Tekken 8 Alisa Guide | Key Moves

- Hey! It's finally here! I have completed my key moves guide and I'm really proud of how it turned out. I included real in-game footage against other high ranked players to really show you how to use these moves. It was really hard narrowing down to 10 moves which is why I included quite a few honorable mentions! Even still, there's other moves to discuss which will come in the future that deserve their own video, but these moves and strategies are enough to level you up to at least blue ranks! What moves do you think were missing? Are you surprised by the number one move? Are you surprised by any of these moves making the list? Is my list totally wrong?! Please let me know your thoughts! Also, stay tuned for my partner celebration videos, giveaways, and more. They are on the near horizon :-)
I also need to give a shoutout to my best friend and training partner, @BadonkieZonk who helped me put this list together. Check out their videos for some amazing Lili, Nina, Alisa, Zafina, and Jun content. They are a female character specialist most known for their Anna!
I would so greatly appreciate any feedback, questions, and opinions on the list. Let's talk about it! Thank you guys so much for supporting my guides and content. I have a lot more planned!
I used move names to not completely spoil the list since many people don't typically know the names of the moves. #alisa #tekken8 #alisaguide

Buffy thank you so much fot making this video! I’ve gone up 3 ranks after watching this almost a tekken king now!
@@RYL-ENTERTAINMENT thank you for watching! I’m so glad it’s been helpful and congrats on your hard work paying off 🦾😄
This comment made my day!
I was humble by someone after not playing for 3 months now im here watching you for me to improve
@@knightfury3359 the rustiness after a break can be hard, but breaks are important! I hope this video helps 😄 thank you for watching!
Felt I'm learning this game to be my brother's training partner 💪
Absolutely love how there are examples of each move and explaining when you like to use them
thanks man! i tried to find the balance of keeping it short and to the point but still full of information 😅 i appreciate you noticing and hope it helped!
this is THE best Alisa guide once you hit mid-experience playing her. also nice because it's not 30+ mins long
Thank you so much! I have a part two coming soon! I believe in keeping vids short and to the point 😁
This comes at a time that I'm looking to improve my play with Alisa - thank you so much for the incredible (and thoroughly detailed) top moves guide!
@@nicholasvandeloecht4249 I’m so glad to hear this is helpful! I’ll be posting more matches and guides soon too 😁 thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
LOVE this! Not only do you give invaluable tips for each move, you gave us several IN-MATCH examples of how to use each move optimally.
Awesome guide!
@@TheFighter411 yay! that makes me so happy to hear. thanks a bunch for watching! ☺️
@@im_buffyOh no…thank YOU for bestowing pivotal knowledge! Keep doing what you do! 😁👍
I think it's funny how a lot of TEKKEN players think you automatically win, if you pick Alisa. You still have to know things lol
Alisa is actually a lot of work imo! I know most won’t believe that, but it’s true! Everyone is just on the Alisa is OP bandwagon at the moment.. Lidia coming out soon will fix that 😅
She's not too much work, but like a lot of people say, she's absolutely not broken. She's still fair for the most part, but I'll still be seething everytime I face her lol. Good video
This is the video I needed to learn new stuff with Alisa and hopefully climb where i left off. I was stuck bushin before i quit months ago came back recently and still bushin and kishin but i think i cam hit TK today!! She has so many moves i forget to use some of them i know a bad habit of mine is spamming d4 1+2 lol, and i stopped using her hellsweep alot. Now time to use more of those WS moves. I'm glad Alisa is a good but fair character who hasn't gotten a nerf because some people be gassing her lol. Hope the S2 new moves are good or any buff would like to see too 🙏🏾 cant wait to see some more content from a fellow alisa gang
@@Onewolf101 thanks so much for watching and commenting! It means a lot! I’m glad to hear this video can help you level up. I have another video on the way about how to work through each rank tier as well coming pretty soon that should help as well.
Here’s to alisa buffs and leveling up our play!
Great video fam.
Other honorable mentions I'd add:
• ff1+2: safe approaching mid with great tracking on 2nd hit.
• wr2: fast +5 high that guarantees a follow-up on hit and can also transition to DES. This will make them want to duck.
• ff4: safe chunky mid knee for when they try to duck wr2 or d3. Has good pushback at tip range.
Well I learned a bunch. Thank you for explaining the moves and demonstrating them so clearly!
Incredible video. I’m new to tekken and I really like Alisa. Your vids have helped me improve alot
Thank you! Welcome to Tekken & Alisa. She’s really fun 😄
I got alisa to fujin during the summer. I hope using the information in this video can allow me to hit tekken king soon 🙏
Great video Buffy, thanks!Been playing other characters lately but this makes me want to go back to Alisa for a while
@@leoncruise thanks for watching! Alisa is fun, but it’s nice to have a few characters to alternate between. glad to hear this guide was useful! ☺️
Thank you so much for this guide! I would say this guide is the missing piece or lesson for me to improve as an Alisa Main/Player, this would help me a lot! You're awesome, Buffy!

