@@KnjazNazrathI’ve never seen a covers band playing a Becker tune but one of my originals bands used to cover altitudes and it was scary EVERY time we played it!
Mr. Brightside was my first thought when I saw the question as well. I've seen that song take out many a good guitar player in a cover band situation (possibly including me, on occasion 😂). I think the two things that always made me tense up a little in my covers band days were singing the high harmony in the chorus of Livin' On A Prayer, in the original key. And for some reason I will never know, I always butchered the end of the guitar solo in Run To Paradise 😬 It became an in-joke in the band, and I always got 'the look' as the moment was approaching, making it a self-fulfilling prophecy 😂
Sweet Child is a funny one because soo many guitarists learn it at such an early stage in their playing it’s easy to forget how hard it is to perform live if you aren’t used to it
Haha this was a random video but weirdly enough I actually ended up in the deepest reddit hole and am literally thinking about doing another one this weekend
What are your most difficult songs to cover?
We play Landslide and it’s actually hard to get the feel right live as it very easily becomes a slog
@@Owlgirl-fz9zj That's true! The bass can definitely start to drag it all down if the groove isn't quite right
Cliffs of dover is sup[er hard to cover
"Rain" by Jason Becker. Such a simple song on the surface, but the phrasing is crazy.

Loved the long-form video (as opposed to your usual uploads). Keep it up!
@@thinmint6778 cheers! Glad you enjoyed it!
It took me a LOT of time to figure out Mr Brightside, that one is hard ngl.
Surprisingly awesome song to play though definitely worth it
Thanks, really awesome video. Interesting to hear your tips and seeing you play the songs.

Ooh to be fair I’ve seen Run to Paradise fall apart on stage more than a few times now
You were probably at one of my gigs then bro 😂😂
@@OwenVickersGuitarhahaha it’s all about consistency!
Sweet Child of Mine intro is tricky, hard to play clean and the slightest mistake is so obvious. I avoid it like the plague. Hi from NZ.
I've used that as my warm up for awhile, its pretty much brainless at this point😂
