@@RadialSeeker113 The difference is that there are actually a lot of different jokes in starrail, and the trashcans don't have to carry all the humor by themselves, unlike the emergency food. People just latched onto them because they're the easiest to find first.

The reason why at least I compare the two games is because they're both really good and I have to choose one because I don't have time or energy for both. But I don't go around telling people that they should be playing my personal favorite.

Gepard is a gigachad bro, my whole team died while attempting world 6 of SU and bro just stood their staring at Cocolia trying to kill him lmfao (he survived like 15 turns by himself)
Edit: I also got that one achievement from it, your character has to take 10k dmg in a single fight or something along those lines.
I think he will get even better when the enemy gets harder because they won't be able to one shot you
I think the easiest way to explain it to Tectone might be to say that he’s a tank and a healer in one. Now he isn’t healing obviously, but his Ultimate shield is so chunky, it’s like “preemptive healing” in the sense it mitigates damage just like healing. And then he has all the class passives, traces, and Light Cone if he’s lucky to direct damage to him which is further damage mitigation for the team and also builds up his Ult so he can shield more often.
Tectone is probably just judging him when you first get him, and yeah, he’s not the greatest then because you can’t get his Ult shield online often enough for it to be consistent. But once you can, he can Ult every 2 turns easily, every 1 most times honestly. You basically have a tank and a healer in one unit with him.

I have him at level 50 with his def around 1500 and running him with Clara (total f2p here I got her when I lost my 50/50 for Seele :,3), between the hate they draw between the two its just not fair, Gepard will just keep shielding and Clara countering with AOEs

Gepard is the GOAT when you give him HP artifacts that have set bonuses for defense. He’ll aggro after shielding and his skill freezes more times than not which mixed with the right team you’ll have 3 full turns before they even take Dot damage.
All while shielded for 1000+. Gep is the man.
Yep combined that with preservation and the freeze blessings and you're good to go in simulated universe.
i build him full DEF. Bro when you get his Def to 3k+ there is just no way ANY ENEMY can break his shield.
In World 6 when Cocolia phase 2 started and she was charging her AOE attack, i would always Gepard ult and guess what? She couldnt even break the shield!!!

Build QQ when you don’t get seele.
Pom-Pom is a good mascot because you aren’t force to be around him. Thus you enjoy his interactions more because you have a choice in interacting with him.
Qingque with Quantum set is a great quantum DPS, especially with Tingyun. The RNG can be overcome quite easily too, so like it's not that big a deal

I usually dont love quite things in games and in media but pom-pom is surprisingly charming.
I just got Tingyun and used hew with my maxed 50lvl QQ. I got 8k damage with 4 star items.
Long and short of it is that the MC has Undertale-level interactions with various things, garbage cans most of all. If you take your time to hunt around Belabog, they can send March and Dan Heng running away, bow to a dumpster in worship, see the future underneath a lid, and construct imaginary personalities for various cans.
In addition to their general kleptomaniacal tendencies(chests) and their omnipresent greed(you will usually have an extortion option), the community just generally agrees that their spirit animal is a raccoon. Otherwise known as trash panda.
Late game Gepard is like 5 fire mc stacks of shields and with proper energy regen he just doesnt die. And if he does die he just comes back up like undertaker and proceeds to tank for 10 more turns
I feel like Fire MC should get a bigger shield for themselves then keep everyone’s else’s the same. Sometimes to me it feels like the shield isn’t even there.
Tbh, that may make mc even MORE BROKEN, like they already take less damage from their skill 😭
Maybe because we're in the beginning of the game,but it may get better when we have him at lvl 80 full eidolon and good relics. Remember that he put his shield every time he plays,so it should't be too strong
I dunno champ, he has a taunt and damage reduction built in. You can simply build him for his shield to be stronger. I wanna pair him with march 7 just for constantly be handing out shields. Either that or bailu since heals are still super important.