@@im_buffy thanks! it means a lot! I won't give up and keep fighting! 🥹🥊⚡
im trying to pick alisa up and your guide was really well thought out! subbing
@@tonypolk8 thanks so much! more is on the way 😄 glad the guide helped 🦾
Great guide. I got someone with WS33 at the wall after the regular 233 wall ender.
Now i gotta start using f2 cuz i didn't realize you can go into chainsaws with f2 1+2 instead of finishing the string
It’s so satisfying to hit the ws33 at the wall! F2 is the goat, I definitely recommend using it frequently. Thanks so much for watching! 😁
Reviewing this on my climb through Raijin as my enemies are seeming to understand my Alisa strategy more here though my strategy is getting more elaborate. I'm still looking to polish my gameplan of Alisa to make the first Kishin and the matches along the way are more intense than I want to admit. (Unfortunately I need to ignore the season 2 negative players that are making maining one character a nightmare trying to scare me about nerfs) Combos aren't the only thing my enemies are beginning to recognize when the combos begin from what forcing me to change gameplans. My costumes for Alisa are evolving alongside the strategies.
@@vapersmith7859 firstly, the costumes are just as important as the strategies of course! but getting to your point about leveling up and the new challenges you’re encountering, it makes sense. Around mid to late blues is when players start to get better and you have to learn to adapt. Instead of one strategy, you need many.. so when one doesn’t work, you try another and don’t feel defeated and stuck. Leveling up is really about being able to adapt to your opponent.
Also, I don’t expect alisa to get nerfed in season 2. I think people exaggerate how strong she is and the balance team most likely knows that. Also, Alisa is sort of the queen of balance patches. In past games, she’s never nerfed and only buffed. I think having one main you stick to is important when learning a game personally.. it goes back to my point of being able to adapt… so theoretically, even if she’s nerfed you will still find a way to make it work and win!
I will be making a season 2 alisa guide as well once it’s time, so I got you covered 😄
Thanks for watching and commenting. Good luck on your ranked climb! Feel free to join our discord too if you have questions, etc. 😁
Another amazing guide thanks 🎉🎉
@@LeftRghtGudNite thank you so much! ☺️
I absolutely love uf2. It’s not a cover all but if I notice people stepping a lot when I run up I start using that.
I’ve also only ever used ws3,3 by accident but I might need to start intentionally using it.
@@virdaen7977 uf2 is incredible! i almost made it #1.. but f2,1 is just crazy. I recommend using ws3,3 more often especially by a wall on oki. Let me know how it goes! Thanks for watching 😃
Amazing video thx
@@Kevinroux13 thanks for watching! part two is coming soon 😁
Amazing guide 🙌🏻
@@Poppy-hu2fi thank you! 🙏🏻
Having played against Alisa every day since Tag 2, it is safe to say she has never been stronger.
Insane movement
Insane damage
Most moves crush low including heat smash which is also a psycho crusher
Can literally outspeed most moves in neutral just by pressing 1+2 and remain safe
Chainsaws can start their own damn Wikipedia page on Utility
I'll never understand Victor's or DVJs nerfs in the face of this android killing machine 😂
@@PaleRaida13 this is definitely the strongest she’s ever been! it doesn’t require much to win with her these days, but i won’t complain 😆 They did mention she’s on the nerf chopping block next patch tho!
Thank you for the video! I’m a super new Tekken and Alisa player, so your videos and this has been helpful to figure out what I should be doing.
I was wondering if you have any Alisa or general Tekken tips. I can usually shred when it’s “My turn” so to speak, but I find it really hard to break out of disadvantage. I don’t really know what to do when pressured since after I block some attacks, I usually go for a 1,1,1+2 but that doesn’t always seem to break out of pressure. Also, sometimes I can land a Down 3, Back 1, or a Down 4. Should I try to follow up on these?
Thanks for the work and the content!
Es una lastima que este video no se pueda traducir 😢 aún así traté de entenderle lo más que pude.. gracias por los consejos! ❤️

