Donald always has an "idgaf" vibe during interviews, so it doesn't surprise me that it rubs off on the rest of the cast. I think its because he focuses so much on the art and he just wants to give us the art and let us figure it out along the way without him saying anything. Sure it bugs us that we don't get to see the charismatic side of him, but i think we should just appreciate what we have, he gives us so much!
Dan Harmon is one of the creators of RIck and Morty and was the creator of the show Community which Donald Glover was apart of playing Troy. He left around the last few seasons and right around the time Rick and Morty was made. Morty actually appeared in the series finale of Community LMFAO
Hey is this like a snoop dogg thing where you're calling one of the cast members your son? Or did you just post a comment about how you love your actual son?
Donald’s character on this show perfectly depicts my life from 8-10th grade. I was the good guy with pure logic and reason. My friends at that time were hood and had a 100x’s more Street sense than me but we worked greatly together because it was a balance of both worlds. We learned a lot from one another about both paths most African Americans take....either dirty hustle or clean hustle you eventually learn to respect both fir what they are.
Holy Shit !! I would never imagine that Donald is a fan of "City Of God ". As a Brazilian guy I really appreciate you talking good about one of the movies that touched me the most throughout my teenage years. Thanks Bro.
They give off this vibe that says "we're a close group of friends, and you will never be invited in." It kind of sucks, cause they won't answer any questions or share much about themselves. I thought this interview would be funny and interesting but its just inside jokes and an awkward (seemingly uncomfortable) interviewer. Maybe they were all forced to be there..
So funny, I just found out Lakeith was from San Bernardino, Ca. (where I'm from) and now it all makes sense. His character in ATLANTA resonated with me SO MUCH and kept me rollin' just cuz his whole vibe was "san bernardino nigga" 😂😂
interviewer originally wasnt going to give him a handshake. he was just pointing at Gambino so gambino did that hesitation thing where you move your hand towards someone elses hand expecting a handshake but quickly realized it wasnt a handshake, so when the interviewer tried to correct Gambinos mistake he went for the handshake and Gambino doesnt like those awkward unnecessary handhakes
Is it me or was this interview kinda awkward at times? And what's up with the questions? Low key setting the cast up or something...or it's probably just me 😑
john doe The fist bump moment probably killed it for them. They stopped taking him seriously and saw him as just another naive white dude trying to be "down."
GoliathWarfare interviewers often do a lot worse than that. he's trying to break the ice, nothing wrong with that. it was only awkward because donald denied him for no real reason really. if you look at their body language they're all saying fuck off from the start. really the producers fucked up. their major mistake was the couch. they're sitting way too close to each other making it awkward and uncomfortable. that couch is way too small. individual futons would have made a world of a difference. i mean look at donald, he's literally begging to be off that couch.
john doe If you're a pasty white guy, the last thing you're gonna want to do to connect with a cast of black actors is ask for a fist bump. That can often feel like an insult, like being "urban" is the only way for you to pow wow with the black folks. He might as well have went "Wassup, my brothas!" It's an honest mistake for someone who probably doesn't interact with black people on a regular basis, but it might have preemptively ruined the interview for him, along with the factors you brought up.
they're being standoff-ish towards him. none of them are being charismatic in anyway, it's like they aren't trying to sell the show at all and are just there because the producer said so. it's hard for an interviewer when he or she isn't getting much enthusiasm from the cast when the cast is literally there to hype up the show.
john doe it's not the casts fault it's the interview such boring ass random questions that don't relate to the show and he can't converse well... Not the casts fault the questions are so awkward and dumb
I feel like the interviewer had no idea what the show or actors were about. The questions would be good for a generic attempt at plugging a bog-standard sitcom but Atlanta is bigger than that. These 4 are close friends and really dived deep into so many corners of the story to deliver something uniquely special. The push by the interviewer to go for these Ellen Degeneres style games and questions just felt so off. Like imagine writing and performing the genius that is Atlanta and then having to answer stupid questions like 'who is always late to set' and 'who is on their phone'.
Donald reminds me of that one dude in the squad who never really contributes to the fun but you just feel better when he's there
It's weird how unfun he is.
its his earth moon/rising lol
@@donnie9551 he’s playing a character moron just like with Troy
@@donnie9551 I’m gonna take a wild guess and assume you’re white.
Now that’s legit
The failed fist bump in the beginning is what derailed the whole interview.
sam lmfao donald felt strongly bout not fist bumping that dude
@@MojitoMatt I would feel the same tbh
@@Chillerll why he didn’t fist bump
@@tristanbellamy382 cuz if they were white this man would've never tried to fist bump them. weird. so they just clowned him. its litty.
bro donald so outta pocket lmao
Lakeith would be left handed
paper boi is so far from the actor portraying him. amazing
imagine that. an actor accurately portraying a character
HE IS!!! He has degrees from Morehouse and Yale.
@bruh FACT
They just dont care about the questions during the white boards😂
The fact that he mentioned "City of God"... I know he has a true vision....
Best movie of all time
brasil porra

When you enjoy being an artist, in whatever way, it's not actually your job/necessity to deal with media. You want people to enjoy your work that's it
Zazie is so beautiful.
she my wife
She really is. I think she's going to be a major start soon. At lease I hope so. She is so talented.
Met Ms. Beetz at Whole Foods on 125 St (Harlem, NY); she's pretty and was nice!
Donald really left the guy hanging at the beginning ouch haha poor dude
I am so fucking in love with this cast. Beautiful sense of humour

