I think that and his contract talks affected his performance.
His level is less since AFCON and World Cup non qualified for Egypt. Between last two goals, Man United and wolves there were 8 games he didn’t score in, he didn’t play in a couple for rest and injury. Huge Salah fan btw. I expect him to bounce back better next season and he will get a mid season break because he’s not going to the World Cup. Should give him a push for 2023 !

I think after AFCON he started to overthink things whereas before he was more instinctive, him and Mané kind of switched after AFCON. But he was still great this season to get the Golden Boot and be top assister is amazing. Hopefully he gets to take his mind of football and come back ready for next season after the final.