@@sisisisi1111 this is from her character episode! i edited it in :)
Where’s b1? I would put it as #1.
I was conflicted about b1.. i am going to make a video just on b1 in the future because i agree that it’s very important.
b1 lost its properties as the no.1 move because everyone had more moves that has better properties on block or on hit.
doing b1 as a keepout move with mishimas is risky because of ff2 being a heat engager.
i would rather do f2 because the game supports agression more than being turtly.
Agreed, Mishima ff2s are spammable in T8. They were slightly nerfed in 1.05. Now there’s less pushback on block, so you can do a forced 50/50. But Alisa isn’t really a 50/50 character (except in chainsaws).
b1 still has nice properties at medium range. You can both backdash and sidestep after it’s blocked to fish for whiff punish launch. And it’s still +8 on hit giving you a mixup between ws3,3 and shoe shine.
Also in T8 the high crush (tc12) in b1 is great against high power crush heat engagers. b1 hits the power crush slowing it down. Then power crush whiffs and b1 recovers in time for you to get a guaranteed hopkick whiff punish. Really nice mid check if opponent is -2 or more. Jabs get crushed, trades with i13 df1 (at -3 beats it clean) and beats lows and high power crushes gets launched. It also has a good hitbox. There are some situations where opponent uses a -2 mid and jabs afterwards as df1 can’t beat it, but b1 does. It also is a good OS against some stances.
f2 has tiny big more range, but you can’t backdash out of it. It has chainsaw entry and heat engager followup. Which is only -10 on block and it launches in heat. f2 is indeed very strong in T8. Definitely a top 10 move. But it is 2 frames slower and doesn’t high crush. They are not in the same category. Different uses.
I play Alisa still in T7 style. Poking to create whiffs and launch with b4,4. b1 and db3 fit this style. I fully agree that d4 is the best low today. Jailing followup is stupid good. And only -11 on block. So fun to spam d4,1+2 against power crush spammers.
I don’t really use dual boot that much. Opponent can buffer a rage art or heat burst. Instead I chase them with the new DES forward dash (usually do DES f1 after dash). If they buffered a rage art / heat burst, I can press d3+4 to cancel the dash immediately and block those (works with DES sidesteps too). Cancel animation has built-in block. I just feel it’s more safe. That’s why I wouldn’t put any dual boot moves to top 10, but I guess that’s just play style difference.
Dawood still loves b1. In this tournament match he does four b1 crouch cancel to another b1 in a row.

alisa
she’s the goat (sorta kinda)
i fear we will lose the wonderful f2+1 in the next patch. she'll be getting nerfs, i can't see that move surviving much longer.
i really hope not! I’m optimistic we may keep it since they already had it on their radar and nerfed it a bit.. i hope that was enough. Alisa is usually the balance queen! if they nerf f2,1 anymore i fear she would not be as strong.
Whats the music in the background?
this is a mix of Sakura Playground from TTT2! 😊
I need a fun sub after kazuya, thnxs❤
ooo that’s actually a really nice pairing of characters!
4:35 Did they nerf this? I can't combo into the floor break anymore, plus the followup does 37 damage instead of 17
@@QU141. it still works! it depends on how the enemy gets up though - how much damage it does and if it’ll floorbreak. play with the enemy get up options in the lab and you’ll see which work and which don’t 😁
ate that
AND DID!

Thanks Buffy but these transitions were nauseatingly bright. Painful to watch at night when the whole screen flashes rainbow really brightly. Also blurring the entire screen just to show the command isn't great. Just keep it going without that pause