New person, same old mistakes*
yas rhianna killed it
Rihanna is weak as fuck. Tame Impala is the shit
Yea she fucked it up.
I knew this interview was going to be awkward as soon as Donald wouldn't give the guy props lol
Dan Harmon is one of the creators of RIck and Morty and was the creator of the show Community which Donald Glover was apart of playing Troy. He left around the last few seasons and right around the time Rick and Morty was made.
Morty actually appeared in the series finale of Community LMFAO
The interviewer seems like he didn't do a lot of research before the interview.
I got the vibe that the cast wasn't giving him anything to work with.
Akeem Masha not this guy
Yea I kinda get the feeling this interview was required by FX
So funny how the interviewer tries and fails to keep the game going as the crew completely disregards it 😂😂😂
love my son Keith
Hey is this like a snoop dogg thing where you're calling one of the cast members your son? Or did you just post a comment about how you love your actual son?
+Matt C his last name is Stanfield I believe so....
He has said that he "grew up very poor in a fractured family that was dysfunctional on both sides".
Damn, he looks just like you
moors the goat
I'm brazilian and knowing Donald Glover loves City of God" is such a pleasure to see brazilian content inspires someone like Donald Glover.
He mentions playing Joker and funnily enough 2 of of the 4 castmates star in Joker.
I like this show it's something different love how Donald only gets involved in unique projects
I love the way Donald snaps
They hummed the theme song to Doug.. Salute..🙌🏾 😁

its literally one of the most famous "international" movies.
City of God is a genius movie. Nice to hear that he likes it. I like Donald.

It’s on the interviewer. Seems like he didn’t even watch the show??
Omgggggggg Keith is left handed....I find him even more attractive now
I'm sorry they had to go through that. I loved their answers for everything lol. Thank you guys for being #Original

909 let’s go
Soon as I saw Childish Gambino denie that fist bump I automatically thought about COVID-19 😂😂😂
🤯
The cast singing Same Ol Mistake by Tame Impala!!!😆😆😆
yes he is really my son and he's absolutely right we grew up poor and broken family due to other family members
what's his number?
your son is by far one of the best actors in the game right now. I always enjoy his roles

Love these guys. They just don't want to be there haha
Ah man it'd be so cool if Dan Harmon got Donald Glover to guest star on Rick & Morty. Make it happen, Dan! Yall are friends already.
I like how the ad for this video is the first episode of Atlanta 🔥🔥🔥

Nah bro, you dont want to do that lol
I have never seen a cast LESS want to be interviewed.
The best show on tv!
audio too quiet, NEXT
Is it me or was this interview kinda awkward at times? And what's up with the questions? Low key setting the cast up or something...or it's probably just me 😑
The beginning is especially awkward, where Donald refuses to fist bump him. Like, why are you reaching for a fist bump to begin with?
donald and the cast are not being friendly at all.
john doe The fist bump moment probably killed it for them. They stopped taking him seriously and saw him as just another naive white dude trying to be "down."

Audio is really low, however I'm excited to watch it.
Donald glover like ur the best person
Wait....Paperboy and Vanessa are together?!!?!!
Leija Farr he sounds gay
Maybe they’re just really comfortable and close friends who are affectionate with each other?
Why does the host look like he tweaking or something
I know right
they're being standoff-ish towards him. none of them are being charismatic in anyway, it's like they aren't trying to sell the show at all and are just there because the producer said so. it's hard for an interviewer when he or she isn't getting much enthusiasm from the cast when the cast is literally there to hype up the show.

aww, Paperboi & Vanessa are together in real life that's so cute
I saw that as soon as the interview started

The cast don't seem very interested in promoting the show.
it's a new type of show. and I love it

No, because he'd be broke just like you.

I caught that too! Why the f would they take white board markers?
Lol lets get real im sure he doesnt think theyll steal it -__- the markers are like 5 dollars
They are all millionaires -______-
i didnt even thought of that as to why he would say that. Stop bringing up race into things. youre part of the problem
John Frank this was clearly a joke, people took it seriously, i didnt even remember this comment.
Some real sh-- some real stuff... lmao
City of God is the shit!
why is gambino walking like red fox in the beginning 😭😂🙌
@ 11:07 were they humming the theme song to the cartoon Doug??
I love Atlanta
Donald probably had pizza for lunch afterwards
I thought the thing Darius has for hats was just the character.
@Donalg Glover, Where have you been???
13:10 😂
TINY RICK!!!
he said Darius lol. I would guess he (Lakeith Stanfield) causes the breaks thru Darius
Lol paperboi holding van’s hand lol I seen dat
I resonate with Donald man. He's technically not cool but without him things like this don't exist which makes him the coolest.
Damn he is all up on her !
one of the vest shows out here today other than Luke cage
most AWKWARD interviewer EVER!
Questions not relevant to the show. Very understandable.
what was your motivation behind playing a "single" father living with his baby momma
The realness behind the struggle just to survive in a city that will put a bullet in you if you step wrong but also offers the world in it .
when we getting another Childish album
Everette Redd Early December. It has been announced.
"I vote for the Donald." 😏
