she deserves so much more recognition
A real artist
She’s not exactly obscure…
Agree
She IS very recognized world-wide and has been from the beginning. One of the great artists that emerged from the 90s.
She's got two Mercury Music awards and was honoured by the queen, not very obscure.
She can play any instrument and reach your soul, goodness.
I believe she learned piano specifically for this album as well.
@@davidfewtrell3479 ? i am not sure about that ? who was playing the piano in '' we float ''??
i need to rewatch this performance from time to time to heal my soul
Lyrics:
White chalk hills are all I've known
White chalk hills will rot my bones
White chalk sticking to my shoes
White chalk playing as a child with you
White chalk south against time
White chalk cutting down the sea at Lyme
I walk the valleys by the Cerne
On a path cut 1500 years ago
And I know
These chalk hills will rot my bones
Dorset's cliffs meet at the sea
Where I walked our unborn child in me
White chalk gorse-scattered land
Scratch my palms
There's blood on my hands...
These chalk hills will rot my bones
Very Neil Young. Love the extra heavy echo.
Still beautiful as ever
Seeing her live doing this song at least 5 times. It never gets old!!
Merci, PJ , d'être là, parmi nous, avec nous ...
Tears every time

TTE approves.
A Sekhmet devotion.
✌️😎🤘❤️🇧🇷
What is she using to make the echo?
My guess is that she is using the small vox amp to add filter/delay/reverb (I assume in that order).
@@marialihuensirvent1006 Thanks for replying!

Too much ethereal going on, the flat accoustic version of tiny desk tooch me so much more.
good song , great artist and i know it is supposed to be special sounding and all that but it ends up being almost unlistenable with all that reverb and echo.
I think that's the point.
Try listening on a chilly October night with nothing but candles lit and you’re just absolutely shattered from the day. Like you want to sleep but can’t? When you’re overwhelmingly exhausted. Then listen to this song
So, why is fox hunting good again?
? where do you see fox hunting here ? i don't get it. is it a private joke ? or in the litteral sense ??
@@celinee.9562 it’s been said that polly used to support fox hunting. Being a country girl she misses the tradition. Only thing I don’t like about polly. But hey no ones perfect.
@i'm not here and very talented. Hence their hundreds of unique musical artists. No country in the world holds a candle to Britain when it comes to music post 1963
Well, it might keep them from ragging my bins all over the garden for one. And if you were a farmer who made his living out of real work, not smelling ppls farts in some useless office somewhere, who's employees seem to be under the illusion theyre working, you might not appreciate your lambs and poultry going missing all the time. but I imagine you're a city dweller, and don't understand where all that meat you eat came from. So, why is eating meat a good thing? I mean, it's not like you have to is it, but you still do don't do.
ouch, too much reverb/delay.
And it fits the song beautifully
I personally like the delay/echo, and this live arrangement compared to the album version of the song, but to each their own.
