    Great tutorial but please sort out the volume difference in mic and pc output through monitors its about 30db difference so can either not hear them or the tracks making my ears bleed thanks

    Also, it looks like they're using the H-Delay as an insert rather than a parallel right, because of the dry/wet mix.

    Vocal mic in room super quiet and thin. Sounds in project crushed, loud and dynamically challenged. unfortunatelly difficult to listen too. but interesting info.

    Why the heck are there all these studio sessions made with Steinberg's name on it that shows/promotes plugins from other brands. You rarely see any artists using Steinberg in-built EQ. Is that saying the EQ ability in Cubase is just a toy in comparison to Fabfilter?? Waves, Izotope, the list is endless. Use as much inside your DAW than third parties!

    what program is that? where do you get the sounds from? and what's the best production program for house music like deep house or techno?

    • @trashhumper
      @trashhumper 8 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      i think most of their sound comes from those shades on the windows, they really keep the sun from interfering with the bass frequencies which is especially important in drum and bass because the light from outside can fuck with your mastering chain if you have too many resonant peaks on the left side of the potato

    • @TripleTSingt
      @TripleTSingt 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its not about the program, its about the skills and what you know about production. In this Video they use Cubase (I do as well), but Logic, FL Studio, Ableton or even Bitwig (kinda small right now, but cool ideas on production) work as well. If you wanna do Techno, just get yourself a nice synth and some Drums and a multitrack recording environment and you're good to go

    Hi... Can someone explain me this part 29:42 ? I don't seem to understand it.. What's that eq doing exactly? And why does he say that they take it off later? Didn't make sense to me!

    • @ivanmiklec7307
      @ivanmiklec7307 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      himenesu93 kinda late reply but if anyone else wonders why are they doing that, it is because they are distorting the mid range of the sound quite alot, so when they reach a certain point when it gets to much of it, they simply cut it of, letting in only little bit of the mids (or the "artifacts" as they call it), and then they repeat the process of distorting the mids again.
      So in the end it goes something like:
      Distorting the mids alot->cutting them->distorting them again etc. ...
      It is a very popular process called resampling which is used alot in dnb and it is really great for making the bass sound more complex and modulated.

    Yeah let's go film at a place where good musicians make their music and not wear a headphone from the audiorecorder so all the audio of the mics is unnoticed and completely fucked. Good job guys. Very professional. Made me stop watching this video after a while.
