@7bup425 ik I'm late but there is a command "slomo [number]" that can change how fast does time flow
Advice for maturation+imprinting:
You want the imprint interval to be the inverse value of the maturation speed to ensure all tames can be 100% imprinted. For example if you have 5x maturation then you want 0.2 (aka 1/5) imprint interval.

Oh my god, I've been playing ark for around 2 months now, every time I've started a new world I've ended up messing up the settings and it has been either to hard or too easy and I usually end up going in god mode and just destroying everything. This is the most helpful ark video I've seen in a LONG time.
Also if anyone reply's to this, do these settings work for scorched earth

I’m mad late but I just started playing ark I was really interested in a survival game with dinosaurs the first 2 weeks I was playing I was playing with the base settings spending hours to tame a dino just to go adventure die and lose all the progress I’ve made these have helped me actually have fun and not get absolutely tilted when I die 😃

Idk of it's changed, but "egg lay interval" says "higher numbers mean less time between egg spawns"...

I just did a "small tribes" run with some friends, on Scorched. We got further than ive ever been. Had hundreds of cryoed tames, 20+ generations bred into many, some even paid real cash money for a rhyniognatha & some bees, hundreds of kibble in fridge, an awesome line of sharks i bred myself, tek floors throughout our "Crag Cave" base, thousands upon thousands of man-hours, traded poly for some really nice boss rexes, tappys, otters, ankys, tamed bassys & dolphins, quetzals, bears, rhinos, pt's, probably close to 75 wyverns raised between the 6 of us, tel turrets stuffed with element, heavys for days...& SO much more. THEN.... YESTERDAY....we logged on, & IT. WAS. JUST. ALL. GONE......... That's the 5th time in 4 months. The first 4 were pretty quick & not so bad. The last one... Yeah, I'm so done with it. Lets go single player!!

with the tamed dino stats woudnt making the health and damage 0.5 make it worse because its lower
Default is not 1.0 for that. I think it's 0.3
Great video! I was just wondering if you think an 8.9 harvest multiplier might be too much. I tried it for a few hours and it felt good, but I can’t stop thinking that I’m basically cheating.
Yer I would say thats too high for me personally. You would want it at x2.
Just have harvest health x4.
Gives a reason to spec annky etc with melee damage.
To be honest everyone will have a different preference. My settings are considered high but I don't want to farm for hours, I'd prefer exploring and taming dinos. So feel free to use the settings and change them as you desire for your own experience
Lol bro I play w like x50 in my single player, you're basically 1 person trying to keep up with mega tribe level of output if you want to play for fun/casually in the late game. Big bases cost thousands of mats, blueprints cost thousands of mats, nobody normal has time to be flying around the map 15 times just to grind mats because you want a big base or to use end game gear.
The only ones judging you for not playing vanilla settings or even relatively close are no lifes

Idk what I did wrong but these settings didn’t work for me at all. I tried this on fjoirder and I am level 50 on day two and have guns because the ship wrecks give way to much metal and tools.
Ahh I see, well you can tone it down a bit too, these are settings to do the bosses faster in 50-100 hours.

i like your settings, only thing i would change is to give wild dinos a lot more oxygen. I thought that all dinos had unlimited oxygen, and i found out they don't when i knocked out a giga in the ocean...

I've been playing ark in single player settings with my friend we basically one tap everything so I searched up how to make the game more balanced and turned SP settings off now my levels are screwed and I can't level up anyone know how to fix this?
Take a mindwipe tonic to reset your level with the new settings
If you're at lvl 105 it's the base level cap. You can gain 5 levels for each end game boss you kill for example the overseer. You can also use chibis by leveling them up by killing alpha dinos as well

I rebought the game last night after not playing since it was in beta. Was practice taming a level 10 dodo last night on single player with taming set at max and the taming bar never moved. Even with forced feeding and lots of mejo berries in it's inventory.
Also the pteradon saddle is not in my first 70 levels of engrams. So not sure if my game is broken or if I didn't set settings up right

Me and my friend have this problem where we change the settings hop on a non dedicated server and when we leave settings are changed back to normal, any fix ideas?

Playing ark on pc for the first time, and I wanted some chill settings for single player so I can get used to pc before I go to servers. Hopefully the settings you made help me get back on my feet

Personally, the only settings you need to change are the breeding, imprinting, and egg incubation settings. I have played ark single player for 850 hours and here is my advice for settings changes that are a little different than ConCon's recommendations. Resource harvesting should be set to 1.5. the maps are designed so that one player has plenty of resource nodes to progress from, but if you get too many resources from a few nodes it ruins the desire to go exploring! 1.5 harvest rates also mean you need resource harvesting dinos and good ones, with imprints and levels so there is a reason to grind for them. XP should be set to double, after a player reaches level 100, and set to 1x before, you should progress at a steady vanilla rate, however once you max level, increase the xp gain to 2 or even up to 4 just to max level your armies of dinos, if you don't increase the xp multiplier, grinding for XP will be redundant by your hundredth dino. Finally, lower the time it takes for dinos to grow, and breed WAAY DOWN. If you as a single guy want to have any chance at mutating multiple different dinos you need to be popping open 40-60 eggs every hour at least to grind for mutations. Leave the other settings at vanilla, it's more fun that way.

