Back in 1971, my folks and I went on a summer cross country camping roadtrip. Starting in Miami, we went across to California, up the coast into Canada, down through Montana, over to Michigan and home. One of the things I remember most was Lake Louise and how my dad could never say Banff. He always pronounced it Braniff, like the airlines. Thanks for bringing back memories. :)

Awesome stuff! BTW, the greenish hue to the waters are caused by the high concentration of terpines from the evergreen trees prominent in the area. Normal for waterways surrounded by evergreen forests. I'm not sure I'd wanna drink it, but it's safe to swim in if you like cold water. Looking forward to your next episode.

I missed these places. We used to come here in the mid 90’s. Banff, Jasper and drove the scenic icefield parkway. Not that many tourist back then. Mostly just Canadians. Now visitors flocking from around the world to see it. And obviously you can the see the human footprints on the trails.
Robert I watch you all the time. Watching from La Crosse, WI. This has been my favorite video of yours so far, and believe me, I've watched them all. I'm at the point where I'm keeping up with you in real time. I've pretty much cleaned out your back catalog of videos. I've always been leery of international travel (bad flight experience), but this video has prompted me to look into getting my passport renewed and to take a trip to the Canadian Rockies. Thank you for all you do!
What a magnificent video and indeed a gorgeous place. The star of the video though was the cold IPA and the rib eye.. you sure know how to work up an appetite after a good hike :D

Robert i cant believe you never saw or showed a video of the Banff Springs Hotel while walking through Banff, the most beautiful gothic looking hotel in Canada. It is more beautiful the the Chateau Lake Louise with its old castle looking huge stone structure. It is the main attraction in Banff, did you see it?

That was very nice site seeing. I think Canada will need to be at least two part trip. Going to Alaska through ND and Canada at where you stopped this video. And just seeing Canada around Jasper close to your way. Fuel is problem! Also how do you eat so much? I have noticed this over years you cook days worth and when you eat at place you get twice what I could eat. And there of course is problem most have and you don't. Things that get noticed.
The Canadian rockies look much more spectacular than the Colorado rockies, but what a beautiful turqouise color on Lake Moraine, great video thank you!

Can you bring Bear spray into Canada or do you have to purchase it after you get there I’ve heard that their check points can be not so friendly at times I know you can’t bring a gun but a person needs bear spray

In 2009 my wife and I went to Calgary stampede then travelled the same route as you to Alaska. We are enjoying reliving our trip and can't wait to wait to see how you traveled the highway.
Such an awesome video and so many memories for me. I camped there in the 50's in a tent and was fortunate to ride our bikes from Banff to Jasper on a two day trip with a stop near the Columbia Ice Fields. The hikes around the lakes and the Athabaska Water Fall were awesome! Loved every minute.
I was surprised at the huge crowds. Seems like natural recreation has turned into theme parks. Great job on filming around the crowds. Hopefully Alaska will be less crowded.
We have just returned from a 3 week holiday to all these places! My memories will last forever but what sticks out is the peak2peak the icefields too oh Wow I stood on a Glacier!! Thanks for sharing. We can't wait to return with our own Motorhome ❤
