of flight equipment and the lives of themselves plus co-pilots and as white, straight and male as I am, I wouldn't go up in the big blue either.

Its well known that as soon as a real war starts alot of women in uniform suddenly get a bun in the oven and have to take extended leave. Its no like the armed forces are swimming in cash for recreational careers. Just choose the best person for the job.

Yoy know whats gonna happen if the RAF actually did this right? how many plane crashes do you think would happen in a year compared to before all this nonsense.
I worked with a woman who had applied for a job in a very male industry. She wasn't as qualified as many of the other applicants but was very confident the job was hers. The company was pushing for "diversity". Final interview day "well that was rubbish, 14 of us there for 1 job but there's another woman there that I didn't know had applied". Confidence was shattered. 1 week later the company hired the 2 women anyway.
I am seeing this in the UK civil service and the section I work in as a forester, where lower qualified and lesser experienced women are being recruited and promoted beyond many men, who are better qualified. I am sure there is a DIE drive behind it, though they won't admit it! That is why these 'leaked' emails from the RAF are so important for us to see.

Whenever I hear or read the phrase, 'white male' as a negative, I think sexist and racist.
Given that I often have RAF aircraft screaming over our home at roof height (it's an exercise area), I'd like to feel confident that the person doing the steering, at 1200mph, is in the driving seat because they are good at it and not purely because their skin colour put them to the front of the queue.
Look at the mess they made out of our Police Force. They are now trying to do the same here with the RAF and other institutions.

This happens in every public sector profession. Diversity is responsible for driving down standards - those that can't reach the standard required shouldn't be selected for jobs. Can't do 10 pull-ups? Train harder. Thick? Go to school - don't look for excuses and blame it on isms.
