Dillon's voice--pure perfection; as is Robert Felstein's unmatchable piano accompaniment.

Thank you! There are: th-cam.com/users/contraltino Enjoy!
Dillon, 100 years from now, computer/robots will do almost all jobs humans now do, and better at that. What they will NOT be able to do is what you have so clearly mastered with your singing. I'll venture to say that the future of the human race will consist of humans doing great art -- like your singing. Keep it up ... forever.
Simply divine, thank you.

Brilliant......What a lovely performance....superb!
my comments..not posting and don't know why.If ANYONE sees, especially Mr.McCatney: I'm not particularly fond of the "Irish Tenor Sound." However.... have been surfing the net ALL DAY for a version of this to find something suitable to send to some friends. As a former pro opera/classical singer...and now Conductor/ voice teacher,I am compelled to say the following:THIS.Ultra wonderful! voice and piano, plain and simple.Unlike all of the bombastic"yelling" I've heard, this is treated truly in the manner of an "art song." The subtleties, nuances, expression, breath control, tonal placement.Just wonderful and Bravo! A grand thumbs up and my thanks for sharing this.
Beautiful

Great!!!
Fantastic
Thank you, so much!
I have heard many versions of Danny Boy, some very good, and some ridiculously horrible! But I have to say that this is the most beautiful singing of Danny Boy that I have ever heard in the 73 years of my life! It brings me to tears every time I hear it performed so beautifully.
Aye,yi,yi, a form of TBI has kept me from expressing the long overdue, overwhelming gratitude due Mr. Dillion McCartney (any relation to Paul?) for this performance. Please, don't think I'm scary, but, right before the Aurora, CO shooting spree (I've got a theory based upon the pre-cognition I suffered beforehand.) I kept being awakened, by this most, lyrical expression never heard sung before. Aside from the profuse tears I'd been expressing I was guided to find, ethereal, Dillion McCartney.
Beautiful!
Ok, this was a very very excellent performance what a timbre, compassion in your voice, absolutely amazing, thank you, I am a singer my self and I shall perform this piece and needed to get a feeling of it´s character, once again very great performance!
Thank you, so much, Anders! I was just featured on a BBC Radio 4 broadcast, this week with celebrated British author, Jan Morris. Please take a listen: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0901fqc
The lyrics to "Danny Boy" were indeed written by Englishman, Frederic Weatherly. The melody or tune to which he set his lyrics is The Londonderry Air from County Londonderry. It is most certainly Irish and predates Weatherly's setting by at least fifty years.
I hope you enjoyed the performance.
great voice !
Thanks!
Men country and westean s music
Top notch! Thanks a lot.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Many thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Lovely voice I would like him to sing unchained melody
Thanks, David!
Wonderful. Yet not as simple as some may think.
Bravo!! Bellissima voce!
Beautiful voice, you now have a new fan..:)
I agree; his voice is glorious. Check out Matthew Pollenzani's version as well; absolutely tear-inducing.
Listen ro frank Patterson version
Oh....DANNY BOY...
Great high tenor. Maybe borderline Counter tenor. Those are a real treat !
Yes, actually. But not in the modern sense of "Countertenor," as I am not a falsetto singer. But there is a male voice category that is still a type of tenor, only the voice sits a perfect fourth higher than a traditional tenor, and that is what I am. Some of the more famous tenors that share the voice category are Juan Diego Florez, Russell Oberlin and many of the Pop and Rock tenors of the 1950-1990. Historically they were called Contraltino, Altino, Haute Contre et al.
good
Thanks!
@7906jun Thank you for your kind comment!
and were those High A's falsetto? If they were in Full, you have amazing control, if not it sounds very rich and full for falsetto.
Not falsetto. Thanks for asking and for the compliment!
Er, except that majority ( for the time being ) Are Unionist protestant Britons who very much call it the city and county of Londonderry .
