Appreciate the comparison and seeing their modifications. I love the card stock too, except it makes it so hard for me to open. Love to display them in card.
Yes, it's glorious packaging. I've been pretty selective with which 40th figures I buy to open since the differences are often so negligible. But I try to collect one of each to keep carded in my collection.
The skirt, cama or whatever it is called really hinders this figure for me. The rubber not only hinders posability but hinders balance as well. Why they did not use a cloth is beyond me. I would have gotten the new version if the had fixed this aspect.
The Cardback makes this an easy pickup for me! However, I am a bit disappointed to note how similar they are! Hasbro seemed to indicate that there were going to be some changes to make it more screen accurate, but based on what i have just seen, the both look as accurate or inaccurate to the screen used costume.
Thank you Victoria, I’ve seen at a Japanese convention that they had all the bounty hunters lined up... I do really hope we get to complete the set on CardBack... anyway; great to view your channel, subscribing now... have a fab weekend!! 👍🏻
@@martinroskilly9994 Hasbro has released all the bounty hunters over the past few years. It would be neat to see the rest on 40th vintage cards. Thanks for the kind words!
Doesn’t Target have a street date of sometime in September on this wave, and if so, how did you get around the register lock? I’m done with Target as I got registered lock three times in the past two months; once trying to buy the Anniversary wave with Luke Snowspeeder (screwed at checkout), once trying to buy The Child Funko Pops (with cup and frog - screwed again at checkout), and then finally a week ago trying to buy the Black Series Luke/Yoda Dagobah set (locked out again!). Target has lost my business forever!
@@VictoriasCantina I agree. Reading that initial announcement I was expecting something way more significant. I pre-ordered it based on that, but at the end of the day having another trooper is never a bad thing! Thanks again for your review!!!
The differences are so negligible it's strange they even exist. Especially if they are conscious design choices rather than accidental factory changes.
Both versions are far too dirty for my liking. My first thought was why didn't they do the tiniest of changes & make this a commander? The little detail on the belt is a thermal detonator
I was well pissed off I got mine payed 40 quid thinking I was never going to be another chance to get this figure then a month later this wave came out for 20 quid only difference mines in the box not the card but I display mine .guess I can get another one for half price now lol good review ..2 looks better than just one only one took the wrong route by the look of there skirts
The original is clearly better but I never got it so I’m happy to get this. When I think Snow troopers, I think fun and Ice Cream. That’s completely unrelated to this review, but I just felt the need to say it
Not only is it virtually the same figure but comparing it to the movie they are pretty much dead on screen accurate so I dont know what Hasbro was talking about saying its more accurate..Prob trying to sell the figure I guess when that gorgeous cardback is all it takes to sell it
I definitely agree that the changes here really aren't significant. Both versions look almost exactly the same. That's kind of disappointing. This does give me an excuse to get another Snowtrooper since I've only got one of the original release. It'll be cool to have a couple of troopers flanking ESB Vader whenever I get him. And they'll look slightly different from each other. But otherwise, this is an easy pass. This is good for collectors who missed out on the original figure, I guess. Not that the original goes for a lot on the secondary market. But I think the biggest selling point is that vintage card back.
I guess we should be thankful it's the Snowtrooper and not the AT-AT Driver! Not that I dislike that figure. I just like this one (and the Kenner card) a little more.
Wish we would get a Hoth Chewie. Like wise a carded Hoth Han. The double pack version of Han & Leia is just 🤢🤮 And both versions are not cheap/easy to come by
@@VictoriasCantina yeah, try getting it it the UK. Whoever greenlighted that collar should be fired & blacklisted from ever getting a job again Besides, that wasn't the uniform he was wearing during that scene & why is it called "Bespin" Han when he wears the uniform from 5 minutes in throughout the film? 🧐🤷♂️
One of the first ESB figures I bought back in 1980. Love this figure. Thanks for the review!
Great review as always! Always a true professional, knowledgable, and detail-oriented! Thanks for the comparisons!
Very kind. Thank you!
Simp sighted ☝️🧐

That's a really good point and it's very true. A lightweight soft goods kama would have really helped in those areas.
Great detailed review! The minute paint app changes, especially on imperials, always sucker me into buying the variant.
Another awesome fantastic video from Victoria , star wars snow troopers reviews awesome figure .keep collecting and may the force be with you 👽👽👽
It's... ok... I'm not gonna go rush out to get it, though.
Hello beautiful Victoria thank you for this podcast! Have a fantastic Friday! 😃👍♥️
Me: Cash Grab!
Also Me: I must have it!
love this snowtrooper!! thanks
I've said it before and I say it again. The cama should be cloth so we can get full use of those legs.
These look great together with Range Troopers
Great review thanks! One carded and one to open for me!

I hope they weren't referring to the tiny metallic details they added to the backpack! Either way, it's gorgeous on card.
I will be getting it for sure. Classic card rocks !
It's a good one!
thanks for reviewing these, I'll get one and keep it on the card.
Thanks for watching!
Nice comparison, don’t have any of the original release so I’ll snag a few of these bad boys. The color difference is so minimal. 🤨
Definitely necessary if you don't have the original.
Superb review.... do you know when the rest of the 40th Anniversary Bounty Hunters will be released?
I don't think they have confirmed anything more for the 40th 6" line at this point. They did release the Amazon exclusive 4-LOM/Zuckuss pack as well.

Thanks for the review. I was expecting much more of a color change based on Hasbro’s comments.
Me too. It's just not really enough of a change to justify a purchase for most people in my view.

The slightly dirtier looking boots aside, it's hard to see too much difference on first glance. Still a really nice looking figure 👍 great review 👍

I'll pick this one if I see him

Right, I'm not sure what they were getting at. Perhaps better to say nothing, haha. As you said, the card is enough of a draw already.

How tall is it?
Black Series are 6" scale.

The double pack version was going for about $60 for quite a while on Amazon, which I think is about what it cost as a convention exclusive.

They always are depicted with slightly dirty and slushy boots but nothing that drastic. Why is it sooo dark
