Yeeaaaaa...I missed an edit. I dunno how to play Sargon. I would have kept Sana or one of the other casters but I didn't have any practice with Sargon and didn't want people to get grumpy when I inevitably sucked lol.

@@Splattercatgaming Sargon is an okay character. His ability allows you to see the top card of each deck whenever you draw cards so you can basically pick the best cards from the one provided to you instead of leaving it all up to fate.
One cool thing I like about Armello is that even if you have a character who is more suited for a certain playstyle or win type, you can still build them however you want to better fit your own playstyle. You can totally take a low fight/caster hero and turn them into a combat heavy tank by the end of the game if you build them up right.
It is beautiful and looks so smooth. Thank you for this review. I would have never found this game, if it wasn't for you Splat. Thanks.
"Relying on your best chances" is still relying on luck.
That's Armello. A lot of it is luck or calculated chances. It functions as a makeshift catch-up mechanic that mostly ensures a game isn't really over until the end. It works...most of the time. There are basically three activities that are always a surefire good idea: gathering prestige (it wins by default), questing (guaranteed stat gain, prestige gain and, at the end, free entrance into the palace) and gathering spirit stones. Everything else...relies on chance.

I bought this game when it was early access because of you splat. I think I was actually one of the first 50 players/people who bought it.
Really liking this would love to see more of it :) miss when you used to finish games man feels like ages ago since i saw the end credits of a game roll on this channel.

One of my favourites too, loved it so much but was so annoyed when I didn’t have a PC or laptop to play it. Then they released it for free on AppStore, not entirely sure about android. And it was basically a godsend

Badgers and wolverines only differ in climate choice and therefore, their pelts. Wolverines can be more notorious because in the northern winter food is more scarce and they have the supercharged weasel metabolism so the northern breed is more likely to do crazy shit to get food, like steal a carcass from 3 wolves after beating them up.
I love this game! Wolf Clan in my opinion are the best starters, River and Thane being the best as you said. But the Rat and Bandit Clans always have counter for every other clan. I love to see when me and my friends would play this game, we'd mix, Wolf, with Rabbit, Rats with Bears, or every once in a while, we'd have one roll a Bandit. Good times!

Prophecy is my favorite board game and nobody has every played it.
@@Splattercatgaming I've had it for at least 13 years (with the first expansions). It's a vast improvement on Talisman. I even play solo sometimes.
Yea I like Talisman a lot. Iunno why I prefer prophecy over like runebound but for some reason RB never stuck with me and Prophecy is always my first pvp-enabled boardgame I pull out if people don't wanna play Arkham Horror.

Didn't know this game, I love board games so I have to try this. 30min to 1 hour gameplay is what I want so this must be good.
Wolverines are largely isolated to parts of Central Asia and Siberia, Badgers are more wide spread and can be found in several variations such as the honey badger and brown badger. Another key difference is their size with Wolverines being the largest mustelids while the honey badger might only reach about 80cm in length. You'll also find a major difference in the structure of their hind limbs, Wolverines are wholly plantigrade while Badgers are partially digitigrade. Aside from this there are several differences in the dentition, skin, fur etcetera.
One could say that the only common ground is their foul temper and the noxious scent glands.

They released this in a mobile version as well! I bought it and love playing it @_@ It takes some time to get used to what all is happening during the turns though. The AI doesn't like to explain what's happening very well.

The "+1 Star After a Multiplayer Match" ties into your overall player rank. When playing Multiplayer, you have a whole separate rank and that is your overall player/profile rank (which is different from individual Hero ranks). When you complete multiplayer matches, you earn stars towards your Player Rank. Once you have earned enough stars, your Player Rank goes up. You earn stars based on how well you play or if you won the match, you can earn them if the other players vote you as the MVP of the match and so on and so forth. The Listener Amulet basically gives you 1 free star per match towards your overall Player Rank that you earn when playing multiplayer matches.
I don't really know what all the benefits are for having a high Player Rank online other than bragging rights. I think there might be a Steam Achievement tied in to reaching a certain Player Rank and I think you earn some special amulet/ring you can unlock in-game once you reach a certain rank. I only play a little Online so I am not certain exactly on the "rewards" for having a higher rank exactly. I just know that if there are rewards, I haven't ranked up enough to unlock them. The good thing about your Player Rank in Online is no matter how shite you play, your Rank cannot drop from what I am aware of. Your Rank can only increase though how fast or slow it increases is determined on how well you play your multiplayer matches.
As far as I'm aware wolverines are basically larger, meaner badgers

What will be added with 2.0? I remember wanting to buy this to play online with a friend, but we read that the game didn't allow you to play online with someone through like a friend invite, or that it used to but people were complaining about that being used to grief so they removed it.
Has playing with a friend been added or should we still skip this game, I guess is my real question
I got it with my freind and we've been playing it together, invite friend to game still exists so no worries there
You should try for a Rot victory sometime. It takes a bit of doing, but you can have ridiculous run away victories with those corrupted weapons.
Been interested for a while, but haven't gotten around to trying it. With the 2.0 coming I might finally get around to it when it launches but at the same time kind of waiting to hear what people think of the changes.
The 2.0 update screwed up the game, like they took a crowbar to it.
They made changes just to make changes, and made getting into the game (menu selection of heroes & items) a hassle, and some of the in game stuff itself worse.
And like the Stelaris 2.0 update, they removed stuff - the custom online game options. Though they said it would be added back in later.

I loved the game when I got it right after its free weekend last year but then found it to be poor for the price due to having to buy the new characters for almost as much as I bought the game as well as ques for games that were terribly long so I stopped playing. I am installing now and am willing to give it another chance but I doubt it has improved enough to bring me to think this is a good game.
Nope this game still has an abysmal monetary system and is simply not worth the price of all the DLC which are more then twice the price of the game.
Currently they are asking for 75euros for the full game on steam... No wonder if the playerbase i diminishing... It's a great game! solo online play is a bit off for the above mentioned reason but if have a few mates to battle i'ts loads of fun. Just wish they would make the price more reasonable i'm sure that's what's holding it back

(Swords, sun/moon, tree) I roll 14 die (Hooray rot!) and get less than half actually succeed and of those only 3 are attack rolls out of 14. With 50% chance for EACH die. And I feel like I get this all the bloody time! It's probably gamblers fallacy, but it's so frustrating to throw a massive PILE of dice, and have it do NOTHING.
yes, i think the AI cheats.
i dont even play the game yet, but i have played a large number of tabletop converted games and one thing seems clear: when playing against the AI, they always seem to cheat.
its as if the games where never designed to be played singleplayer, and so the only way devs can buff the AI is to legit let them cheat
its lazy and frankly sad
The AI doesn't cheat in Armello. It's pretty easy to outwit the AI once you learn the basics.
