I went last night in Indianapolis, and I have to say. Videos of Janet's concerts don't do her live shows justice. If you've never seen her live you have missed out. That performance last night was everything. She showed no signs of slowing down, no signs of being off, no signs of not being on cue. She was on point the entire show.
You are so correct the dancers you pointed out were AMAZING. I had the opportunity to work back stage as security for one of her venues. And the dancers were some of the sweetest people ever. GREAT TOUR!!
I saw her in Dallas! Glad my first concert ever was Janet Jackson. It was amazing ! All Night Don’t Stop, pleasure principle & Island life we’re my favorite from the show !! 💖
17:10 "Where Are You Now" is an interesting song. When the Janet album came out that song was all over the radio here in DC. It was always on the nightly radio countdown shows back then. It was a huge radio hit. I saw the first leg of the Janet tour and she performed it then which made me think it would be a single.
I saw her 3 times: Anaheim, San Diego & Hollywood Bowl - All EPIC. I got upgraded by Gil for Anaheim and SD but Hollywood Bowl was AMAZING! Well they all were amazing, but HB was extra epic because she brought out all her dancers who've danced with her on tour throughout the year. Man, to see her on stage dancing again with Tina, Tyce, Kelly, Terry, ALL OF THEM. So hype! I learned some things while at the Hollywood Bowl - she has a Netflix film crew following her around - there is a Netflix SOTW docu-series coming! Her label VP is hinting at new music that's coming as well. She is back and got some tricks up her sleeve - I'm so excited.
Man I wish I could have seen her bring out the old dancers-I would have lost it lol. I saw her in Dallas in September and LOVED the show but we definitely didn't get that treat. I'll see her again at the Essence Festival in NOLA in July. I can never get enough of her.
Really hope I get to see her live once in my life. I listen to her everyday. Probably will have to go to her instead of her coming to South Africa again. I missed the opportunity with Michael💔

Haven’t caught a her Saturday, New York, show..... on TH-cam.... .... popped in on Saturday around 9am.... She the most beautiful, sensual, humble, sweet heart, dignified lady in the world. Actually want to date here, but I blew it...... I hurt her, upset her, let her down, as best as I could understand.... I believe she made it crystal clear that there was no way that was ever going to happen. IT WAS DEFINITELY MY FAULT..... The reality is going to take a while to digest.... eventually I’ll be screaming at stupidity, from the rafters for a few months..... Then the pain of losing her knowing there’ll never be another Janet..... I’m afraid this will be the biggest mistake/regret of my life. It will haunt me for the rest of my life. If anyone can hook me up with the back to the future delorean. I know this yet I’m back on TH-cam looking for another Janet track.....torturing myself.

I just saw Janet in Jersey Sunday and I said that too about her ponytail, she was whipping it everywhere! 😅 I'm not mad that Janet lip synced some songs she's putting the work on stage. "What about" definitely was sung live she has great vocals and "Scream" was sung live too! Miss you much I wasn't ready either I was so into the visuals and then...BAM she was on stage!

Both of these passed concerts, I had tickets. The 2011 wasn't her fault. At the Sugarland concert (I was there), the stage collapsed. First time to see a Janet Jackson concert & it was fabulous.
I am late to this ... But I ended up missing Janet when she came to my hometown because I couldn't get off work. Just want to say, you seem like just the right person to get drunk at a Janet concert with! 😀🤣😂

I agree with you on the setlist for this tour is really good but I was hoping she'd add "Night" to the setlist. Hi Calvin! I really enjoyed your commentary. I'm also a HUGE Jan fan and I too can talk about Jan all day. I've only ever subscribed to one other individual on YT and you'll be my second. You remind me of a dearly departed friend of mine named Jomaine Fairfax. He and I would play all of Janet's song cassettes in my 1990 Toyota Celica. I even crashed my car in Harlem, trying to retrieve the Janet cassette that had fallen onto the floor in my car. Just on the strength of you being such a Jan fan, I wished I lived closer to you, just so we could have lunch and talk about Janet and all her contributions to the music industry. Well, me like you can go on and on about Jan but I won't because no one likes to read...lol! Enjoyed your review. I saw the show in Fresno ca and in Los Angeles Hollywood bowel with all the old dancers. Man that was awesome. This was a huge upgrade from the unbreakable show, which I got to see twice. I loved all the visuals and songs never performed before. hopefully she will come with more content in 2018 I’ve been hearing rumors that she will and hopefully you will do more reviews on Janet stuff. :)
Omg I just love you and want you to be my best friend just from your video. I agree with everything. I’ve never missed one Janet show. She is definitely that kind of entertainer that brings everyone together regardless of race age sex creed whatever. Everyone just loves her and is so happy to be watching her perform. I was also lucky like u to see the Rock Wichu Tour in Atlanta. And I remember days before the show there was news that she had vertigo or something and I was thinking to myself please God don’t cancel. Well she didn’t cancel and performed in Atlanta and after the show there was a press release that she canceled the rest of the tour. So I got lucky. And agree it was a awesome show. I like you have always loved her through the good the bad through everything and always will. I see the state of the world tour next week in Bham AL and her last show again in Atlanta. I cannot wait and so excited
My heart has yet to recover from the cancellation of the Unbreakable Tour... I am in Paris, and she was suppose to perform in town, that would have been my first time seeing her live. I had E-V-E-R-Y THING ready, from my ticket to my outfit... And in some random morning, I received a repayment. God knows that I'm always glad to see money, but that day, I swear I almost cried.
I think because she had the baby backstage with her at every show she didn't want to have a lot of additional people back stage. I would have loved a meet n greet.
I loved the DC show. I also liked the part where she performed No Sleeep with J. Cole on the screen.. it was hard to watch What About. The band played a riff from Black Cat and i got excited!!! But she didn’t perform it 😕
Really was hoping she'd dedicate a part of this tour specifically to Velvet Rope, seeing as this year was its 20th anniversary. She could've used part of the set list of this tour to commemorate it by performing tracks like Free Xone, Empty, & My Need (songs she's never performed live from that album).
Wow, you sound just like me. Like you, I was suppose to see her here in DC last March as well. Of course we know how that went. When I saw that video of her speaking about starting a family, I was livid! The first thing that came to my mind was” you could have had 3 kids by now. I didn’t really think she would be back in a year, I figured two at the most, but I held on to my ticket because I have been to every tour & the thought of getting a refund would somehow seem unfathomable as a true die hard fan. I too was at the concert on the 16th & she was fantastic. I liked the change of songs & again, like you, I am content if this was her last one. She gave us die hard fans more than enough. I would still like a couple more albums, but she needs to enjoy her time in her new role as a mother.
I saw this concert too. It was great! I was surprised how cheap our tickets our tickets were. All these delays are probably why. I’m not up on celebrity stuff. Honestly, I didn’t even know about the SuperBowl thing until you talked about it. (I mean I remember the scandal but I didn’t realize people banned just her and all that).

Yea she really owes Europe a great tour. Europe has been very patient and has been cancelled a few times of the past few tours.