@@Paolini_18 TBH I'd rather they give a slightly bigger shield to the other characters more so than the MC...usually when they get hit (either by AOE or the enemy decides to ignore the MC's taunt) they lose the shield and anywhere from 1/5th HP to half HP. Like what was said before MC's damage reduction via skill is strong and can become even better with the right relics/high def/lightcone passive so the shield on MC may not really be that needed...other characters, especially squishy ones, could use one that's at least 3 times it's current size (basically 5% of their HP bar is covered at best)...doesn't need to be March or Gepard levels but I'd at least like the shields to withstand 1 attack at bare minimum.
The thing about Gepard is that he needs the 4* LC "Landau's Choice" that produces Aggro. Though its not a requirement but that LC really shows how good Gepard is.

There's a talent that makes enemies way more likely to attack him. He takes all of the hits 90% of the time. You don't need the LC for that.
Im a gepard main and cleared SU 6. You dont need that light to make him good
@@amanneelgund1703 I don't think Speed matters. If he's the only one getting attacked he's gonna regenerate energy off people smacking him around and his Ultimate is what's most important.
I love geppie and i use that light cone on him but as someone who built clara as my main dps, the aggro on gepard messes with me a lot LMAO

Gepadr IS really that good. MC is made of paper if you look at him after playing Gepard.
It's so hard not to pull for Seele but after losing the 50/50 I'm at 76 summons saved for the Lightening Dude and the great 4 star banner. The pain.
Just grind, then convert every jade into the special passes so you trick yourself into thinking you don't have enough. It's a good way to chill.

MC is great, top tier tank that can bring a lot to the team. MC can do more things. But Gepard is all about shielding and he does it monstrously well to the point where I literally don't need to use a healer to clear hard content.
I was super happy when I pulled Himeko tbh. One of my favorite characters starting this game.

For me I just forget they exist in any game their in because I just want to get into one fight after the next.
Gepard made the game too easy for me. You don't really need to spend skill points to taunt when he has LC and trace with taunts. Then he just whips out that shield every other turn.

You basically can build Qingque when you don't have Seele, Thing about QQ is that she can do big PP quantum damage but her skill is so not optimal to use for memory stages because she's very skill point hungry with her enhancer skills, but even so she's actually a fun unit to use so its not a lose lose situation
I've recently gotten her and didn't like how point hungry her E is, but goddamn I just put her in a team with Nat, March, and FireMC and holy shit she can take all points she wants she hits hard.

Gepard is better. He has Taunt as a passive, tho it's more like percentage chance for him to be attacked. Also he has an instant revive. Needless to say, his shield is on his ult. Just build him with some energy recharge then def and more def it's good to go. Since shield is on ult, you can provide your main dps with more skill points. Specially if, and I hope, you pull Seele since Bronya skill consumes skill point.
I forgot, his talent gives everyone shield right at the start of the battle. So you have enough to tank for you to up your ult.
You already got Yanqing. Chinese Top Meta Lists shows how good he becomes in memory of chaos. on floor Seele the other him is standard. The same for Gepard, he becomes very strong with taces and gear. He is a stabel and most time used with Yanqing in memory of chaos.

I got so lucky in HSR. My first five star was Bailu. My second one was Welt's Light Cone (Waiting for Welt now 'cause I'm trying to collect every guy character to exist), and in the same 10 pull, I got Gepard. If I didn't have Bailu and Gepard, I would've been dead by now (probably). Bailu is my current support. The only time I haven't used Bailu is when I used a Welt support to see his attacks.

i have E1 gepard and he's very good in places where i need a tank, which is in the worlds in herta's lab thingy.
Gepards really good as a tank I once use a lvl 50 gepard support on a boss, which has all stacked def btw, his shield is really massive I probably won't need a healer cause they can't touch my hp. His like March 7th but more cracked.

My luck has been so bad in Star Rail but I've got the characters I wanted most at least. Like on Seele Banner I had to go 80 twice, but least 1st fail was Welt. Got Bronya with the free tickets on standard banner ^^

I pulled Gepards LC on my 1st 10 pull on standard, then just recently pulled him too. Really tempted to build him now after reading these comments, but FireMC had that LC now and I dont want to rob her.