@@Alex_A-oi4bl This was me a month ago lol. Depends on what kind of game you want to play, I personally leave the XP multiplier at 1 and set the taming speed to 4x. The mating interval I set to be very low either 0.1 or 0.001. Egg hatch speed to 80x which is still like 30min01 hour to hatch one egg without an incubator, and I set the dino grow speed to 40x. I set resource harvesting to 1.5x, everything else I leave alone. Imprinting needs to be an interval of 1, so if your growth speed is at 40x, the imprint timer should be 1/40.
@@Alex_A-oi4bl right now you should play fjordor it has the most creatures, mini bosses, realms/stuff to explore. It took me 160 ingame days to beat the map.

I am getting a ridiculous amount of recourses when I hit trees or harvest dinosaurs (etc.) how do I make the amount of stuff I get more balanced?
You can lower the harvest health, harvest amount etc

How do people get dinos that are like level 350-500. Most of my dinoes are around 100 and i cant figure out why. Also what level dinos are good for boss fights on "
The Island"
Mutations, when you breed mutations your creatures gain bonus levels in their stats to make them much stronger. Typically you'd use around level 300 dinos or higher for island boss fights with good saddles, high health (30000) and high melee % like 800 or more
How do you get the levels similar to official servers tho? Im still seeing weird level intervals and want the 5's like on officials up to 150.

I have PTSD because of The passive def hurt rideless dinos , I remember setting it on and then suddenly a Titanosaur steps on my spikes and destroyed my whole base and killed all my dinos🤣

I have been playing on official servers since 2019...awesome video btw. So, by switching to single player, I have to start over from scratch but at these settings, things will go faster? Can I modify or create dinos with the stats I need already? Thank you for your help in advance.

Idk why but whenever I tame a giga the melee will go below 100% even though when it was unconscious it was above 100%
That's just how taming gigas is in Ark, the wild giga is WAY better than the tamed one lol.
Help me concon if you see this how does the transfering work because i want to play all the maps connected with the same character as one playthrough what order and how do i swap
In single player? you can do the story maps in order; Island, Scorched, Aberation, Extinction then Genesis 1 & 2
For the other maps there is no logical order, it's up to you.
For single player you can upload your survivor (or ascend after last boss fight on most story maps) and then start the new map and select your character from downloads instead of making a new character. You can't keep any items on your inventory or body though, but you can upload them as items at a terminal and then download them from a terminal at a new map.

Im on Xbox S, i've tried Fjordur, Ragnarok , Crystals Isle in single player and i cant tame up any passive dinos like pt dods etc...... Only Active like moshops pegos etc... U know why? Is pointless playing single with out tames.... 😖

What does the fuel consumption multiplier do does it smelt and burn materials faster or only the fuel I'm just not certain
As far as I know it uses up fuel faster, not sure if it speeds up cooking or smelting

I have over 1800 hours on ark and have been playing on my stupid op settings this entire time. I didn't copy the settings exactly but my game is so much more fair now. I used to have dino's that did 500,000k damage and think it was fair.

Bro I want to play single player again so bad but it's broken . On Xbox I redownloaded the game n like 3 hrs in stopped n realized my world is dead n barren . I remember ark being teeming with life but bc of a "hibernation" update apparently no dinos spawn near me n it's very sad . Is it worth getting gold so I can play a dead server online or something? I wish I could use the single player game options tho .

@@ConCon look up "hibernation dinos not spawning" it seems obscure but a lot of people are affected by it . Seems it affects only single player

The maxiumum multiplier I can set my settings to is 3. For example "XP Multiplier" and "Taming Speed" only go up to 3 at the max instead of 5 or 4. I'm using all the mods given in the "How to beat the ISLAND map on Ark" video besides Auto Engrams. Anyone know why this is occurring?

I recommend lower the growth speed of Dinos because it won’t give you enough time to get 100% imprint with the shadowmane

Recommendation: Don't turn on PvE mode if you want to be able to carry dinos with your argy or w/e other flyer.

Will setting player stats per level to 1.0 make it go up 100 health ect. Per level or will I need to do something else?
So 1 in that case mean 100% of the value health normally goes up by. Which is 10 by default. Setting it to 5 for example is 500% of 10, which is 50. So health would go up by 50 each time you level up health.

Under Advanced Settings, you need to check the box for Allow Flyer Carry PVE. Pretty sure PVE mode has to be checked as well.

How about engrams? I've looked everywhere on the settings and i can't figure out a way for me to start with all the engrams like most dedicated servers have.

I can never find the perfect settings for singleplayer cause I feel like im cheating.. I know it sounds dumb but its the way I am, a tryhard.
cant believe they havent added preset settings to singleplayer yet, like 100% official settings, or small tribes setting which is like x5 that I think it would be perfect for singleplayer, should be the default setting even
so you have the feeling of playing something legit you know, like you hop in a game and you just choose easy/normal/hard diff and thats it.(like in minecraft or something)
Because of that I had to play solo official PVE for most of the time.. I got 3k hours on this game and thats my story.

xp multiplier 5 is to strong with this you have no fun
Depends on how you play but yes you can realistically set that to 2 if you want to. All settings are just a guideline and I encourage you to change them for your own liking
