Many Railway Stations in Mumbai are dotted with sellers trying to sell the cheapest possible stuff. Out of curiosity, I decided to check out some of the watches these people had. One jumped out - a fake DW5600 like Gshock with negative display and decent backlight for around 1.78$ It's truly crazy how low the barrier of entry to getting "A watch" is
I’ve 2 “first copies” of A171 (and dozens of original Casios). They’ve a decent finish and A first glance doesn’t reveal that they’re copies. However, they run fast by a minute a month and they’ve a poor backlight.

What I find really astonishing about all of it is that they must still be making a profit or they wouldn't bother

I have a Skmei F91W homage and it's actually served me very well. I prefer it to the F91 because of the larger case size.
I've got a Skmei too, not had any issues either, think there's a pretty big gap between a homage with a name to it and one without ^^
It's kind of amazing that someone bothered to make a watch that is illegible and keeps poor time to sell it at such low margins.

It does not really matter for the price 😂