@tectone Gepard really is the best, at level 50 I have his def around 1500, that shield she puts it basically another health bar that has a lot of damage resistance, at that point Gepard up time with his barrier is more than 100% so you never die

@@amanneelgund1703 You really don't need speed, he's slower than most characters so getting him fast enough yo profit from an extra turn is really just wasted effort. Get him Energy Regen and his passive taunt ability and he will get his ults charged without extra speed.
MC is better in terms of using the aggro and damage red to keep himself alive, but Gepard can freeze, his ult scales with defense, and it's applied to the whole team. On a world run using preservation with gepard you'd think your running a DPS team.

The ones with Himeko and Light Cones kinda pains me, my first standard 5 star was Himeko and then every other standard 5 star was Himeko as well, sitting at E2 currently before getting a different standard. While pulling for characters, I also got 2 Himeko LCs and 2 Yan LCs, definitely not complaining about getting Himeko but I would've also liked different characters to play around with at the start, I also agree that there should be a standard Character and LC banners that are separate or at least do a 1:1 switch between characters and LCs
First pull was Bronya, then I got Welt’s light cone and a 5* hunt cone from the standard banner. Got Seele and Himeko off Seele banner within 30 pulls and Jing Yuan in my first multi. That F2P luck was hitting different

Gepard is nice for team shielding, but that's about it I got him but right now I'm using MC as the main tank honestly just feels way better as a traditional tank. With that being said, the shielding is very damn nice, especially later on when u stack up those Def

Most lightcone are so universally useful, I personally don't mind if i lose 50/50 on lightcone. Also level a new character is expensive af after lvl 50

Qingque is the only quantum character in my deck, so I did built her. There are some battles in Loufu where you won't win early enough if you don't have quantum figure.
My first 5 star was himeko, she was really good early game.
Well if I remember right Gepard is a better tank but he does very little dmg but the fire trailblazer is more of a brawler she can draw aggro but still dish out the dmg but can’t tank forever like Gepard. So right now the fire MC is better till we need a true tank in future updates to the end game.

Saw this 4 months late, and i can indeed confirm i only pulled a himeko in my free 80 pull
Sampo is straight up a beast and became an absolute nuke with kafka.
I already got Welt, Seele and Himeko… and three of them are completed for now. I’m just gonna stay at Trailblazer lvl 40 just to build up some more characters to get more value from all characters.
Silverwolf and Seele gonna be a deadly combo mark my words
Finally got my 4th 5 star in the game...so far got Clara from Departure banner (got on 50th pull for said banner of course), Seele (took 60 or so pulls though), Himiko's Lightcone (got in 3rd pull on standard banner), and now Bronya...Lightcone (goddammit...granted will be good for when I eventually get Bronya probably a year or so from now but would've rather had her, Welt, or Himiko) last night at about 70 or so pulls.
Gotta hope I get some luck in the next character banner and either get the new character/lose the 50/50 to one of my wanted standard 5*s...or at least get eidolons for Clara I guess to make her stronger rather than Gepard, Bailu, and Iceboy if it's not Welt, Bronya, or Himiko. At the very least I wound up getting Tingyun and Shushang during those 180 or so pulls (all f2p so far too and haven't even gotten far in the ship 'world' yet).
The 4*s all being pretty good in this game also helps a lot too (unlike Genshin most/80% are useful while Genshin it's more like 50% max) so my team made up with them should be fine for a few months while waiting for a 5* I either really want in a future banner (all known ones I'm not really that interested in, even Seele who I got...pulled on the banner more so hoping I'd lose the 50/50 for a character I did want lol, granted her being the only 5* Quantum dps character does make her useful at least).
i got an early 5 star and another 5 star at pity on standard banner only for both to be light cones as f2p.

tbh I had arlen, tingyun, natasha, and gepard on a team it carried me through everything and I could beat things while underleveled as long as I kept gepard's shields up, lightcone on gepard that makes him targeted more.

Silver wolf is a good Quantum Support her skill can put extra weakness to enemies it's like 50/50 about no planting weakness or win planting a extra weakness that your team element have

The thing about gepard is that he has built in taunt with a passive and his shield is MUCH bigger than MC. MC has more convienent shields thou considering any action lets u get a free shield on your entire team but its basically almost nonexistant unless u playing pres in SU.
