BGC is perfect for us, We wanted to enjoy city life as we are from the countryside so its nice to experience something different and then chuck in some trips to the islands to break it up 🥰
You got a good bargain for 1BR with a beautiful view! Renting a condo in BGC area is extremely expensive. We live in McKinley Hill area, renting a 3BR bare unit for about £1000. We are on the other side of American Cemetery, so we have the same view. I would say that your location is the best.

It's so expensive where I'm at in California. The idea that my partner and I could live in BGC for under $1,000 USD/mo is very alluring. Looking forward to your future long content videos

Forgot to mention in the video we also have access to a gym and infinity pool which is covered with our rental cost! We only have water, electricity and internet to pay on top. I will do an updated video once we know how much these things all cost 😊

Welcome to the Philippines...I have my Studio Condo somewhere in Taguig, 30 minutes from the airport - that's what I need in coming home to the Philippines...We had our main house in the countryside ( it takes 4 hours from Manila to the countryside ) - so, it's not that bad...I'm here in the UK, England...still working at the Royal Mail for quite some time now...Planning to retire in the Philippines when the time comes (you know what I mean). ENJOY YOUR STAY IN THE PHILIPPINES. MABUHAY...STAY SAFE.

If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option, DMCI around Pasig is also quite gorgeous. DMCI offers resort-style condos with beautiful amenities. The properties are pet-friendly, and the areas are quite spacious too.
lol stop it. Pasig is not BGC.
@ as I mentioned "more budget-friendly OPTION" so it must be considered outside bgc tho' and also there are some DMCI properties which is also near at BGC.
Dmci Brixton and Fairlane are great options located just across the bridge to BGC.
Get your art work at greenhills shopping center in San Juan. Loads of art frame and you can haggle bargain.

It's $1,000.00 US per month. We live in a 3 bedroom condo triple gated, hi rise, ameneties up the gazoo, indoor parking. $600.00 US per month. Acacia Estates, Royal Palm residences, Taguig. NCR.

Hello here again supporting you 🙂🙂 Filipino here i hope you invited your friends and family so that they will experince too a lot of foreigner transfer here bcoz their money is a lot lot way to go than in their own country my mother is arizona and the rent there is verry expensive and food even hair cut is verry expensive while here you can go to barbershop local barbershop and you only paid small rent here if apartment 5k up pesos philippine money dpeends on how long or how short condo is much higher obcourse depends on area and place

first i thought $860 was very high in south east asia but when i see the view and space and ammenities i think it's a good deal and when you compare this in any major US cities this kinda view will be 2-3k per month.
I forgot to include in this video but we also have access to a pool and a gym, full security and it includes our association costs which covers the cost of the actual building for things like security and waste removal. 😊

@laurenelizabeth_athome is 50k monthly rent with amenities a lot cheaper compared to a house in the UK,,, well of course setting aside the size of the place or space
Hope you connect with Brian the Lion, his rent is only 35,000 pesos also in BGC and it is a corner unit. Build friendship with expats who are already living there for 1 year up. They can help u. Good vibes ❤

No make friends with locals. Your not there to make friends with westerners . Your there for the locals and the culture. I don't get why people do that. We live where the locals live and make friends with locals then you get more of an amazing culture experience
Try to make friends with Locals. In the US, Brian the Lion is a MAGA person. I've seen a couple of his Arizona videos and was utterly turned off by him.

Did you manage to find any 6 month rentals in bgc? I have not seen many advertised. Will be looking for when we spend more time there in the near future.
We struggled but you could always ask! You may be better getting an air bnb for a month and then negotiating to stay longer. That is how we stayed in our first property for 6 months out here.

What rental websites did you look at? I’m looking for a place that has an indoor air conditioned basketball court, if such a thing even exists in BGC so I don’t have to keep renewing a membership at Pretty Huge or Kerry Sports.
Ok I caught that you mentioned FB. Makes perfect sense and I agree that looking on websites has been terrible.

Did Chris take those monitors there or did he buy them in the Philippines? I plan to move to there and do trading while I am there. Chris should do a video about trading from the Philippines.
He brought his laptop and stand and then on the left of his desk he has a travel friendly monitor which is an LG and a stand which we got most things from Amazon before we left England so that he has a travel friendly set up for trading but he does prefer more screens so we purchased the other monitor out here. Chris is not the biggest fan of social media, but I can try and encourage him hahah
Trading is a waste of money and time
Had the same question for a move to BGC or Bangkok. Have an Apple Studio Display monitor and trying to figure out how to bring it with me or ship it.
Which Development is this? Do you have facilities such as a rooftop pool/gym there? I'm also from the UK though living in Kuala Lumpur but considering Manila in the future but the cost of living there especially rentals is certainly much more than the equivalent quality you can get in KL (that's not a criticism - just a dilemma for me).
That BGC area really rent is extra high. But other parts of Metro Manila is cheaper , like just adjacent of BGC is Makati City the condominium of my friend for rent is just around 25K to 39k per month.
@@HildaGaurino-d4j Thanks I will need to explore this - its just that everyone tells BGC is where I should be and other areas are not as nice plus traffic, facilities, walkability and even safety is quite different outside I am told

@@cypruscats8450 we had a tiny studio unit before this so it feels very spacious to us 😂 yes in England we did have a 3 bed house, however we didn’t utilise all the space and we’re only able to use the garden a few times a year due to the weather. We’ve always wanted to live in a city and the compromise is the size of your living accommodation and living in a condo. This is something we wanted to try out and it’s only temporary. We plan to move to another country in October!
@@laurenelizabeth_athome ok got it. Yes perhaps it's not forever, especially if you go on to have a family eventually but if you're happy for now that's all that matters. I too am living abroad, you guessed in Cyprus but I rent as kept 2 properties in UK in case want to return. That was 25 years ago! I have a 250 sq metre property here so yes it feels small to me but as I say we only rent!
Carefull.... make sure blur out buildings surrounds you.... some nut/fan could Google locate ur adobe... and follow you home...

We have black out curtains in the bedroom, there are blinds in the main living space but we never close them!
