This is expensive as hell. The biggest downside is that they charge you even if the machine is turned off. I don't want to go through all the hell of setting up parsec, downloading games, downloading drivers only to play a few hours then to destroy the machine to avoid costs. Shadow is still the best option out there currently.
You can create a snapshot of your vm (a copy of your machine from the time of snapshot). When creating a new VM you can choose the snapshot, thus not having to re-install everything.
I agree. It seems you have to destroy the machine which I assume wipes all the data on the machine, so you'd have to download everything all over again just to avoid being charged hourly. I honestly like shadow, one set price for the month and that's it, no need to worry about being charged when the macine is off. Shadow is definitely one of the best options for a cloud PC at the moment in my opinion.
@WysamxNet if you can take a snapshot of the VM and load it up so youre not downloading everything again than even for gaming it seems like a cheaper option if you're not playing games for long periods of time. I only play a few hours here and there so in the long run this will be the cheaper option than shadow. But how do you go about taking the snapshot?
@@McDonald_Duck well i'd love to test it out, but i cannot create a gpu vm until I add $50 to my account (a requirement that this reviewer didn't tell us). maybe I can create a vm without gpu just to test it out with snapshots. I'm confident it'll work because i've done on other cloud providers like AWS and Google Cloud. To answer your question, Vultr has a snapshot page that will let you take snapchot of your vm.

Ok so this is tricky so listen closely. I wish I added this to the video. When you activate VNC, you are activating a secondary display. To get Parsec activated, have VNC and Parsec windows side by side. In VNC, install Parsec and connect your Parsec account. Then connect with your local Parsec app. You should have both VNC and Parsec active. Right click on the desktop to go to the Display settings in VNC. Go to the Extend Displays and set Show on 2 only which will be Parsec. Close your VNC window and you should be good.

Be cautious, they stopped me from creating a GPU with this message. Unable to place order: A minimum deposit of $50 is required for Cloud GPU plans. Basically forcing you to add $50 before you can use. Even with the $100 credit from this video. #VeryShadyBusinessPractice

For some reasons whenever I try to reboot the server or try restore from a snapshot I get stuck on the boot screen and nothing works anymore. Anyone have a solution?
