- The first time Delhi-based interior designer Shivani Dogra stepped foot in Goa, it was to sign the deed to lease a house that she finalised from Delhi after viewing some grainy photos. This traditional Goan home would be her design studio. As a Goa newbie she didn’t expect the issues the heavy monsoon would bring with it. But now having spent some time repairing the roof, the structure and doing up the interiors, Shivani is now starting to feel at home in her studio. So we spoke to her about what it takes to convert an old Goan home into a work studio.

I am from Brazil and have recently discovered this channel and am loving it. I really like decor content, but most of the channels I find are from North America or the UK, which of course will have architecture and decor leaning more torwards colder weather needs. I find it so interesting to see how much I can draw inspiration from contemporary decor in India to think about decor in Brazil. Beautiful beautiful house by the way!

I’ve been following Ms Dogra for years now and her simplicity and her retention of the natural flow of space always is endearing

Exquisite collection of heirloom furniture and collectibles that draw one's attention to artefacts like the aqua colored glass bottles and the blue and white ceramic planter?
Love the way each part of the house has come alive with the play of muted colours, plants and splash of cream and terracotta.
The pleasure of viewing this house was fleeting, almost blurred in its sprint through it.
Would have loved to linger in many parts of the house, the better to absorb the defining details that have gone into this luxurious space. without being overwhelmed by it.
Which means I would love to visit it some day.

I'm glad the house found someone like you. Many others (like me) would not have seen the hidden (or not so hidden) potential of the house. The look and feel of the place seem to take you back to a time when time moved at a slower pace. Very tastefully done. Really enjoyed the tour.
Its a very well lit spacious calming home with lots of positive vibes and old world charm to it. Would be interested to know what are the challenges of living in a dated property like this? Is it the plumbing? Toilets? Insects? But come wjat may i would laaaav to live here
