When I was about Mazzy's age my parents took me to Holiday Park except it was called Santa Claus Village. That was back in 1967. It was not as fancy as now but the memories of the park are still vivid at 66. So glad you are having so much fun.

The gifts to the kids is beautiful---the entire theme park was very interesting. I think I would love to go on the roller coaster. Thank you for sharing, and truly I miss doing all those things as a kid. Special blessings to all of you, GOD is with you this entire trip.
Oh haven’t been on a vacation like that in so many years as our grandchildren are teenagers now, it was so much fun watching things through a child’s eyes💖

Before my brother passed away, he took me to Holiday World right after he got his license. Just the two of us. I don't know how he convinced my grandfather to let us both skip a day of school. But it was one of the best memories I have of him. We had such an amazing time. He was 16 and I was 14. And I remember he let me drive on a few of the back roads on our way back home. Sounds absolutely crazy now looking back on it 10 years later letting 2 young teenage boys go to a completely different state on their own for a day. But I will never forget how much fun we had. Glad yall are having a fun vacation.

When I 1st moved to Illinois, we got season passes to Six Flags in Eureka MO. For about 10 years the boys loved the water park there. I have so many memories in a place like that, so much fun. Stay safe guys, enjoy your trip.

Your vacation. I think you’re doing a wonderful job of finding unique things for the kids to enjoy without having to cost a lot. Loved the pancake maker for breakfast by the way😊❣️ I think it’s OK to keep secrets and surprises from your children. I don’t think they should be allowed to scream at you because you’re mad.… It’s obvious Mazzy knows how to scream loudly once she got on those rides in the last two days! For the little size of her body she has got a loud scream! It was nice to hear you say, Gary, that you thought Kentucky was beautiful because it really is! Cassie you took it in good strides when you found out the correct pronunciation of Illinois..Much better than I did about Des Moines and Illinois!! I have never been to the Santa Claus world in Indiana (or whatever the official name was) but how wonderful was it to know that they gave so many things that were free to a family. I think now that more families know that so much was free they may just try to come there on vacation!! Ranger I’m really sorry about the basketball game you tried to play and they tricked you😂❣️❣️❣️❣️
Unfortunately, show me any of those games are red and your Dad tried to warn you of that but sometimes we have to learn that ourselves …. I was younger than you when I lost all of my money at the local fairgrounds with trickery like you just experienced. You’re a good kid and I’m sorry that happened to you!!!!

We live just south of Shiloh, IL. Holiday World in Indiana is a fun weekend that we have enjoyed just about every year when my children were young and then again when my grandchildren came along. Now my youngest (5th) grandchild is 10 years old and the older grandkids have moved on to other things like boating and side x side trips. My daughter and family is leaving for South Dakota with their 4 sis for 10 days! Enjoy!
When I was little it was called Santa Clause Land. I was born and raised in Indiana now I’m retired and live in Florida . Love it…you have a blessed family
